The second thing will be Katka (AKA Sarah/Sara Blue) posing for Pierre's camera. Review brief: Hard Currency Hustler Hard Currency seems to be a title chosen at random for this Patrick Handsome feature, consisting as it does of largely unrelated sex scenes seemingly visualised by JPX, presumably as an author tapping away at his laptop. Even this tiny synopsis fleshes out the anorexic plot (using the term extremely loosely here) beyond the movie's paltry effort. I really wonder why they bother.

Review brief: Christoph's Beautiful Girls 16 Evil Angel With scenes shot in sunny Amsterdam as well as some familiar spots in Prague and Budapest, Beautiful Girls is the flip side of Euro Domination, with a similar cast engaged in a much more colourful version of the usual unfeasibly rude action Christoph so cheekily pulls off time and time again. Sandra de Marco and Jessica Fiorentino Okay, this is the first and last time I comment on the subject in this particular review, that's a promise. Christoph shoots the tall and curvaceous blonde Sandra yet again. Does she just follow him around? Ironically it wasn't so long ago I was beginning to wonder what happened to Jessica.

It can be a little frustrating for those who like to see something a little kinky with their porn. Naturally I was interested to see that the inestimable Mr Clark offers us Euro Domination, with a promise of "heavy fetish" to go with the typical Christoph combination of beautiful girls and strong anal-oriented sex. The format is as usual - castings shot in a very basic way are followed by either on-set coverage of a shoot or a sex scene chosen to highlight the specific performer. Chanonne This tall, slender brunette sports a short cropped cut and has already done "kitsch" photos with Jean-Pierre Armand (the mind boggles) and some DP stills for a German photographer, so she's hardly coming to this as the much vaunted virgin. Review brief: Manipulation (Hustler) "Whatever happened to Private?" is an often-posed question, but I am more concerned in this review with a similar query about one of their former stalwarts. Since joining up with Larry Flynt at Hustler, my perception would be that increasing cynicism and decreasing quality have been the overriding features of Pierre's productions. Granted that for some viewers - and in some regards I am one of them - his style always was an acquired taste, it has still been disappointing to see his standards slipping and interest in his work waning. It used to be the case that the latest Woodman epic was the most anticipated porn release of the year.

Review brief: Theatre of Lust Pirate Fetish Machine / Private Maybe I was basing my expectations on unreliable evidence, but I was keen to see Theatre of Lust, if only to find out some more about this Italian female director I'd been hearing about. Susi Medusa Gottardi has already gained a name for shooting some kinky stuff so it's with some disappointment that I must report straight away that Theatre of Lust is yet another example - perhaps unsurprisingly given Private's track record and relatively mainstream market - of fetish style being used to flavour a rather generic porn flick instead of being the focus of the movie. Story Story is the first, and most likely largest, problem with Theatre of Lust.

Elen Saint & Yvonne The first scene has an odd little set up, introduced by Mr Smith, I believe (AKA Michael Chapman in Rocco's Fuckin' Funny), and located in the theatre or concert hall seen in various movies from Killer Pussy 15 to Private's Theatre of Lust - may well be the location for that Prague Erotic Show each Autumn.

It does say something for John's dedication as a filmmaker that he hangs around to catch events on tape instead of high tailing it like any sensible person would have done. Then again, John seems most concerned about his collection of porno mags going up in smoke, so that probably tells its own story.

It seems that director J.M. Ponce, with no pun intended, feels the need to bring such influences to bear on this pornographic movie. Brandon can look out for himself perfectly well without me stating a case for him. Besides, after watching this second edition of Spit Shined - where girls take on this subservient task - I'm not sure that any defence would be particularly robust. Let's examine the evidence. Nikita In the first of five sex scenes, Claudio Meloni and that anodyne Czech Neeo literally take pretty blonde shoeshine girl Nikita for a tumble. Review brief: 3 Black Dicks and A Spanish Chick 2 Evasive Angles I can't imagine what I was thinking, but at some stage I'm sure I reckoned TT Boy's forays into Brazil were worth checking out. And maybe at some point they are. Yet I found myself cringing typing the title of this movie, which isn't even accurate as the girls are all Brazilian, which makes Portugal, if anywhere, their most likely ancestral homeland. Doubtless I'm missing the point in my deliberately obtuse way. It's hard to miss the point of this movie, however, which sticks rigidly to the proclaimed formula. Each girl has three black men all to herself (and each girl looks oh so thrilled about it too, I must sarcastically add).

Review brief: Private Classics: Private Stories 2 Private After the relative disappointments of my first step in reacquainting myself with Private's magazine series Private Stories, I was keen to find out if my mixture of fond and less favourable memories of the 1995 originals were hopelessly unrealistic. The format is unchanged (though the scenes were originally interspersed with trailers and adverts): short, sharp sex scenes with quick set ups and fast paced sex. Hole In One The old golf course number provides ample scope for double entendre, as a lady golfer's wayward shot ends up in Mike Foster's lap, and his balls end up in her mouth.

And yet, here are girls who speak little or no Spanish and have barely been to Mexico, never mind Spain, declaring, in generic So Cal accents, themselves to be Spanish. I am puzzled. Pedantry aside, the theme might be Latin girls, but the reality is the same: basic porn in the usual hotel/motel/sex club sort of locations, whether the setting be Los Angeles or Rio de Janeiro, where the girls and the sex make or break the movie.
