Travel once more into the world of Woodman, and sample another
selection of castings and sex scenes to showcase girls from Hungary
to Mexico and Romania to France, each eager (some more than others)
to make their first steps in Pornland…

First up, an auburn haired Romanian lass with a broad, smiling face
and a cheerful demeanour who, while not especially attractive to
me, has enough charm to make a winning impression through an interview
that labours slightly under the weight of cumbersome translation.
She's slim and small busted and not fazed in the slightest by the
usual crude inquisition and dirty mags. The interview is followed
up by an unusually gritty looking scene shot in part from cocksman
Nick Lang's POV - mildly diverting at best, I suppose, but always
interesting to see how the girl looks so different when it's time
to get down to the old in-out.

Lou
Valmont
Buxom and busty French blonde Lou is a completely different proposition
- already well experienced in the ways of lurve and clearly clued
up on all the business entails. Consequently, there's little to
surprise but it's still an interesting conversation and quite instructive
to contrast her confident ways with the unassuming Eastern girls.
Yeah, I know this is the kind of cheap stereotyping that I love
to have a go at, but as she's just a little older and wiser, Lou
seems have a developed philosophy for which we rarely see an equivalent
in the girls of Budapest or Prague. A straightforward fuck scene
follows the interview with Lou in action with well-endowed and rugged
French stud Yannick Scott. I doubt if I'll ever be a big fan of
Lou but her big boobs and hefty bum are pleasing enough to view
and she's as into it as Woodman's direction - all director's instructions
are audible in this original sound version - will allow.

Karma
On the other hand, I must confess prior interest in the lovely busty
Karma as seen in a memorable edition of Euro Angels (15, as memory
serves), which I would suggest, is about the best thing she's done
that I've witnessed. She did adopt a harsher, Betty Page inspired
look later but here she's as fresh and unaffected as they come.
She's tall, dark haired, has great big natural boobs and luscious
pouting lips and really seems quite charming, though oddly not that
sexy…till she gets her kit off! To show how she adapted to life
as a Private model, there's coverage of a photo shoot at a sunny
spot on the Med, near a Marina. The glossy images are naturally
produced in a much more down-to-earth way, as after some anal action
there's a big old balls-up on the cum shot. Karma looks bemused
as stud JPX moans like some old drama queen. The travel and the
glamour come at a price.

Rita
Cardinale
Sparkly eyed Hungarian brunette Rita went on to be something of
a hit on the German scene, and this cheeky interview with Mr Woodman
hints at a little of the reason why. It's a great fallacy that people
love to repeat that Woodman is constantly asking the viewers to
swallow a fantasy of naïve virgins being corrupted into porn - the
fact is that a great number of these interviews feature girls who
know exactly what this is all about, and this is one of them. Rita
looks lovely and is clearly quite willing, as evidenced by the inclusion
of that "controversial" scene from the epic Tatiana, where Rita
plays a peasant girl inveigled into providing sexual favours to
wicked landowner David Perry's troopers. A big ol' gangbang ensues
with a fair old bit of double penetration and multiple cumshots.

Samsonite
I will refrain from boring you with pretentious literary allusions
about gestures and so forth, but there's just something so agonisingly
sexy, alluring and erotic about the way Livia, as she announces
herself, holds her head on one hand during this interview, her long
hair hanging down. She's a really great looking girl, even without
a scrap of makeup; with an elegant air about her and of course a
lovely curvy figure. Although she knows Wanda (Curtis, I guess?)
and therefore knows what Pierre is about, sexually she does seem
a little bit reserved and that does come across in her career where
she generally avoids anal sex. Naturally, that's where Pierre does
his bit and provides you with anal action in a scene from the cautionary
tale about sudden wealth, That's Life.

Diana
Diana is a lively brunette who provides much giggling with Pierre's
translator during this interview, which is generally good fun. She's
obviously up for it, yet again, and is pretty attractive though
rather thin. She enjoys one of the customary luxury beach scenes;
this time in the company of Alain Deloin, where their extended shagging
to the sound of crashing waves goes on into the dusk. Not bad, but
it does seem to go on…

Paola
A plain but pretty eighteen your old from Mexico, Paola is therefore
a little removed from the usual Woodman girl, but makes for a charming
interview subject. She has this cheeky smile that lights up the
screen often. She starts off shy but they coax out the information
from her - with two guys? I don't believe it - and sure enough we
see her in sex action with Pascal. As usual, Pierre's people have
made her up in their typical style, looking a little more glamorous
but loosing a little of her naïve appeal. She does look god with
her bronzed boobs bouncing as she bumps up and down on Pascal's
boner but otherwise it's slightly heartless fare. She takes it up
the bum and sucks off his spunky shaft quite nicely, though, so
mustn't grumble.

Adrienne
Sometimes one has to wonder if it's all worth the effort. It takes
no fewer than three interviews with Adrienne before Pierre finally
gets her into the sack. Having done that, it appears she made a
grand total of one other movie for Private, Superfuckers 4 to be
precise. With a really long mane of blonde hair, Adrienne is slim,
young and pretty, though her looks are slightly offbeat and don't
necessarily, in my view at least, merit the conceit she has about
herself. Maybe that's being unfair, I don't know, as she does strip
off quite happily and seems to have already had a reasonable amount
of sexual experience, though she doesn't seem too keen on much of
it! Not really a good basis for a career performing sex professionally.
She comes back for another interview where she ironically looks
much better but gets damn short shrift from Pierre, who seems to
have pegged her as a timewaster. But credit the girl with perseverance,
she's back but looking oddly blank - like those CD covers for Britney
or Jessica Simpson or Faith Hill where they all have that beautiful
but totally vacant look. Her blue eyes and button nose and tiny
pouting lips are almost too perfect. My god, she looks a hell of
a lot better when she finally cracks a smile.
Ultimately, such details are part of my interest in this but hardly
the point of the exercise, which is to test her readiness to do
the business in front of camera. With the translator gone, Pierre
relaxes her on the bed and then delves his face into her pussy.
She gives him a hand job and some surprisingly enthusiastic head
before Pierre sticks it to her in his inimitable fashion. Hmm, I
suspect I've used that phrase before, but anyway, if you've seen
this series before then you'll know exactly what I mean. If not,
think of a particularly horny bulldog going at it hammer and tongs,
but with less style.
Seriously, I often wonder why Pierre clearly likes to do it in a
lusty fashion yet has the studs in his movies performing, apparently
quite deliberately, without any passion, quite unlike the way Pierre
ensures Adrienne duly experiences anal the Woodman way. She's like
a little doll bouncing on his tool, battering into her rear till
evidently comes in her bum. They kiss after - the way Pierre can
be so tender with the girls is frequently surprising and often overlooked
by those who portray him as nothing but an opportunistic brute.
That's not true - he's only 99% brute…

Laretta
Laretta is a 22-year-old Russian blonde who works in a clothing
factory. While I know that the positioning of her scene, as the
last in the movie, indicates her as the one who never made it, there's
also just a hint about the whole affair that suggests she's just
not got it in her. Pierre's questioning seems to hint at a lack
of patience as well as his usual crude humour. He says she reminds
her of the chick that did that film…Striptease". He means Showgirls,
which kind of says it all.

Conclusion
In the end up, there's nothing special about Castings 29 that's
going to convert the sceptics, but if there's ever been a little
passion in your heart, or underpants, for Karma or Bolivia Samsonite,
for example, then you may find it interesting to see how they got
their start in the biz. The quality is often crude, the questioning
rude and the results debatable, but for me there's always something
entertaining and enlightening. It's equally the case that the underlying
issues are never broached but let's not pretend this is a John Pilger
exposé of third world exploitation. If you seek the truth about
this business, I'm not sure you'll find it, but for some intriguing
and often erotic insight into a particular part of the world of
porn, I'd say Castings 29 is well worth a peep.

Comments
As ever, the picture quality during interviews is generally of the
most basic standard, invariably statically shot from Pierre's POV,
though reasonably watchable. Sound is okay, with subtitles to assist,
and as expected from Private the overall packaging is of a standard
consistent with their usual quality.
