Initial Expectations: I’ve heard some very good things about this one. I’m goign in with pretty high expectations.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is clear and well balanced in the non-sex scenes. In the sex scenes it’s heavily dominated by the music, but you can often hear the performers as well. The video is very well done. To start with, it’s presented in anamorphic widescreen and was shot in HD. There’s barely any grain, and the entire movie is extremely well lit. This is a very nice looking and sounding movie.

Music: The music has a very fun Latino feel that works great for the movie. It’s nicely unique, but unfortunately it’s often the only audio in the scenes.

Menus: The main menu is nicely done. It has a nice lead-in, some great style, and definitely gives a good first impression. Unfortunately, that impression doesn’t extend to the chapter menu, which is completely generic and just lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

When the company they work for sets out to find their new contract star due to their big star Sarah St. Patrick leaving to go to a ripoff company, Mexicanos Eric Masterson and Evan Stone set out to find her and score a major bonus. They start out with Eric’s girl Jesse, but when problems arise there Eric sets out in to try to bring Teagan in to save them both.

Scene 1 - Jesse Jane and Evan Stone

Evan starts things out getting himself a little makeup sex after suggesting to his girlfriend Jesse that she should try to be the next contract star. Evan spanks Jesse’s sweet ass and pussy before tonguing it while she pussy his hair and sucks his fingers. Right from the start things is one of the best scenes I’ve watched from Jesse Jane. She and Evan and passionate and energetic, and it feels like they’re cutting loose with some playful yet intense sex that’s much harder than most people normally expect from a “couples studio” like Digital Playground. Jesse is a girl who hasn’t done much for me in the past, but I was amazed at how hot this scene was and really impressed with her. She and Evan have some smoking hot chemistry and they aren’t afraid to cut loose. This is a great scene to start things out with, and it’s easily my favorite scene in the movie.

Scene 2 - Jenaveve Jolie and Eric Masterson

When he heads to the strip club to continue his search, Eric gets a lap dance from Jenaveve. He questions her about her wanting to make a lot more money, and mere moments later she’s taking as much of his cock into her mouth as she can. She moves up to ride Eric in the cowgirls before letting him spoon her, and finishes things up stroking him onto his stomach.

This is a pretty good scene. Jenaveve looks great and puts some nice energy into the scene, but it didn’t quite work for me. I think the biggest problem is that it follows Evan and Jesse’s scene so closely and has such a different style. It doesn’t have nearly the intensity of the previous scene and Eric pretty much just lays there the entire time rather than getting into it like Evan did. This is a slightly above average scene.

Scene 3 - Jesse Jane and Tommy Gunn

Jesse’s “first” porn casting couch audition with Tommy starts out with her mouthing his manhood. She starts off softly sucking it before taking Tommy into her throat and letting him fuck her missionary style on his desk. Once again, Jesse Jane shoots and scores. She looks to be really into the sex and puts out plenty of energy and what looks to be some nice vocals (sadly, you can barely hear any of them). I love how she takes the facial at the end, complete with the dirty talk and intense eyes. This is another very hot scene.

Scene 4 - Teagan and Eric Masterson

After talking to her about being the next contract girl, Eric decides to take Teagan and her big hair for a spin. Eric starts out worshiping Teagan’s heavenly ass, eating her holes, and playing with her pussy before she rewards him with a bit of knob gobbling. Teagan slides her bald beaver over Eric’s bone in reverse cowgirl to start things out before turning around to continue her cowgirl ride the old fashioned way. This is a pretty hot scene. Teagan looks as great as ever and puts some nice energy into the scene. Eric does a passable job and looks better here than previously, but still falls short compared to Evan and Tommy. This is a good scene, but far from great.

Scene 5 - Jesse Jane and Teagan

Jesse Jane and Teagan share their first scene together as Evan and Eric watch and try to figure out which one of them became the contract girl. Not surprisingly, Jesse takes charge and goes after Teagan’s tits before bending her over, admiring her legs, and giving her ass a little attention from the palm of her hand. After they work their mouths around each other a little, Jesse breaks out a large red glass dildo. She lets Teagan suck it before sliding it into Teagan’s twat and then climbs on the desk so Teagan can fuck her with it. After Jesse acts like she had a strong orgasm, the guys turn off the TV to end the scene.

This is a pretty hot scene. The girls don’t lord over each other and keep the action nicely balanced between each other. I would have liked a little less toy usage here, but at the same time the scene is to be somewhat making fun of the generic porn scenes that so many companies push out like the aftermath of an extra greasy burrito. This is a pretty hot scene, but it doesn’t get close to the potential the girls have.

Contract Star is a lot of fun. Right from the start you can tell that it’s out to have fun, with an entire cast of white people play Mexicans in the ghetto along with plenty of jokes about the adult industry. Eric and Evan are both fantastic in their roles, and they’re nicely backed up by the girls with Jesse doing just as good of a job. Sexually, Jesse and Evan lead the way in the movie. Their opening scene is probably the best scene I’ve ever watched from Digital Playground, which definitely starts the movie on a high note but it also leaves the rest of the movie to lag behind a little. Thankfully Jesse’s scene with Tommy and Teagan are also nice and hot. Surprisingly, my biggest problem with the movie was Eric Masterson. He normally does a great job both sexually and in the non-sex scenes, but here he really lagged behind sexually. He often seemed like he was trying to fade out of the scene, and although I can appreciate that some people really don’t want to see the guys, if he’s going to be seen he might as well look like he’s into the scene. Contract Star has a few faults, but it’s still an extremely enjoyable adult comedy.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for almost all of Digital Playground’s recent major releases. The photo gallery lasts about four minutes with about six seconds per very nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. Bios are included for Jesse Jane, Teagan, and Robby D., each of which give a photo and some nice personal information. Finally, there’s weblinks and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts nearly eighteen minutes. Unlike most behind the scenes featurettes, you don’t get to see a lot of the scenes being shot. Instead there’s a lot of the cast prepping for their scenes and screwing off between shoots. With both Evan Stone and Eric Masterson it should be no surprise that there’s plenty of humor throughout the featurette, and Robby D. almost always makes things a little more interesting. Jesse Jane also adds quite a bit of fun to the featurette, and I think my only complaint about it is that Robby D. is a little too obsessed with fart noises when people bend over. I really hope to be able to make it through one of his behind the scenes featurettes without the fart segment some day. Overall, though, this is a fun behind the scenes featurette that’s well worth checking out for a few more chuckles.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Digital Playground DVDs can be found online for between about $12 and $28 with many stores offering them for around $20. This one’s worth the money. The movie has plenty of silly laughs and there’s some hot sex to go with it. The technical aspects are very well done and there’s even some nice effort put into the extras. This is a nicely put together DVD.
