The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I don't think I noticed a single background noise. The video is presented in Blue Light Special non-anamorphic widescreen. It's nicely lit and has just a touch of grain. The camera work is also pretty smooth. This would be an impressive looking movie if Adam & Eve could present it in anamorphic widescreen like some of their competition.

Music: The music is just a little on the loud side, but not bad enough to interfere too much. It has a surprisingly hard and driving feel for porn music, and actually works pretty well for the movie.

Menus: The main menu is fairly generic, and lets you choose a scene based on the still from the boxcover with a small clip from the movie in the background. The chapter menu is pretty well done, and lets you choose a scene based on the name of the lady in each scene and a slightly pixelated clip from the scene.

The Feature

It's bound to happen. Siblings are going to fight. Sometimes it doesn't even matter what it's about. For Mia and Ava, the fight often turns to boys with Mia trying to screw each of Ava's boyfriends. Of course, one bad deed deserves another...

Scene 1 – Ava Rose and Mentally Ill Dude

Scene 2 – Mia Rose and Mentally Ill Dude

This is another very nice and very satisfying scene.

Scene 3 – Gwen Diamond and Seth Dickens

Scene 4 – Penny Flame and Tony Tedeschi

After how great the Rose sisters were and with Gwen keeping right up, a typical Penny scene just fell a little behind them. If they hadn't checked Tony Tedeschi out of the nursing home for the day this could have probably been a better scene. Although it's far from a bad scene, this was the weakest scene in the movie to me.

Scene 5 – Ava Rose and Jean Val Jean

When Ava's away, Mandy pokes a few holes in her birth control knowing she'll probably be hooking up with Jean later. When Ava and Jean do hook up, they quickly get on with the kissing, stripping down, and exchanging oral favors. Double Trouble is a pretty hot fuck flick. The two of them put out great sexual performances and play to the plot segments nicely as well. Sadly the plot isn't much, and goes with the cue card format as much as anything to move it aDude. The Roses are nicely matched with a female cast that's good enough that the always reliable Penny Flame ends up being the weak link, but sadly Jean Val Jean is the only really good looking guy in the cast for the ladies. Sexually, Double Trouble is a great porn that's filled with fairly intense passionate sex, but even though the Rose sisters do as much as they can with it, the plot holds it back from being as good as it might have been.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts six and a half minutes with about five seconds per nice looking to noticeably pixelized snapshot or full screen photo. There's also bonus scenes, a behind the scenes featurette, and weblinks.

The behind the scenes lasts a little under eleven minutes. When it's time for Ava to get interviewed, she brings the BTS camera dude outside so they can chat while she has a smoke. They chat about the movie and her being one of Adam & Eve's contract girls before moving inside for a few shots of the movie being made. Things return to Ava smoking to chat about the good chemistry in their scenes and how things are between her and Mia before moving back inside to watch Ava sing as she showers up. There's also a little fun with Penny and Tony before a few stills are shot and Ava makes some noises, talks about anal being a Dude time off on-screen, and her preferences. This is a pretty good behind the scenes featurette. I like how it mixes things up between Ava's interview, where she shows some great personality, and the making of the movie. At the same time, I couldn't help but be disappointed because with two sister porn stars in a movie about sibling rivalry they only interview one of the sisters! A little time with Gwen would have also been a nice touch. Just like the movie, there's a lot to like about this featurette but it doesn't quite end up as good as it might have.

Bonus Scene 1 – Audrey Leigh, Chrissy Taylor, Rick Taylor, and Vincent Vega

The first bonus scene comes from Sex Trainer. Currently, many of Adam & Eve's DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $25 with a few stores offering them near the low end. This one's probably worth the money. The story isn't much, but the sex is darn hot. The technical aspects show some pretty good care and there's even some good care put into the extras. The biggest problem with this one is that Adam & Eve didn't care enough to give the movie an anamorphic widescreen transfer.

Note to Adam & Eve: It's great that you use the widescreen format, but if you're going to do so please give your movies the anamorphic transfers they deserve.
