This is an above average release that doesn't seem to live up to its potential. The story is light, and at barely and hour and twenty minutes the entire movie seemed like it could have used a little more all around. There are some very nice performances from Stormy Daniels, Eric Masterson, and Kaylani Lei, but strangely Stormy and Eric turned out the weakest scene in the movie with barely any chemistry between them. The technical aspects show some nice care, including the special effects with a miniature Kaylani, and the extras showed a little effort as well. This isn't a bad movie, but it didn't come close to my expectations due to the players involved. [read the full review]

Ninas been around for quite a while, having begun her porn career back in 1984, and shes still going strong. Shes got 933 titles in her movie career (according to IAFD, although not all of them are sex scenes), so picking a best of must be quite a challenge. However, the earliest scene included on The Best of Nina Hartley only goes back to 1997, so theres about 13 years seriously unrepresented. While Ive enjoyed Nina over the years, I have a fondness for some of her early scenes and the earlier part of her career, and it would have been a more interesting compilation to me if scenes from these years were included, as well as a bit more interracial. That said, if you enjoy Nina more in her later career, youll probably enjoy this two disc set from Adam & Eve Pictures, which runs around 6 hours total. This is a very enjoyable little couples comedy with Stormy Daniels continuing to show that she's one of the best directors out there when it comes to couples comedies. Kaylani Lei does a great job leading the cast both acting and fucking, and is nicely joined by a cast that does just as well in their roles. Stormy does just as well in front of the camera with Brendon Miller as she does behind it, and Lexi Love and Monique Alexander also do great jobs. The technical aspects are pretty good, although the music is a bit overpowering and the video a touch soft, and sadly there isn't much effort put into the extras. The Watcher is a very good, plot-driven feature from Wicked Pictures and Brad Armstrong that features contract performer, Kirsten Price, in a story about an attorney (Brad) who loves to watch his wife (Kirsten) get it on in a variety of sexual situations with partners other than himself. While everything starts out hunky-dory, there is an abrupt (almost too much so) shift in the plot about midway through, and things ultimately get ugly. Regardless, the sex generally remains hot and varied throughout the film, and the settings, acting, and production values really stand out. Sex-wise, things get off to a quick start as Kirsten Price and Mick Blue are picked up mid-action in Scene One. The Vow by Barrett Blade and Wicked Pictures is a very good production that focuses on a gentleman (played by Eric Masterson) who is having severe trouble getting over his manipulative ex-girlfriend (played by Capri Cavalli). In trying to deal with his plight, Eric decides to abstain from any type of sexual activity for 40 full days. Finding out about this, his less-than-mature friend / room-mate (played by Nick Manning) and his co-workers find a way to create an internet betting scheme out of the whole thingwhich Capri, by the end of the movie, tries to sabotage personally. "Contract Star" is a very good (strong 4-star), 2004 comedy from Digitial Playground and Robby D that still holds up well by today's standards. It is super-sharp and brilliant, and takes full advantage of the incredibly beautiful backgrounds in Tahiti and Bora Bora. Of course, this is strictly couples fare with routine, non-edgy sex. The star is the Hi-Definition presentation and the incredibly gorgeous scenery. The Tera Patrick scene with Barrett Blade is not shot in HD, nor on an island, and it does not really belong in this movie.
