Synopsis:
A mountain in the Ozarks is chock full of uranium, which the U.S. government desperately wants. The problem is a family of Hillbilly rebels (Jonathan Morgan, Serenity and Alexandra Silk) have claimed the mountain as theirs and are in the middle of an age old land dispute with another family (Steve Hatcher, Cinderella, Alex Sanders, and Mitchell Gant). The government sends Lt. Leadbedder (Peter North), who is related to the rebels, to get them to lease their land to the government.

Audio/Video:
Hillbilly Honeys is presented with what appears to be it's original English 2.0 Stereo track, which still sounds good. It is also presented with a remastered English 2.0 Dolby Pro Logic Surround track, which sounds decent, but may not end up being the preferred track. On the Surround track, the audio isn't as well balanced and the music is much louder. The dialog can be heard at all times on both tracks, just not quite as easily on the Surround track. Wicked has also included dubbed Spanish 2.0 Stereo and French 2.0 Stereo tracks on the disc but hasn't included any subtitle options.

Hillbilly Honeys is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. The film isn't in the same shape as their current releases and is showing it's age. It also appears to have come from a video master due to the problems it's showing. There are glitches throughout the entire film, none that are really bad though and each occurrence doesn't last long. Other than the glitches the film is in good shape and the color levels are correctly set.

Special Features:
Although this is an older title from Wicked, they have still managed to assemble some extras for it. There is a blooper reel, with five-and-a-half minutes of flubs and fuck-ups. There are several photo galleries included on the disc. There is the movie gallery that contains 32 stills for the production, Serenity and Stacy Valentine on a track. There is a gallery for Serenity with 20 stills on a track, a gallery for Stacy Valentine, with 16 stills on a track all apparently repeated from the movie gallery and a gallery for Cinderella with 13 stills on a track. There are bios, which include text information, a Wicked filmography, pictures and a link to the performer's scene, for Serenity, Stacy Valentine, Cinderella, and Alex Sanders. Wicked has also included their promotional material from adult conventions from 1998 through 2001. There are also trailers on the disc for Flashpoint, Conquest, Satyr, Indigo Delta, Heartache, Knockout, Double Feature, and Katja Kean's Sports Spectacular.

DVD-ROM Special Features:
Wicked has included their standard DVD-ROM extras on the disc. There is the Wicked Web, which is a gateway link to Wicked's website, which also includes links to the company profile and Wicked Awards — Winners and Nominations, which are now stored on Wicked's website instead of on the disc. Also included is the Wicked Casino, which is a free casino program that you have to install on your computer that allows you to play casino style games online against opponents for Wicked Cash or just by yourself for fun. The available casino games are Black Jack, Roulette, Baccarat, Slots, and Poker.

Disc Design/Navigation:
The disc is designed with fun and simple animated menus with background honky tonk style music. There are five chapters available from the main menu and 12 chapter stops within the feature film itself. The chapters on the chapter menu are identified by a video clip from where the chapter goes to. There is a time code for the feature film encoded on the disc.

General Review:
Hillbilly Honeys is an older plot-based film from Wicked Pictures. The plot is silly and pointless, but it makes for a very fun film. Some viewers may find the stereotypical hillbilly portrayal offensive, but as long as you remember that the film is tongue and cheek you should be alright. I do think the story misses out on some great opportunities though. For instance, there is an excellent build up towards what could have been a good incest scene between Peter North's character and Serenity and Alexandra Silk's characters that would have spiced the story and film up a little.

Part of the reason that the film ends up working is because it never takes itself seriously. The acting is bad in some places, but at least everyone is trying. There are varying accents used, some of which sound decent and others which sound completely out of place. There are some fun costumes used in the film. Especially on the females, who are mostly clad in little short bottoms and half-shirts which look incredibly sexy. There are some areas that need work though as Steve Hatcher and Jonathan Morgan's beards looked horrible. On the more positive side, Jonathan Morgan's over-the-top acting is hysterical.

The cast looks good and gives some great, albeit tame, sexual performances. Some of the scenes are a little on the formulaic side, but not all of them. The sex presented here is perfectly acceptable for couples audiences and viewers who don't like nasty or rough sex. There are two instances of anal sex in the film but on of them is incredibly short and not very graphic. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal and anal sex with blow jobs, pussy eating (male to female and female to female), and lesbianism. For viewers that care about condom use, there are no condoms used in the film.

This cheesy and fun film utilizes simple but effective indoor sets and some great outdoor locations. The indoor sets in the beginning of the film are done in standard adult feature film style, meaning they are shot in a brightly colored room and the necessary objects to make the scene look convincing are present. The sets later in the film are much better though as the sets look like they were designed just for this film and fit the film perfectly. The music used in the film is great and keeps the viewer in an upbeat mood.

Wicked normally does a stand-out job with their discs but they slipped a little when making this one. The box advertises a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track which doesn't appear to be present on the disc. Also, one of the photo galleries appears to be nothing more than a repeat of the beginning of another photo gallery located on the disc. I hope that these issues are a single slip up and not a sign that Wicked's quality control is going down.

Scene Synopsis:
In the first scene Stacy Valentine and Peter North pair up and start off with some pussy eating. Then they switch over to a blow job before going into some vaginal sex. The scene ends with a facial. In the second scene Cinderella and Steve Hatcher pair up and start off with some pussy eating. Then they go into the blow job before going into the vaginal sex. Then they go into some anal sex and end the scene with an attempt at a facial.

The third scene features Alexandra Silk, Alex Sanders, and Mitchell Gant. The scene starts out with Mitchell Gant eating Alexandra's pussy while she gives Alex Sanders a blow job. Then they switch to Mitchell getting blown and Alex getting some vaginal sex. Then the scene switches over so Alex is getting the blow job and Mitchell is getting some vaginal sex. The scene ends with Alex giving Alexandra a facial and then Mitchell dribbling it on her face.

The fourth scene is an all girl scene with Cinderella and Serenity. The scene starts out with Cinderella eating out Serenity and then they switch so that Serenity is eating out Cinderella. The fifth and final scene features Tatiana and Peter North and starts out with Peter getting a blow job. Then they go into some vaginal sex followed by some anal sex. The scene ends with Peter cumming on Tatiana's legs.

Parting Thoughts:
Hillbilly Honeys isn't a great film on any scale, but it is an incredibly fun film to watch. Some viewers may be offended by the depiction of hillbillies in the film and the film misses some opportunities to visit a more taboo side but since the film never takes itself too seriously it ends up making for a good watch when you are in the mood for a light hearted film with tamer sex. Viewers who like nastier sex or dislike a plot in their porn will want to skip this title. Couples viewers looking for some light fare should enjoy this entry though as well as viewers who like to be entertained by more than just sex in an adult film.
