Overall Impression
Much like my good friend aybesea I had high hopes for this one. I totally share aybesea's perspective on Kovi's mishandling of Private's Pirate line. Once upon a time the Pirate Video Deluxe flicks from Tanya Hyde and Frank Thring made it my favorite series. Unfortunately Kovi seriously dropped the ball in my opinion. It's not that he is untalented, because he has made many fine movies for Private's other lines like the Black Label line, but rather he never captured the edge or kink factor that made the previous Pirate titles so exiting. So needless to say I was very curious to see what this unknown female director was going to bring to the table. Judging from the boxcover pics alone I liked where she seemed to be going.

This movie is certainly a step in the right direction for the Pirate line, but not quite in sync with the level of quality achieved by Thring and especially Hyde. However Susi Medusa does show some very real promise in her Pirate debut. First and foremost I felt a return to the Pirate aesthetic that I have come to love. This film felt like it had an Italian biker fetish going on. All the leather and sunglasses worked for me. Also there is a definite emphasis on anal sex, as well as a healthy bit of kink. Susi also shows a strong sense of composition at times, giving us some great perspectives to enjoy the action from.

Plot

"The disputes over the power and control of the magic contained in an ancient parchment lead to the hottest and most depraved carnal encounters between wizards, maidens and hired assassins. The yearning for possession reflects, quite surprisingly, the over-indulgence with which these girls surrender to satisfying their darkest and most diabolic sexual desires."

Scene 1 Sandy Style
After a brief little dance number this foursome gets down to business in a hurry. I've got to give the director some credit here because the odds of me enjoying a 3on1 scene are pretty low to begin with, but Medusa pulls the scene off with some great camera work, plenty of anal action, and a strong performance from Sandy. She really does an admirable job of keeping her three swordsmen occupied with plenty of BJ, ATM, DP, and airtight action. We are even treated to three facials to end the scene off in style.

Scene 2 Krystal De Boor
This scene starts off with some boot licking, leather licking, finger licking, and sure enough some dick licking. Actually De Boor treats us to some pretty good oral action that includes some good old fashion cock sucking, as well as some nice ball sucking. Eventually they move on to some spoon action ending with some anal action and a facial pop shot. A little on the brief side as far as the penetration footage, but fairly hot nonetheless.

Scene 3 Jessica Fiorentino
This is a solid little anal scene. Fiorentino looks good here as she handles her partners nicely. Some anal and DP action and a dual facial round out this scene.

Scene 4 Lucy Lee & Tina
This one starts off with some cigarette smoking stuff that really did nothing for me. Tina keeps taking drags from her smoke and exhaling in the general direction of Lee's pussy, while in-between drags, Lee sticks her fingers in Tina's mouth only to finger herself with tobacco flavored saliva on her hand. I'm not sure exactly what the Surgeon General would have to say about that, but hey to each his own I guess. Next there is a much more appealing display with tobacco as Tina sucks on her studs cigar as foreplay to a soon to follow BJ. Of course he smokes his cigar as these two ladies deliver some oral entertainment. Next up is Lee getting double teamed by a strap-on wielding tina and our cigar smoking friend. Some nice action here. Afterwards they each get their own turns getting it in the ass from cigar boy while the other indulges in some ATM. Neither of these girls drove me crazy in the looks department, nor did the whole cigarette thing, but it is an entertaining scene anyway.

Scene 5 Sandy Style
Sandy engages in some nice little bit of tongue play. Sandy looks good here with her trendy glasses and outfit. They skip the vaginal intercourse and go directly into some decent anal action. The scene comes to an unusual slowdown as Style hands out some punishment. Her man receives some ass slappin' and licking before an eventual facial pop shot. Not a bad scene , but it should have been a lot better.

Scene 6 Jessica Fiorentino
I have only seen Fiorentino in a couple of films, but this is certainly the best scene I've watched of hers. I'm not sure why I like it but the whole colored glasses thing works for me, as well as the biker gloves and orgy of leather. Jessica gives a sloppy and wet hummer, before they go right into some quality ass humping. A solid solid performance.

Final Thoughts
A fine debut effort! Susi Medusa does a lot of things right, but there are some things that I felt should have been better. For starters the cast. Not to knock the cast because it is a good cast, but Pirate casts used to blow my mind. Look back at some of the cast lists, many read like a euro pornstar hall of fame. Although I was very impressed at times, the overall production values could use some improvement. Its great to see Private giving someone else the reigns to the Pirate line. Let's hope it can be brought back to its former glory. I am looking forward to her next effort.
