Edward D. Wood, Jr., never made a huge impression in the mainstream film industry, however, the adult work that he did toward the end of his life continues to be sought out today by both fans of Edward D. Wood, Jr., and by fans of the adult industry. The majority of Wood's adult work was in making loops; loops were short, often under ten minutes, sex scenes with a little set up that were silent and sold to home consumers on 8mm film.

Loops are usually anonymous efforts without cast or crew credits making it often to identify who made each loop. Based on Wood's résumé, it is likely that Wood made up to 716 short subject loops for the adult film industry; few of which have been identified up to this day. Ed's Wood Volume 2: Get Your Wood On is the second compilation of loops believed to have been made by Wood that has been released by CineFear Video.

The first release, Ed Wood's 8mm Porn Loops, concentrated on Swedish Erotica loops that are believed to have been made by Wood. This release finishes the Swedish Erotica loops and includes two loops from John's Girls and one from Garter Girls.

The first seven loops in Ed's Wood Volume 2: Get Your Wood On are all from the Swedish Erotica series. “Park Lovers” (SE 0007), starring John Holmes, “Morning Walk” (SE 0011), starring Keith Erickson, “Big John — Part 1” (SE 0012) — also released as Expo Film title “Super Stud” (EF 56) with part two — and “Big John — Part 2” (SE 0013), both starring John Holmes and Barbara Barton, “15" Commercial” (SE 0017) — also released as Expo Film title “Huge Hard-On” (EF 41) — starring John Holmes and Cyndee Summers, “Wives at Play” (SE 0018), and “Two Hot to Handle” (SE 0019), starring Keith Erickson.

The next two loops are from John's Girls. “69 Park Lane Drive” (John's Girls 7) – also released as Pussycat title “Fat Whopper” (PC 434) — starring Saundra and John Holmes from 1975, and “Camper Pickup” (John's Girls 8) — also released as Exciting title “Cocky Campers” (EX 920) — starring Maria Arnold, Saundra, John Holmes, and Keith Erickson from 1975. The final loop is from Garter Girls and is “Hot Triangle” (Garter Girls 9), starring Saundra.

Wood's loops are always interesting to watch, especially for fans of adult loops. While most loops contain barely a setup and then just the sex, the viewer can tell that Wood was trying to do more even though he was making less. Despite having sunk from making films that appeared on the silver screen to making adult loops that appeared in booths in the back of stores Wood still was always trying to make a film, even with his loops. This is what, to this day, makes Wood's loops still worth seeking out. When other loop directors were just grinding out sex scene after sex scene with no real care for the audience, Wood was still trying to churn out a quality product.

CineFear Video has done an acceptable job with their manufacture on demand DVD of Ed's Wood Volume 2: Get Your Wood On. Loops were generally shot on 16mm film that were distributed to the consumer on 8mm film prints. CineFear used 8mm film prints for their transfer, however, it looks like it was a low definition transfer that was made. With compilations such as Ed's Wood Volume 2: Get Your Wood On, each loop comes from a different source print so the quality varies throughout the compilation. The image contains the expected grain, artifacts, and print damage. Ed's Wood Volume 2: Get Your Wood On appears to be presented in the non-anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.66:1, which is odd since the original source material would have been in the Academy aspect ratio of 1.37:1, in 480i. The image can be overly dark at times and colors are often too light.

Ed's Wood Volume 2: Get Your Wood On is presented with a Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural audio track that contains funky music. Since loops were silent, some sort of audio had to be presented here and this is just as good as any other. There are burned in subtitles on the loops, unfortunately, the subtitles aren't always well-framed.

CineFear Video hasn't included any extras on this release.

Edward D. Wood, Jr., likely would have been surprised to know that in 2017 viewers would still be seeking out the adult film loops made by him; had he known he probably would have kept better track of them on his résumé. Ed's Wood Volume 2: Get Your Wood On is CineFear Video's second compilation of loops believed to have been directed by Wood. Fans of Wood's work will likely enjoy this volume as much as the first. CineFear Video has done an acceptable job with their manufacture on demand edition of Ed's Wood Volume 2: Get Your Wood On with poor framing of the video and other video issues present.
