Vow, The (Wicked) Review

“The Vow” by Barrett Blade and Wicked Pictures is a very good production that focuses on a gentleman (played by Eric Masterson) who is having severe trouble getting over his manipulative ex-girlfriend (played by Capri Cavalli). In trying to deal with his plight, Eric decides to abstain from any type of sexual activity for 40 full days. Finding out about this, his less-than-mature friend / room-mate (played by Nick Manning) and his co-workers find a way to create an internet betting scheme out of the whole thing—which Capri, by the end of the movie, tries to sabotage personally. Fortunately, Eric meets Alektra Blue along the way, and true love ultimately triumphs. In a nutshell, this is the plot—which is actually fairly good and really makes for a fun watch. It also provides for decent setups of the various sexual encounters that take place. With that, let’s take a closer look at those encounters. You know—the “sexual” ones.

In Scene One, Capri Cavalli and Eric Masterson get it on in a dream that Eric is having. This one takes place by a pool, and the reverse-cowgirl action is fairly hot. A pop-shot to Capri’s breasts serves to finish off this good-to-very-good romp. Scene Two brings together Nick Manning and Rebecca Blue in the backroom of a bar. This excellent endeavor features some hot blowjob work by Rebecca, as well as some nice cowgirl, reverse-cowgirl, and missionary-like action as its highlights. Manning delivers a facial pop-shot—which is followed up by some oral cock clean-off—to close out the hot and sweaty festivities that make up this sequence. An excellent girl-girl tryst involving Alektra Blue and Kirsten Price in a bathtub is up next on the menu (Scene Three). The fingers and tongues fly in this one, and there is also some sexy rimming and anal-fingering of Alektra by Kirsten. Further, Kirsten anally fingers herself before all is said and done, as well—hot stuff and good chemistry here!

In Scene Four, it’s Capri Cavalli taking on her date, Tommy Gunn, in a restroom. Starting out right in front of Eric—who was using a stall at the time—this one is clearly done by Capri to inspire jealousy in poor Mr. Masterson. After he leaves, however, the festivities continue. The blowjob / hand-job work here is hot, as is the reverse-cowgirl action. A money-shot to Capri’s breasts by Tommy closes this very good segment out. The final sequence (Scene Five; very good) involves a celebratory fuck between Eric and Alektra—his new-found soul-mate. Taking place in his bedroom, the cowgirl and side-entry positionings are amongst the highlights here, as is the self-anal fingering that Alektra does. Eric ejaculates on Alektra’s face and mouth, which she then follows up with some oral cock clean-off, to bring this story of true love to its ultimate happy ending.

In terms of bonus materials and other options, there are two previews that play when the DVD is inserted, there is a selection that plays the preview for this production in the Main Menu, and there is a choice of six previews under the “Trailers” option in the “Special Features”—plenty o’ trailers, I say. Sadly, there is no BTS segment—which is an unfortunate omission. There is, however, a “Photo Gallery” that puts forth a slideshow of “pretty girl” shots and stills from the production, and there is also a “Promo Reel” that introduces the viewer to the Wicked contract performers. One finds phone sex ads and the like under “More Adult Fun”, and there is a “Bonus Sex Scene…” in the “Special Features”, as well. This is an Alektra Blue boy/girl encounter (from the production, “Alektra’s Dirty Mind”). This serves as a nice addition.

All in all, this production is very good, and it clocks in at about an hour-and-a-half. The plot, settings, and acting are all fun to watch, and it is nice to see that a company (Wicked) is still putting a lot of effort into its features, production-after-production. Other than a couple of spots in which the resolution didn’t come off as great as it could have when being played on my laptop, the production values are generally good, as well. I would recommend this title to couples, fans of Wicked, fans of Alektra, and those who are interested in porn with something of a plot.
