Synopsis:
Jonathan Morgan's grandfather dies and leaves him a sizeable inheritance and a time machine. While doing the nasty, Morgan and Serenity accidentally activate the time machine sending them back to 1882 in the old west. The directions on how to operate the time machine gets left in the present and in an effort to get back to their own time, Morgan and Serenity end up galavanting through time.

Video/Audio:
The Time Machine is presented in the full frame aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. The print is crisp and clear with no artifacts or blemishes present. The color levels are set perfectly.

The available audio tracks are a 2.0 English stereo track and a 2.0 English Commentary track. The stereo track is good, the dialog appears to be in mono with only the music being in stereo. The music never interferes with the dialog throughout the film. There are no other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are six chapters available from the main menu for The Time Machine, which allow for minimal navigation through the film. About twice that number would be far more decent. There is a time code for this film, so time searching is also available.

Special Features:
There are many extras available for The Time Machine, but few have to do with the feature film. First up, and the best feature by far is the Commentary track with Jace Rocker and Serenity. Unfortunately Jace's voice is much lower than Serenity's, but he offers some insightful info into the making of the film as does Serenity. The commentary track is great to listen to after watching the film. The commentary tracks are a nice addition to a disc and I wish more studios included them on theirs. The audio bios feature a video clip, pictures, text info, audio info and a Wicked filmography for Serenity, Tatianna, Tracy Love, Ruby, Jonathan Morgan, and Peter North. Promotional Materials features the 1998 to 2000 and Essential Elements promo reels. The Photo Gallery consists of 29 photos from the film. The company profile features text info on Wicked Pictures. The available trailers are for Crazed, Dreamquest, Satyr, and Pornogothic. An unlisted extra is an advert for the Free Speech Coalition. One other note, the AVN and Wicked Awards - Winners and Nominations feature listed on the box does not seem to be on the disc.

DVD-ROM Special Features:
The DVD-ROM extras for The Time Machine are the Wicked Web Hyperlink and the Wicked Casino. As I don't have a DVD-ROM drive, no further information on these extras is available.

Review:
The Time Machine is a fun, cheesy, funny and a corny movie, very similar to those put out in the mid to late 80s. The film is well written and is filled with television and movie jokes. Many of the lines and situations presented in the film are corny beyond belief but that just adds to the fun. Some of the plotting is absurd and ridiculous, but if you don't take the film too seriously, it shouldn't bother you.

The cast is good looking and the sex scenes are mostly tame, with a few that show a nastier side, like the scene with Peter North and Tatianna that includes an anal. The cheesy acting helps set the mood for the film.

The film features nice set designs. Some of the costuming and props used are absurd, especially the oddly designed time machine, but none of this detracts from the film. The music sounds like it was made to fit the film and compliments the scenes perfectly.

The biggest complaint that I have with The Time Machine is that the blue screen effects for the time machine flight are very poorly done, but nothing is perfect.

The Money Shot:
The Time Machine is a great film that will probably be enjoyed by couples that are into fun films. This film will definitely be enjoyed by fans of B-movies. Those who don't like a plot in their films, like nastier sex or want a believable, not cheesy, story line will probably dislike this film. A definite rent or purchase if it sounds interesting to you.
