Vow, The (Wicked) Review

Kyle dreams about his ex-girlfriend Kari (a solid opening poolside straight sex romp side between Eric Masterson and Capri Cavelli---!!!) but the closing moments upset him. His roommate Bennie (Nick Manning) tries to convince Kyle that it's over between him and her. Kyle decides not to have sex for awhile and that's the set-up for THE VOW (2010, Wicked Pictures) that's directed by Barrett Blade in wide screen. Condoms used.

That night, the guys go out to a bar where Bennie takes a blonde out back (An okay sex scene with the thin blonde and Nick sucking and fucking on plaid material with a flashing light bouncing off the Exit door. This scene belongs in the Special Features for it does nothing for the comedic flow of this flick---!! 1/2)

Kyle takes the sister home and fakes a cumshot while fucking her doggy and she's pissed. Later, Kyle and his brother (Barret Blade) hang out on some swings, which is where Kyle vows to not have sex for the next 40 days.

He meets Haley (Alektra blue) at the dog park and the duo eventually strike up a friendship while Bennie starts up a website taking bets on what day Kyle cracks and finally fucks someone.

Meanwhile, Haley and her roommate (Kirsten Price) talk about Kyle in the bathroom then decide it's a good time to suck and finger each other. (In a white tub area, Alektra and Kirsten look great as the duo each sticks a finger or two up their own ass while their pussy gets a brief workout---!!!)

Days on the calendar are crossed off as Haley and Kyle become closer. They go out to the bar where Kyle gets unhinged when he spots Kari about to give a dude a blowjob in the bathroom. Kari and Haley find out about Kyle's wrapping up the 40 days without fucking and Kari shows up on the 39th night to try and trip him up so that she wins a huge payoff. Meanwhile, Haley wants to be there to fuck him after he finishes up the 40 days. (Eric Masterson and Alektra Blue wrap this DVD up with a typical sex scene in the same bedroom where Kyle had his opening dream---!!!)

Another solid poolside scene (!!!) with Alektra and Danny Mountain from ALEKTRA'S DIRTY MIND is the 14 minute bonus scene. 3 minute photo gallery. 6 trailers and the trailer for THE VOW and Wicked Promo reel round out the Special Features.

So, THE VOW (2010, Wicked Pictures) is solid little feature that does a pretty good job of mixing the sexual abstinence theme with sex scenes. Too bad Director Barrett Blade and writer Scott Fayner really miss an opportunity to make Kyle suffer more as his character could have easily hid in the bathroom stall to actually observe the blowjob and other sexual shenanigans between his ex and fuck buddy. His observing that encounter might have made his final confrontation with Kari all the more memorable.

Anyhoo, kudos to director of photography Nic Andrews for capturing the action in fine form, thus, helping THE VOW land a !!! outta !!!!!
