The sex is nicely consistent with plenty of chemistry, and I'd really have a hard time trying to pick a favorite scene from it. The technical aspects show some nice care, and although there is a bonus scene in the extras they come off a bit disappointing due to not doing anything with the potential that could have been had with behind the scenes in a movie like this. Originally I thought this was a feature, but it's really five scenes linked by the thread of a radio talk show host (Devon Michaels) taking calls and telling stories. I never really understood the need to link these things--either you need a full-blown plot or just give me a compilation. But whatever. The acting sucks, so there's not really much left except the sex. Five scenes, three are boy/girl, two are two guys and one girl. Devon is featured in one of each. In scene one a cowboy train robber (!) boffs the one passenger in the car, Anna Mills. Scene two has Devon stopping off in the middle of nowhere to relieve herself, and get porked by a farm hand on the trunk of her car. Scene three has a girl getting it from two service men. Scene four has something to do with a haunted house, and scene five is Devon taking on two guys in the radio station studio. The best thing about this movie is it's own preview, which is tightly edited, funny, and very entertaining. The movie itself is not so great. This was an attempt to parody the 1940's private detective genre, the type of Sam Spade/Phillip Marlowe roles that Bogart played. I'm a fan of Jace Rocker comedies, but this one fell flat. It simply wasn't funny, even where it could have been. It is supposed to be set in New York City, the "Big Apple" but, last time I checked, they don't have many palm trees in New York, nor a lot of pools in the back yards. The end credits state that it was shot "on location in Southern California" but that was a) not where the movie is set (in other words, not the location), and b) painfully obvious throughout. The sets are cheesy and cheap looking. A better approach would have been to use actual footage from old 1930s and 1940s movies for all of the exterior shots, per Steve Martin's "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" (although that would probably have caused too many copyright problems). Despite the presence of the always wonderful Asia Carrera, the sex was pretty much by the numbers. [read the full review]
