This release from Vinegar Syndrome has two films from Duck Dumont from the same year on it. Both films suffer from the same issue, a lack of a plot and some lacking set design, but both have the same positive to them, some excellent sex scenes. Fans of Dumont will obviously want to pick up this release fans of the genre may ultimately be disappointed by the films on the release. Vinegar Syndrome has done an outstanding job with the audio and video quality on their DVD release of Pleasure Maze and Lovers Lane. [read the full review]

Place Beyond Shame, A review summaries:
Rick L. Blalock's
In the 1980 film, A PLACE BEYOND SHAME, Seka is a woman, whom, for some reason has lost her sex drive. After a most recent mishap with her potential lover, "Paul"(Don Fernando), Seka is frustrated beyond believe. Frustrated that she can't let her inhibitions fly, and indulge in the pleasures of sex. This is when she brings her frustrations to her best friend, "Diane"(Lori Blue), who is pretty promiscuous herself But as Diane goes on to explain it, she wasn't always this way. There was actually a time that Diane could not climax, thus experiencing the joys of the adventure. To rectify her situation, Diane hooked up with an unorthodox Psychiatrist named "Michael"(Paul Thomas), whose practices, soon knocked Diane out of her slumber. Inspired, Seka soon takes the initiative to see this Psychiatrist in hopes that the same can be done for her. [read the full review]

Peter North: The Lost Footage review summaries:
loverboy's
Culled from those old VHS tapes of the late 80s early 90s (that's my guess) we have an conglomeration of Peter North scenes lifted out of various movies....13 scenes in fact. I doubt they were really "lost" but rescued from oblivion off of those old movies is probably a better description. The woman often have huge hair and lots of hairspray. Peter even has what looks like a perm in one scene. That crappy music that pervaded porn back then is heard throughout the scenes. We've cum a long way baby since then, but those Peter North explosions are legendary and here they are again from the earlier days of his career. [read the full review]

Savannah: the Lost Footage review summaries:
fu_q's
"Savannah: The Lost Footage" is advertised as a "tribute" to one of the true stars in the history of adult films, Savannah. Released a bit after the 15 year anniversary of her tragic passing, this movie promises her fans a renewed look at the actress via offering up some rare footage. Sadly, these promises are largely empty, as the DVD is full not with the "4 Hours of the 'Legendary Savannah'" displayed on the front of the disc, but instead with fifteen scenes--only three of which actually feature the star. In all, the only reason that this DVD received any stars here is due to Savannah. The fact that only three of fifteen scenes include her is shameful. The claims of "4 hours" when there are barely over three is also inexcusable. The lack of a Main Menu and any type of bonuses is unfortunate, as well. I would avoid this disc unless you are the most avid Savannah fan imaginable and have to have everything that she has done. Indeed, Savannah deserves much better than this. [read the full review]

How To Get Ahead (Cal Vista) review summaries:
Rosco Fuji's
How to Get Ahead is a story driven disc from the late 80’s. Fun fact is it was directed by Ron Jeremy. I never really was impressed with the stuff that Ron directed, compared to what he brought as a performer. As was the standard back then, the scenes are rather on the short side as 6 scenes plus storyline are packed into 70+ minutes. We also have a backing soundtrack that I could swear is the rhythm section from the song Walk like an Egyptian. [read the full review]

Marina Heat review summaries:
Rosco Fuji's
Marina Heat is a mid 80s story driven feature starring most of the big names at the time. Amber Lynn, Gina Carrerra, Tracey Adams, Nikki Charm and Summer Rose round out the cast. Amber and Buck Adams play reporters that go undercover at the marina to complete an article on the Sex Lifes of the Free and Easy. As is with most to the features from this time period, the story is little more than a device to tie together sex scenes. At the time of production, overall production values for something like this were extremely lacking and kind of amateurish compared to todays technology. As was also the custom at the time, waxing, shaving, and overall pubic grooming were severely lacking. We also have the occasional shot of the guys reaction while getting head, but we were spared any of the guys faces while they were cumming. We also employ the standard feature technique of jumping back and forth between 2 scenes. All sex scenes are very short in length. [read the full review]

Classic 80s feature about a heavy metal" group, The Sextelettes, who seduce their way to the top of music industry food chain in an effort to get the elusive "airplay" for their video, "Hotter Than Hot." The D-Man's
You know, even with a steady stream of gonzo flicks, I think that there's always room in for some old-school porn. Of course, to me, old-school means mid-1980 and before. One film I remember seeing on VHS years ago was Rock Hard, with Taija Rae as Adonna, leader of the Sexelettes (with the sexy and legendary Nina Hartley as Cindi and Patti Cakes as Ultra-Box). As you can guess, these ladies will do anything and anyone (DJ's, managers, etc.) to get to the top. [read the full review]

John Holmes Three Disc Classic Collection 1, The review summaries:
Big Raider Fan's
The John Holmes Three Disc Classic Collection from Adam & Eve is a three disc set of some lesser known John Holmes movies. The movies included here are Treasure Box, Marina Vice, and Lottery Lust. These movies are fun and a bit nostalgic to watch. The girls all have big, BIG hair and hairy bush. Buck Adams is here as well remember him? The movies are short Lottery Lust is the longest at 83 minutes. The audio is not bad, and the picture quality is pretty good considering the source. All of the films were originally shot on video, and are presented in full-screen. Chapter stops are fair. Although John Holmes is really only a bit player here, these are still recommended for fans of 80s porn with its cheesy flair. [read the full review]

Camp Beaverlake: The Movie is a great example of everything that went wrong in the video tape era. Camp Beaverlake: The Movie is an early shot on video movie that has already tossed away everything from when adult films were shot on film. There is no real plot and much of what of present appears to be improvised. The movie is poorly shot and, despite Bobby Hollander coming from when adult films were shot on film, comes across as looking very amateur. Arrow has done a poor job with this release utilizing a horrible video master and including no extras. [read the full review]

Such is the case in "Barbara Dare's Affairs" (a.k.a. "Corporate Affairs"), a very good, 1986 release from Gourmet Video and director Carlos DeSantos. [read the full review]

Young Nympho (Caballero) review summaries:
fu_q's
George Payne's and his nymphomaniac wife's, Pauline Meadows, lives take on a new twist, when the latter becomes a prostitute at a high-end club and ultimately involves Payne's young secretary, Siobahn Hunter, in the mix. How things will ultimately play out for this tawdry trio is anyone's guess, but what's for certain is that there will be plenty of hot and sexy fucking along the way. Such is the case in "Young Nympho", an overall-good, 1986 release from director Lasse Braun and Caballero. [read the full review]

Friday the 13th Part 2: The Next Generation review summaries:
fu_q's
80's porn queen Barbii gets quite the 21st birthday surprise when she's transported to Hell and ends up with her long-lost twin brother, "Jason" (played by Tom Byron), in "Friday the 13th, Part Two". An overall-good porn flick of yesteryear from F. J. Lincoln and Caballero, this release finds the young starlet transformed from an innocent goody-two-shoes into (more or less) a diabolical harlot by the film's end, all under her brother's watchful tutelage. Not taking itself too seriously, the plot is fun and the sex scenes--though short--are fairly hot. With both Barbii and Tom as demons who are bent on causing trouble for humanity, there's enough of a storyline to hold this one together well...and things do get a little kinky at the end. For fans of porno nostalgia...and fans of Barbii...this one is worthy. [read the full review]

Erotic Adventures Of Bonnie & Clyde, The review summaries:
fu_q's
When just about every notorious outlaw of the day shows up by chance at her isolated, country farm, the young, adventure-seeking redhead, Shanna McCullough, does everything short of fucking them to get them to take her with them. (...Just kidding! She does that, too...) Such is the case in "The Erotic Adventures of Bonnie & Clyde", a decent, 1988 release from Gourmet Video and director Max Schenk. [read the full review]

Dirty Shary review summaries:

When the local police department needs help in cracking a white slavery ring, they call on the best. They call on "Dirty Shary" (Christy Canyon), whose notorious knockers are all the weapons she needs to infiltrate the group and save the day.
