The result is an absolute hack job that barely even resembles the original film. Vivid promised a Collector's Edition release of the movie with the uncut movie on it over a decade ago that never materialized. Sadly, this reviewer can't recommend this hack job of a modern classic.

Review brief: The Original Sex Academy is a prime example of how adult movies went wrong when they switched from shot on film productions to shot on video productions. The Original Sex Academy capitalizes on the name of Police Academy, but that is as far as any connection between the two movies. The Original Sex Academy is a series of sex scenes with some plotted portions between them to make the movie look like a feature movie. The sex scenes are average. There isn't any real reason to see this movie. Gourmet Video has done a better than their average job but still not average job with their DVD release with acceptable video and audio quality.

The technical aspects are a little weak and there's no real effort put into the extras to help out the overall release. This one's a lower level rental at best, which is definitely disappointing with the talent involved in it..

There's no real effort put into the extras, but that's nothing new for Desire Films. Instead I'm passing on this one as it's a compilation masquerading as a fresh release that appears to be trying to deceive consumers. Pass this one by.

Review brief: Zachary Strong attempted to do something new and original with Visions of Clair. However, the end result is sadly an incoherent mess. Visions of Clair is an easy film to skip. Cal Vista has done an acceptable job with their release with a watchable picture and listenable audio but not much more.
