Sophia Illustrated Review

SOPHIA ILLUSTRATED (2008, Club Jenna) is a sort of magazine that comes to life via some animated effects with Sophia Rossi as the main character, a sort of "sex talk" columnist. She instructs and introduces 5 scenes, appears in a couple. Director Jim Enright handles the sex scenes in a solid fashion and the concept is fine but other problems surface and drop this HD shot DVD down a bit.

An animated sequence starts out the DVD as interior camera angles spin and turn and land upon a coffee table where a magazine opens up: cut to Sophia Rossi, who tells us a bit about what she does. Pages turn then Sophia instructs how to reach those feel-good zones of the male as Bebe Minx follows her voice-over instruction as she explores area of Jack Lawrence. After Bebe's tea bagging/licking of Jack's balls, Sophia announces that it "looks like we got his motor running."

Scene 1---Bebe Minx & Jack Lawrence

Bebe and Jack perform in a series of straight sex positions for about 8 or 9 minutes. Special page turning effects from one sex postion to the next take the places of cuts or dissolves. Bebe is a cute redhead with her hair up ininitally in hair sticks. She has small perky titties and a shaved pussy but way too much eye shadow and oversized eye lashes that accompany her cute nose and small mouth. She makes nice breathy sounds during her encounter with Jack plus background guitar music can be heard. A page turns then Bebe takes a facial. It's a solid, well-lit, short scene hampered by the strange make-up applied to Bebe's eyes---!! 1/2 outa !!!!!

At this point, the DVD cuts to some flashes of nightime poolside action with Sophia and two other female performers that appear later in this DVD but this particular scene never materializes on this DVD except for a few Behind the Scenes moments in the extras. Cut to Sophia instructing ladies to give your man a strip tease if things are getting a bit dull in the bedroom.

Scene 2---Sophia Rossi & Tommy Gunn

Sophia starts by doing her strip tease for Tommy. Sophia is a big blonde with massive tits. She wears big black boots, fish nets with openings for her boobs and pussy, plus a black garment stretches around her tummy with hand cuffs attached around it.
Sophia gets to cut loose plenty of "ah, fuck" screams plus bounce her boobs in a series of straight sex positions. The best bit is a few moments of 69 where she takes control of the titty fucking as she straddles ontop of Tommy's face. She also takes a Tommy facial that lands all over the left side of her face. It's a solid 16 or 17 minute scene from the star and DVD sleeve cover girl for this particular DVD---!!! outa !!!!!

Animated pages turn, stop then the camera zooms in on a photo that cuts to a shot of a stripper stripping for a gal and guy.
Cut to the gal in bed writing to Sophia, asking about a threesome, to which Sophia responds by saying go for it and have fun.

Scene 3---Faith Leon & Jassie & Alex Gonz

The gal (Faith Leon) enlist the stripper (Jassie) to join in a threesome with her and her guy. (Alex Gonz) Faith is a terrific, tall, pale woman with long legs, small boobs and and a cute face with blue eyes and thick, long dark hair. Jassie has short hair and and small tits but again, overkill on the eye shadow. Fingering action starts things off then the gals trade some straight sex positions with Alex on a bed. A bit too much blue light hampers the background of this scene that ends with both gals lying with their heads atop the bed to receive Alex's cumshot, but the best bit was Faith asking Alex "do you like that pussy?" while he mishes Jassie. A few problems with lighting and make-up hinder this otherwise solid threesome scene---!! outa !!!!!

Pages of the magazine turn then zoom into one of the pictures that cuts to two guys watching a ball game from a sofa. A girlfriend comes home from shopping and feels neglected. The oblivious dudes watch the game as Sophia pops up from behind the couch and offers up some advice to our poor mall rat. Sophia tells her to "give 'em the show that they want" then our shopper chick comes down the stairs in a sexy new outfit.

Scene 4---Riley Chase & Derrick Pierce

A page turns to some pussy munching as Eric attends to fucking Riley instead of watching the game. Riley is wearing a strange red choker plus her hair is this freaky long combination of blonde ontop of black hair, which is just too strange. Along with her big boobs, she sports a dangling heart/pearl belly button ring, a star tattoo nearby, and big red boots. Riley and Derrick conclude this 14 minute scene with some straight sex positions and a facial that lands in a glob on her right eye. Riley is a cute, cute girl that deserves better from the hair and make-up department in this okay scene, her first?---!! outa !!!!!

Scene 5---Sophia Rossi & Brooke Haven

The duo are in a bathroom setting where they engage in a trio of girl/girl fingering sessions. Like Riley, Brooke has similar blonde streaks in otherwise black hair that looks really awful plus Sophia has way too much eye shadow while they sit by the tub playing with each other's twats. Both have big boobs, if that's any consulation. This final sex scene is the weakest of the bunch and continued the downward spiral of the past three scenes---! outa !!!!!

A pic in the magazine of the lez scene turns into a camera pan down to another pic that we assume is another scene with Sophia and Eric Masterson but instead she gives the ol' "that's all folks" and the credits roll. So no scene with Eric; it's likely in some other movie.

Skimpy and lame best describe the Special Features, which include a 9 minute Behind the Scenes, a three minute photo gallery, and some Club Jenna trailers. Production dates for these special features are from May and June of 2008 and the feature itself is from December of 2006.

In the end, SOPHIA ILLUSTRATED is not much of page-turner as precious little of the best was saved for last. The gimmicky animated magazine stuff and page wipes from one sex position to the other worked well but the g/g scene at the end of this DVD appears tagged-on at the last second to get this feature to an 80 minute running time. It's too bad, because a solid scene with Sophia might have left a more pleasent after taste, so to speak. Final rating for SOPHIA ILLUSTRATED (2008, Club Jenaa) is !! outa !!!!!
