Review brief: Sunrise (a.k.a. Private Tropical 2) is a film directed by an Italian, featuring talent from the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Australia, shot on location in Cannes, France, and Santo Domingo in the Caribbean Islands. And it proves, if nothing else, that sex has no national boundaries. Sunrise is, I suppose, a couples film. That is, it has a plot, takes a more romantic approach to lovemaking (in setting if not always in mood), and focuses almost exclusively on the male/female bond. The story involves an island in the Caribbean that two rival development companies wish to purchase for its potentially lucrative possibilities as a tourist resort. Caught in the middle are Suzy and Jamie, two co-workers who end up on opposite sides in this battle for the beaches. The film is offered in several different languages with at least four subtitle options. What isnt clear is whether the actors are speaking a common tongue. Indeed, I rather doubt it.

Review brief: Length: 84 minutes Year: 1980 The Budding of Brie starring Hillary Summers revolves around the story of her and how she screws her way to the top in Hollywood and becomes a big star. This is a very classy looking film and looks like it had a very high budget. One thing I didn't like about the sex scenes was the excessive talking during them especially because they only had rather stupid things to say to each other. If they had had sexy things to say then it would have been ok but as it was this did not help the film. The video quality of this film is great as is the audio quality of this dvd. VCA has done a great job. I have bought a few VCA dvd's and have been impressed with all of them in terms of audio and video quality. There is a commentary track included with Jim Holliday and Shayla LaVeaux although this is not as informative as on some of the other classic VCA dvd's as neither of them was involved with the making of this film.

Review brief: Expectations While this is not a Michael Ninn picture per se, it is billed as being directed by Ninn protege Laurent Sky. I expect it to be very Ninn-ish. The cool thing about this release is that it is a 2 disc set with disc 1 labeled as "Artcore" and disc 2 labeled as "Hardcore". I'm looking forward to seeing the difference as I think the "Hardcore" may be more to my liking. Capsule Review This is a good release. It is extremely Ninn-ish and I'm pretty much at a loss to see the Laurent Sky original elements here. This is one of the dark style Ninn features (think Latex or Shock). Lots of industrial equipment and grunge abounds everywhere. But there is no psycho plot to accompany the whole thing, rather it is pretty much incidental video. The girls look great and the care inherent in this release is obvious. As for the Artcore/Hardcore thing, it is not nearly as radical a difference as I had hoped. The Artcore disc is typical Ninn. The Hardcore disc is mostly the same without the overwhleming pulse of the music and with a little less video editing.

Review brief: Here we have a Mike John directed flick and anyone who has seen his films knows what to expect. Review brief: Deep Throat is perhaps the most famous porn film of all time. It is certainly a good movie, but certainly not one of the best. It isn't in the same class as films such as The Opening of Misty Beethoven or The Devil In Miss Jones. I found the soundtrack to the movie, which was original music, to be quite fitting and to give the movie a nice feeling. The title track especially is a catchy tune, "don't row a boat, don't get your goat, that's all she wrote, deep throat" it does stick in your head. The plot to the movie what there is of one is that Linda Lovelace isn't enjoying sex as much as she'd like, so she and her friend throw an orgy, this doesn't get Linda's bell's ringing though so Linda's friend talks Linda into seeing a Doctor played by Harry Reems. He discovers that her clitoris is in her throat, and encourages her to learn the art of deep throat starting right there with him. This really gets her bells ringing.

Considering the high praise this company has been getting and my fondness for Asian women I have high hopes, despite DVSX being the new kid on the block. There are a lot of things I liked about this DVD. For starters Alex Ladd seems to do a fine job of capturing the action in just about every scene as the image quality and production values were better than I was expecting. Generally I stay away from porn that is as plot driven as "Rush", but it has been a while since I've seen Devon so here we are. As far as couple friendly features go this one is pretty good, and it has a few things going for it. Mainly Devon! I have to say it is refreshing to see a movie where the girl on the boxcover really does star in the movie. Devon is in 3 of the 5 sex scenes. Avy Scott and Jezebelle Bond pair up for a girl/girl scene, and the stunning Alexa rounds out the female cast. This is a very good looking DVD through and through. The ratio is widescreen, which I am very happy to see more companies embracing. Review brief: Expectations While this is not a Michael Ninn picture per se, it is billed as being directed by Ninn protege Laurent Sky. I expect it to be very Ninn-ish. The cool thing about this release is that it is a 2 disc set with disc 1 labeled as "Artcore" and disc 2 labeled as "Hardcore". I'm looking forward to seeing the difference as I think the "Hardcore" may be more to my liking. Capsule Review This is a good release. It is extremely Ninn-ish and I'm pretty much at a loss to see the Laurent Sky original elements here. This is one of the dark style Ninn features (think Latex or Shock). Lots of industrial equipment and grunge abounds everywhere. But there is no psycho plot to accompany the whole thing, rather it is pretty much incidental video. The girls look great and the care inherent in this release is obvious. As for the Artcore/Hardcore thing, it is not nearly as radical a difference as I had hoped. The Artcore disc is typical Ninn. The Hardcore disc is mostly the same without the overwhleming pulse of the music and with a little less video editing.

Review brief: Sakura Tales Directed by Alex Ladd Overall Impression This is my first look at a DVSX disc. Considering the high praise this company has been getting and my fondness for Asian women I have high hopes, despite DVSX being the new kid on the block. There are a lot of things I liked about this DVD. For starters Alex Ladd seems to do a fine job of capturing the action in just about every scene as the image quality and production values were better than I was expecting. Essentially What I'm getting at is that this disc is basically quality gonzo porn, plain and simple. Personally I loved half the scenes, and just was not that into the other half. Why? Casting! I was very impressed with covergirl Mika Tan, as well as Kianna Dior and SinNye Lang. Personally the rest just didn't really do it for me. Plot Ok obviously there is no plot to speak of, but this Asian themed series does have an interesting set up for each scene. Each scene starts of with the lady recounting a memorable past sexual experience or sexual fantasy.

Review brief: Rush Directed by Nic Andrews Overall Impression This is the first Digital Playground film I have taken a chance on since being disappointed by "Island Fever". Generally I stay away from porn that is as plot driven as "Rush", but it has been a while since I've seen Devon so here we are. As far as couple friendly features go this one is pretty good, and it has a few things going for it. Mainly Devon! I have to say it is refreshing to see a movie where the girl on the boxcover really does star in the movie. Devon is in 3 of the 5 sex scenes. Avy Scott and Jezebelle Bond pair up for a girl/girl scene, and the stunning Alexa rounds out the female cast. This is a very good looking DVD through and through. The ratio is widescreen, which I am very happy to see more companies embracing. The picture quality is truly outstanding, which only enhances this extremely slick and professional looking pornographic production. I do have some complaints however.

She wants money and power. So in order for her to be able to leave her husband for her rich boyfriend (Brad Armstrong) she has her secretary (April) seduce him. In the end she realizes that her boyfriend is a dick (because he dumps her) and runs back to her husband. Don't ask me I am just telling you the plot. Comments: The menu's are really amusing and set the tone for what is going to be a cute little movie. There are some small audio problems at the end of the first sex scene when Randy Spears starts his voice over due to the music being too loud but it doesn't last long. The only other technical problem I saw was a glitch that caused the picture to freeze at the 1:44:50 mark for about a second or two but then the movie continued on.
