The Short Story

Initial Expectations: Robby D. normally makes hot movies and the Jack movies have been a lot of fun. I can't help but have some decent expectations here.

Initial Reaction: It's your typical Jack, which is far from a bad thing.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a light and fun fuck flick

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting anal, group, or all girl sex

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects show a lot of care. The audio is clear and well balanced, with the opening scene having some of the vocals a little out of balance. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks very nice. It's clear and nicely lit, and although you can tell that the movie was shot by hand it's very smooth.

Music: There's a little music for two of the solo segments, but that's it. When it's there, it's the only audio and it fits the segments extremely well.

Menus: The main menu combines a few stills of Audrey with a little minor animation for a decent first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number that doesn't match up to the actual chapter numbers in the movie. It also lets you know who the girl is in her first chapter for each scene.

The Feature

Jack's Playground sticks with a simple formula. Jack (Robby D.) is hustling girls who want to get into music videos, and wants to know how bad they want to get in. He mixes in a few little skits, and the girls will do anything from give a little show to give it all up.

Scene 1 Jesse Jane and Ben English

When Jack stops by Ben's to harass him about his new car, Ben lets him know that he has a new maid and soon after big tittied bottle blonde Jesse comes out in a sexy maid's outfit to tell Jack about how she lost a bet to Ben. Ben and Jack admire Jesse in her costume as she cleans house before she goers to work cleaning Ben's pipe and bending over at the waist like he's been instructing her to do with her cleaning. Ben moves around to admire Jesse from behind before fucking her standing up, and she works in a little more oral action for him while riding him in the cowgirls. They also get in a bit of midair missionary as well as some missionary for Jesse laying back on the couch before finishing things up with a respectable facial finish.

This is a fun opening scene. Jesse looks great in her maid outfit, and Robby and Ben have a lot of fun talking about it and leading into it. There's plenty of energy and chemistry to the fucking, and the scene moves along at a nice pace that's only hurt by a little rough editing. This is a hot scene that starts things out on the right track.

Scene 2 Kelsey Michaels and Chris Charming

Brunette Kelsey starts the second scene in a little pink top, sexy black heels, and a little black skirt dancing around seductively by a column in a house with a Pop-Up Video style feel with plenty of little details and jokes showing up through the opening until Chris knocks at the door causing Jack to kill the music and bringing things back to the typical Jack feel with the Pop-Up Video style continuing. It doesn't take long after they bring up the music video angle that Kelsey's mouthing Chris's manhood, and they move on with a cowgirl ride and some missionary fucking with Kelsey mixing in a little more cocksucking. They get in a little more cowgirl fucking before Kelsey comments on not being able to work the next day and then takes a facial finish.

The best part of this scene was the pop-up video opening. Kesley's cuts and knows how to work the tease, but when it comes to the sex she doesn't look that comfortable and gave a feeling that she might have been a bit of a pain in the ass to deal with. It's never good when directors make fun of performers in their scenes, and it came up a few times here with Kelsey. This scene hovered around the average mark.

Scene 3 Roxy DeVille and Eric Masterson

While on a beer run, Jack and Eric meet Roxy, in a chartreuse and black zebra print dress, in a parking lot inviting them to hear her band play. They talk it up a bit before Roxy hops in the car to come back with them, and then strips down to show a nice pair of pierced tits and a great ass. She gives Eric a lapdance before helping him out of his pants and into her mouth, and then gets up to ride him reverse cowgirl style. Roxy turns around for the traditional cowgirl ride before letting Eric fuck her doggie style. Finally she leans back and lets him stucco her chest.

This is a hot scene. Roxy looks darn hot, and her pierced tits only make her hotter. She puts out some nice personality through the scene and has nice chemistry with Eric. Robby has a pretty good mix of camera angles here and the scene flows well with a fun feeling. This is a pretty typical Jack scene, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Scene 4 Jelena Jensen

Hot brunette Jelena starts out the next scene telling Jack how she just did her first nude photo shoot and how great it was as she strips down to head to the shower. She continues to chat with Jack in the shower, and lotions up her tits talking about how it'd look titty fucking a guy as well as working herself over with the showerhead at Jack's suggestion. After Jelena finishes herself off, Jack lets her have a blast of cold water before running out.

This is a very nice solo scene. Jelena looks as good as ever, and she plays to Robby and his camera very well. The scene is nicely edited with a good flow, and best of all keeps the same fun feeling that always seems to come out when Jack is around. This is another nicely done scene.

Scene 5 Sue Diamond and Scott Nails

Jack bumps into Scott and his new girlfriend's older sister Sue, and chats with her as a ticker at the bottom of the scene runs off with a little information and a bit of humor. They make their way around the house and Jack gives her a tour before convincing her to show him her tits and to let him have a feel. When Scott catches them Jack convinces him to get it on with Sue even though she's his girlfriend's sister, and after they grope each other a bit Sue drops down to start sucking and stroking his cock. Scott tries to get her to stop, but can't resist her continual charms or her ass. Her fucks Sue missionary style before letting her get on top for a cowgirl ride. Sue also lies on her stomach for Scott to fuck her from behind before he busts a nut all over her ass.

This is a darn hot scene. Sue looks fantastic, and her body is spectacular. The girlfriend's sister aspect is played very nicely with Robby, Sue, and Scott all working it very well. It takes a bit of time to get going, but also works the tease very well to really let you appreciate how great Sue's body is. This is yet another hot and fun scene.

Scene 6 Valentina Vaughn

Brunette Valentina talks about wanting to do a music video before things cut to her showing off for the camera with music as the only audio. There's a few Pop-Up Video moments to start off her tease, but they then drop out to let Valentina show her goods. She strips as she goes, and the scene ends all too soon.

This is a darn hot tease scene. Valentina looks fantastic and I love the style of the scene. The style is very reminiscent of Celeste's older style, but the action moves at full speed rather than being slowed down. Being a fan of Celeste's older style this was kind of nice to see, and my only complaint here is that it didn't last longer. This is a very nice ending for the movie.

Jack's Playground 37 is a hot and fun release. The action is limited to vaginal and solo scenes, rather than bringing in some of the girl girl or anal scenes that sometimes pop up in Jack's movies, but it's all very easy on the eyes. Jelena and especially Valentina's solo scenes are easily two of the highlights here, and there's nothing wrong with Jesse Jane getting pounded in a sexy maid's outfit or Sue Diamond seducing her sister's boyfriend with the help of Jack. The closest thing to anything new is the Pop-Up Video blurbs and the ticker during Sue's scene, both of which are fun, but after over three dozen installments just in the original Jack's Playground series let along all of the spin-offs, I don't expect too much too new. Even though you know what's coming, the scenes don't get old, which probably says more than anything else about it, and the fun feeling that drives the movie never drops out. Jack's Playground 37 is another hot and fun installment in Digital Playground's main series.

The photo gallery can be viewed either manually or as a slide show lasting a little under four minutes with about five seconds per very nice looking snapshot. The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playgrounds bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. If you're a fan of Jack's Playground, this one is going to give you everything you've come to expect. The setups are fun, the girls are beautiful, and it seems like everybody's having a lot of fun throughout the movie. The technical aspects show the usual care one should have come to expect from Digital Playground by now, but sadly there's no real effort put into the extras. This is a hot and fun movie on a DVD that could have used a touch more effort.

Note to Digital Playground: A little effort towards the extras would be nice, especially when the movie is as short as this one.
