The films on the release span from 1978 to 1985 and, honestly, fans of golden age adult films should find several to their liking, even if not all of the films included are favorites. Vinegar Syndrome's All Night at the Po-No is a collection of 12 quickly and cheaply made early 70s Los Angeles made adult films. A lot of what is presented here after one viewing you will never want to view again. There are a few others that will stand up to repeated viewings. Vinegar Syndrome wisely decided to make the cost not to expensive so it doesn't matter that a lot of the films presented here are duds. The few winners make up for it. The transfers aren't up to Vinegar Syndrome's usual standards but all the films are watchable. Vinegar Syndrome did miss the mark a little on the disc authoring and the extras included. Aphrodisiac!: The Sexual Secret of Marijuana is an early adult film masquerading as a documentary about pot. The documentary is completely made up and does offer the viewer any real information. Review: Where Are They Now? is a good production from Sun Lust and Paradise Visuals that should also come with a warningactually two warnings. The first is a good one: the heat thats generated in some of the sequences, particularly the old-school Ginger Lynn segment with John Holmes and the new Dyanna Lauren boy-girl scene, is off-the-chartsso if you have a heart condition or you burn easily, beware. The second warning is of the not-so-good variety: there are some pretty serious technical issues in the new material here. Basically what occurs in this production is a good amount of pixilation (of the horizontal line type) that is particularly pronounced when there is motion. There also seems to be some sort of issue with fast motion itself, as well. It almost feels as though it trails or hesitates a bit across the screen. Day 5 of Vividfest rocks on with the winner, Where are They Now? This DVD brings you the best of both worlds! One classic scene and one current scene from three of the biggest adult film stars of all time. First you will see them in the scenes that made them famous and then you will see them today! This 6 scene 2 hour release features Ginger Lynn, Dyanna Lauren, and Nina Hartley in scenes from their 1st time around and also a more recent scene. This release is well worth getting for any one of the ladies, but with a combined effort, you should be in classic era heaven with this collection. From the classic era, Ginger is the hottest of the three, which is by no means a slam on the others; its just that Ginger was my first.
