Initial Expectations: All I’ve seen from Kick Ass Productions so far has been Barefoot Confidential 15, which was very impressive and made me want to check out more from the studio. I’m really hoping this one is as good as my other Kick Ass experience.

Initial Reaction: It’s a lot of fun and pretty hot too.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for fun sex and who likes girls in glasses

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who thinks heat is dependent on the number of cocks a girl can take at one time

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear, but there is a fair amount that’s slightly unbalanced. There’s also a couple spots that sound like it might be the stars being given directions, but it’s low enough that I couldn’t be sure. The video is much the same. The picture is clear and mostly free of shadows, but there’s a little bit of pixelation and grain here and there.

Music: There’s a little music here and there, but not really enough to speak of.

Disc Problems / Complaints: Before you get to the main menu, there’s a phone sex commercial and one for a pill to make your dick bigger. You can skip past them, which is great, but it would be much better if they were left as options on the main menu instead.

Menus: The main menu is nicely done and has some decent animation. The chapter menu is also very nicely done, and lets you choose a scene based on the girl in that scene.

The Feature: Specs Appeal 2 consists of five scenes, each of which are independent of each other, but all of which revolve around girls with glasses. Each girl has a different occupation, all of which are well known for glasses, and tells you how to score with a girl in her occupation. She shows you the wrong way to do things, and then the right way along with the possible results.

Majella, an average looking brunette with a nicely natural body and a pierced tongue, starts things out showing you how you can get checked out by a librarian. After letting him sufficiently woo her, Majella throws herself at Dillion with some passionate kissing and a nice show of her body. I realize that the covers are not normally shot at the same time as the feature, but this could have been very easily covered up, since not all the girls are full nude.

Specs Appeal 2 shows that porn can be targeted for a specific group of people, yet still be fun enough to attract others. As the title would suggest, each scene contains a girl who wears glasses, and they’re all treated with a bit of respect. They’re not treated as dumb bimbos, and they know they’re in control here. If you don’t play by their rules, you ain’t gonna get any. This makes for a nice change in attitude from most porn, and is part of the reason I enjoyed Specs Appeal 2 as much as I did. Ann Marie, Sunrise Adams, and Nikita Denise all stand out very well in their scenes, but the other two girls also did an above average job that’s nothing to shy away from. If Kick Ass can continue with this kind of a quality feature, I think they’re going to be around for quite a while. I know I’m going to be picking up more of their stuff.

Extras: Trailers are included for Grrl Power 6, Barefoot Confidential 12, Smokin’, and Chica Boom 9. The slide show lasts two minutes, with six seconds per nice looking framed photo. You can also watch the same commercials that started out the DVD, as well as get website information. The main extra, however, is the almost nine minutes of bloopers. There’s a nice mix of bloopers here, from the standard bumbled lines to the sexual outtakes that makes a great addition to the DVD.

Overall: Currently, Specs Appeal 2 can be found online for between $19 and $28 with several stores offering it near the low end. I’d be awfully tempted to pick this up at the low end. The scenes are fun and have some nice heat. The transfer is also well done, and the bloopers make for an extra that offers a little something special.

Note to Kick Ass: The bloopers are a nice addition to your DVDs. I hope you continue to include them.
