I remember this movie from when it first came out. It combined two all American passions: Cheerleaders and football. This was the era of NFL cheerleaders posing in men's magazines and TV movies about the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders so the adult industry had no choice but to capitalize on it. But looking back on it now, you can tell the era it was filmed in. The lighting isn’t that good, the sex scenes are short and the women are very average looking. [read the full review]

What makes this film controversial is that it is one of the few offerings available in which true, identical twin sisters engage in a sex act with each other (they partake in an actual, incestuous act). The twins in this case are the Young twins, Brooke and Taylor, who also appeared in another film together, "Teenage Twins". The plot here revolves around the twins, their uncle (who believes that they may have stolen money from him before running away), a private investigator (who is tasked with following the twins), and a number of other characters that they encounter along the way. This is a 70s porno, so there are no condoms involved, but there is plenty of bush to go around. The scenes tend to be shorter, and the plot tends to be heavier than in most modern adult films. It's a hefty dose of reality--and reality ain't always fair--for a trio of young women trying to chase down their dreams and make their way through the dirt and grime that is the Big Apple of the early 1980's. Indeed, "Roommates" from Chuck Vincent and Video-X-Pix, an exceptional, 1981 release, brings together a former prostitute trying to escape her past (Samantha Fox), a drug-addicted model who seems to find trouble everywhere she turns (Kelly Nichols), and an aspiring actress from out of town (Veronica Hart) as newly-minted roomies in the rough life of NYC. The VCX dvd of Debbie Does Dallas is slightly longer than the NuTech dvd of Debbie Does Dallas. I have seen both and noticed 4 slight cuts to the NuTech dvd. None of which were major. The running time on the VCX dvd is 19 seconds longer than the NuTech dvd, but the NuTech dvd has a better quality picture so I would recommend going with the NuTech dvd over the VCX dvd. The VCX dvd is divided into 5 chapters and there is a pause when the player switches between these chapters. This is not the case on the NuTech dvd as the movie is on one track on the NuTech dvd. Afternoon Delights is an excellent vignette feature film from prolific golden age director Shaun Costello. Costello put as much work into the non-sexual portions of the film as the sexual portions of the filmmaking Afternoon Delights feel, even though the sex scenes really aren't connected, like they all are connected and that the film is one continuous story.
