I always go in with high expectations, and theyve rarely disappointed me. Initial Reaction: Its a nice little piece of fluff, but nothing too special. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants couples friendly porn without much plot Who Should Avoid It: Raincoaters and anybody who wants a lot of plot or more extreme sex Audio /Video Quality: Wicked is well known for having one of the best transfers around, and The Spa isnt any different. The audio is clear and well balanced without any signs of dubbing. The video is much the same way, and continues clearly out to the edge of the screen.

Production Date: 02 / 2001 Director: Alex Sanders Cast: April, Claudia Adkins, Misty Mendez, Nadia Foster, Sky, Kyle Stone, Rick Masters, Jay Ashley, Jason McCain, and of course, Alex Sanders Initial Expectations: I havent heard much of anything about this series, but with April, Sky, and Claudia in it Im expecting some scorching scenes. Initial Reaction: Theres a nice focus on feet and some good scenes, but the camera work holds it back. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who likes gonzo porn thats on the very basic side. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes very high quality gonzo porn. Audio /Video Quality: The audio varies quite a bit, but for the most part it sounds kind of hollow. Its a typical problem with gonzo porn and not the only gonzo problem to appear here. Theres also some shaky camera work, some fairly minor focus problems, and a few places where the shadows get in the way a bit. The camera work is the biggest problem, and moves aorund to the point I felt slightly nauseous a couple times.

Who Should Watch It : Couples who like a little edgier sex with a romantic plot Who Should Avoid It: Raincoaters Audio /Video Quality: VCA has always been known for an excellent presentation, and this one isnt much different. The audio is clear and well balanced, but there are a few parts that are obviously dubbed. Theyre during an outdoor scene, so Im assuming that there was a lot of outdoor noise they tried to cover up.

Initial Reaction: Its pretty good, and the realistic reactions are very refreshing. Who Should Watch It : Fans of swallowing and porn with more natural reactions Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants high gonzo production values Audio /Video Quality: The audio varies a bit between the scenes, but is frequently a little on the quiet side. Its slightly uneven at times and frequently hard to hear. The video, however, is nice and clear. It also has its problems, and suffers from some of the typical gonzo drawbacks. Theres quite a bit of shake at times, as well as the camera not pointing exactly where it should be.

Early in the feature it seems like its kind of pushing the limits and is kind of scratchy, although it is well balanced. As the feature goes on, it seems to come out a little better, but its still there a little bit. The video has a slight grain to it, and quite a few shadows. Music: The music is pretty typical and well balanced with the rest of the audio.

It also cuts out completely a few times, which is very obvious and very annoying. I was actually debating between a little on how to rate this overall, and this was one of the two reasons it got the lower rating.

Once again Nic Cramer uses a widescreen video format. It has a little grain, which is to be expected since I believe Mr. Cramer normally shoots his features on film. I have to admit to being disappointed that nobody cared enough to do it right and give it an anamorphic transfer, which anybody with a widescreen TV begs for.
