Initial Expectations: Stormy Daniels and Michael Raven always seem to turn out fantastic features. I can't help but have very high expectations for this one.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen, and looks nice right down to the special effects with a miniature Kaylani Lei. There's good care put into the lighting, including plenty of low light sex scenes, and the camera work is smooth.

Music: The music is normally well done. For the most part it's romantic, fun, and nicely balanced with the rest of the audio, but it does become the only audio for Stormy and Janet's lesbian scene.

Menus: The main menu nicely blends a little animation with the boxcover for a nice first impression. The chapter menu, as usual with Wicked, is lackluster, and just gives a clip of each scene with a chapter number.

The Feature

Eric and Stormy think life's going to be grand when they move from Boston out to the 'burbs. They quickly settle in to the more relaxed life, but things take a quick turn when Eric discovers garden fairy Kaylani in their back yard and they start to fall in love. Stormy knows something's going on, and can't figure out if it has to do with their hot neighbor Janet or something else...

Before all the boxes are close to being unpacked, Stormy decides that she and Eric should christen their new bedroom. The action cuts to them both completely naked as he eats her pussy before cutting to her sucking and stroking his cock. This is an above average scene, but not by much. Eric puts out some nice energy, but Stormy pretty much laid their in each position and seemed like she needed to play with her pussy more than anything. Stormy's normally more than just reliable when it comes to most anything she seems to do in front of or behind the camera, so this was more than a surprise to me. The scene was also held back a bit by the editing, as the choppy jumping between positions and even into the action to begin with did nothing for me and left me thinking that with a movie lasting roughly an hour and twenty minutes they could have added in another minute to this scene to let it flow much better. This scene might have made it past the average mark, but with the people involved here I expected much more.

After a slightly uncomfortable and overly happy dinner with Stormy and Eric, hot MILF redhead Janet and Marcus get it on in their back yard. This is a hot scene that nicely helps the movie rebound from the opening scene.

When Stormy takes Janet up on a hot tub offer, she instead decides to live out her fantasy of having sex with a woman she felt threatened by. They kiss in an outdoor shower while stripping each other down with Janet quickly going after Stormy's tits. Finally the scene ends feeling rather cut off as Stormy's fantasy ends with Janet returning from her phone call.

This is an above average scene. Janet and Stormy seem to be into each other pretty good, and the action between them is pretty well captured. At the same time, it just didn't seem to fit the feel of the rest of the movie. The music was the only audio and the video was slowed down slightly for a more artsy, cheesecakey feel. Throw in a chopped off feeling ending, and you have a scene that seemed to have plenty of potential but just couldn't harness it completely.

Rocco gets it on with brunette cutie Angelica in the back yard for the penultimate scene. They kiss on a blanket before Rocco moves down to kiss his way around her tits. At the same time, I was also a little tired of having every scene that's supposed to be between a romantic couple in a low light situation. This is a good scene with some nice things going for it, but at the same time it also felt a little generic.

When fairy Kaylani becomes human sized, it doesn't take much for her to convince Eric to try a little fairy sex in a hammock. This is a nicely done final scene.

Fairy Tale is a nice little romantic comedy that left me wanting a little more. Most of the cast gets a chance to go for a couple laughs, especially Eric as he comes under Kaylani's spell and Stormy as she tries to deal with it. The special effects with Kaylani as the garden fairy were also pretty well done, especially when one considers the average adult feature budget. The sex is hit or miss, with Stormy and Eric's scene surprisingly coming in as the weakest scene in the movie. At barely an hour and twenty minutes long the story seemed rushed and the sex often left me wanting another position or a little more of the existing positions. Although Stormy and Eric did a decent job in their roles, there never seemed to be that much chemistry between them when they were together which also held the movie back quite a bit. All that said, Fairy Tale isn't a bad movie, it's just one that almost constantly left me wanting more and never got enough momentum going for me to really get into it.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for Fairy Tale, Friends 4 Life, Hush, Dinner at Frankie's, The Gifted, Always and Forever, and The Wicked. The photo gallery lasts about two and three quarter minutes with about six seconds per nice looking snapshot. There's also a bonus scene, a behind the scenes featurette, promo material, and commercials.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about ten minutes. After a few flashes around the set, Michael Raven introduces the movie including the players and what it's about with a few flashes around the making of the movie mixed in. You also get a little of Michael and Kaylani working in front of the green screen and Stormy in her fairy costume. Eric gives a few words about the movie before getting it on with Kaylani for the movie followed by a few words with Angelica and some of her scene being shot. Janet talks a little between clips of her photo shoot and scene being shot, and even gives a nice bonus squirt that sadly didn't make the movie. This is an okay little behind the scenes featurette. There's nothing too deep or fun, and the biggest highlight of it seemed to be Janet's squirting. Much like the movie, the behind the scenes featurette couldn't quite meet my expectations.

The bonus scene comes from Whatever it Takes. Stormy and Brendon start out kissing passionately before he moves down to suck and play with her nice big boobies. This scene worked quite well for me.

Currently, many Wicked DVDs can be found online for between about $19 and $25 with most stores offering them somewhere in the middle. Rent this one before you pay the big bucks. I went into this one with fairly high expectations due to this being a Wicked movie involving Michael Raven, Stormy Daniels, and Kaylani Lei, and it didn't come close to meeting them. There are a few nice moments, but the movie seemed short and rushed, and almost constantly left me wanting more. The technical aspects are nicely done and there is a little effort put into the extras, but there was nothing that ever really drew me into the movie or the DVD. This isn't a bad release, but it also seemed like it should have been better in almost every way.

Note to Wicked Pictures: There's a nice idea here, but I'll chalk this one up to the wrong mood and high expectations.
