The Movie

Earlier entries in the Kelly the Coed series featured footage shot on a college campus somewhere, which at least added some atmosphere to the movie. The last entry didn't have any footage that was recognizable as shot on a campus, but at least appeared to have been partially shot at a TKE frat house. This entry has no footage at all that was shot on a campus, nor any Greek life buildings. The whole movie appears to have been shot at a house.

The story for this one, what exists as a story that is, has Pi Pi sisters Kelly (Allysin Chaynes), Debbie (Aspen Brock), and Penny (Kaylynn) bringing two little Pi Pi sisters Monica (Monica Cameron) and Sheila (Sheila Rossi) to Penny's parents house to show them the ways of the Pi Pi sorority. TKE frat boys show up at their retreat and fuck everyone.

There really isn't a plot nor story for the movie. All of the above plot gets dumped in just before the first sex scenes and just after. It mostly serves as a setting for the movie. After that, with the exception of a few moments here and there and some set up, it is almost an all sex movie, which has been how this series has been going more and more.

Beyond dropping any attempt at a college setting for this entry, the whole production reeks of lazy. One set-up is just that a frat guy (Trevor Thompson) didn't get his blow job when Kelly gave them to all the other TKE frat boys. In the beginning of the movie, Sheila and Monica are given their Pi Pi manuals. The two manuals that are handed to them are not even matching books, one has a decorated cover and looks paperback while the other has a black cover and looks hardcover. This may seem like a slight and insignificant detail, but when one doesn't care to the point that they don't even try to get two matching books, the lack of effort shows throughout the entire project.

The Edition

Heatwave has done a poor job with this release. Kelly the Coed — Part 7 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The limitations of the original video masters is obvious. Flesh tones don't remain a constant color shifting from flesh to red in color throughout. Kelly the Coed — Part 7 is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track, which works for the material being presented. When the movie starts, a series of phone sex adverts start out, which are skippable.

There are a few extras included on the disc, and a few are even spelled correctly on the menu. “Meet the Stars” is a 33-minute video piece that has a short interview with a star, followed by the star masturbating. The stars, in order, in the feature are Allysin Chaynes, Kaylynn, Aspen Brock, Sheila Rossi, and Monica Cameron. There is a behind the scenes, or behind the scene as the menu calls it, piece that runs for 8 minutes. There is a photo gallery, or photogallery as the menu calls it, included on the disc. The sex scenes offer two angles each.

Final Thoughts

The Kelly the Coed series from Jim Powers and Heatwave continues to roll on, with each subsequent entry getting worse. The charm of the original has been completely tossed aside, as has actually shooting any footage at a campus at this point. Heatwave has also done a poor job with the release of the title. This is an easy movie to pass on.
