Randy Spears takes a look at sex in the suburbs with five scenes. Each one has a nice little lead-in to set things up, but they never waste too much time. Mikayla's scene might be the best here, and cover girl Hannah Harper splits a very nice scene with Trina Michaels even though it doesn't even last ten minutes. The scenes often feel a bit limited, no doubt due to five scenes barely taking an hour and a quarter, but also work due to some nice chemistry. The technical aspects are nicely done and there's also some nice effort put into the extras. This release could have easily been lengthened out, but it's still enjoyable as it is. So goes the theme for this release, which builds some good darkness and intensity into the sex but doesn't confuse it with nastiness. There's a slight feeling of alt-porn here due to the apocalyptic feeling of the movie that comes across as a bit more unique due to some nicely handled editing. Unfortunately the lighting is a bit low leaving lots of shadows and the camera work sometimes falls a little shy. Stormy Daniels goes behind the camera again, this time with an all girl horror movie about a woman (herself) who preys on other women sexually. The mood is nicely intense throughout the movie while never getting in the way of the sex, and the sex has a very nice variety. The technical aspects aren't crystal clear, but they are very well done approximating the look of many of the current suspense and horror movies of recent times along with giving an anamorphic widescreen transfer. There's also some very nice attention put into the extras to help round out the DVD. This is a much more intense and gutsy release than I expected, and I really hope Wicked continues to give Stormy Daniels (and their other directors, of course) the freedom to make more movies like it.
