Initial Expectations: I’m really looking forward to this one. The cast is great, the trailer I watched on some of Adam & Eve’s other titles looked great, and I love thief movies. Unfortunately, this probably means my expectations are high enough I’m bound to be let down.

Initial Reaction: Yep. I was let down. It’s a pretty average feature, but a very well done DVD.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for an average couples feature that doesn’t push things too much

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for a well developed plot or nastier sex

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is normally very clear and well balanced, but there are a couple spots where it seems a little on the low side. There’s also a little bit of dubbing, which I’m guessing is due to a lot of noise during the outdoor scenes. The video is in anamorphic widescreen, which I always enjoy. It’s normally very clear , but there are a couple spots where it’s very blurry. I’m not sure if this was intentional or not, since it’s obvious enough that it looks like it would be hard to not miss. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that the camera operators were too familiar with the concept, as heads are frequently cut off.

Music: As usual with Nicholas Steele’s recent movies, Saint provides the music. Saint has a great techno style that should be very fitting for the action sequences and sex in X Professionals, but I wasn’t quite as impressed here as usual. For starters it’s a little loud, and it feels a little overly familiar here.

Menus: The main menu is nicely done with some great animation that gives the DVD the feel of many mainstream action DVDs. The chapter menu allows you to choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene, as well as choose between the start of the scene and the cumshot.

The Feature: Brook Lane has been an integral part of Steve Drake’s team of thieves, not just stealing items, but as Evan Stone puts it, stealing lifestyles. Boats, planes, cars, nothing is too big for this group to steal. Now Brook wants out, but Steve isn’t willing to let her go and tells her lover, Jean Luc Godard to take care of her permanently if she tries to leave.

Joey Ray starts things out with Le De Mae, a gorgeous blonde with a body to kill or die for. Lea drops down and puts some great energy into orally pleasing Joey, stroking him as she goes but never appearing to take him into her throat. Joey doesn’t bother to return the favor, preferring instead to get right to the main event and boink Lea from behind. They move on to a little reverse cowgirl before Lea takes an impressive facial that she looks like she enjoys completely. It’s a very warm scene that suffers from many of the camera angles. It seems like Mr. Steele was more concerned with getting fancier shots and shooting through aquariums than actually capturing hot sex, which many of us know Lea is very capable of.

Nikita Denise, current AVN Starlet of the Year, and Holly Hollywood, who’s not really known for creating an original stage name but is cute nonetheless, work each other over on the deck of the yacht. The girls start off working each other over with their tongues, and don’t really let their fingers do too much work until they get into a sixty nine. Nikita also lets her tongue wander up for a quick lick on Holly’s beautiful bunghole, but it only lasts for about one lick. It’s another very warm scene, but once again I don’t really care for many of the camera angles. They tend to focus on closeups, and you rarely get a chance to see both girls working on each other while filling the screen. You normally only get close ups or long long distance shots. I also admit that I had pretty high hopes for this scene since Nikita Denise was in it, but she didn’t appear to put out the same amount of energy here as she has in some of her other scenes.

Kristina Black, looking amazing in a red PVC outfit, gets a little action from Evan Stone on the hood of a Mercedes. She starts to strip down on the car, and continues as Evan eats her pussy a little as she’s hoisted up above his head so he can lick her. He sets her back on the hood and attacks her pussy through her panties. Kristina’s panties come off so Evan can give her pussy a good hard fingering, and she follows it up by giving Evan an impressive throat fucking. Evan goes on to fuck her as she returns to the hood, first with a little missionary action, then with a little doggie, and finishing it up with a nice looking pile driver. Kristina finishes off Evan with a very nice facial that she seems nicely into. It’s a very hot scene that has nice chemistry as well. It’s definitely one of the best in the feature and one that’ll please fans of Kristina Black, in addition to making a few more.

Steve Drake gives Steven St. Croix, oops, that’s Jean Luc Godard, cute brunette Claudia Adkins as a little incentive to do his job right. Jean gives both of Claudia’s holes a little oral attention to start things off, and reaches around so he can continue to play as she sucks his cock all the way down to the base. Claudia climbs onto Jean for a reverse cowgirl ride to make the cameraman happy right away, and then lets him move on to fuck her ass doggie style and missionary. He finishes it off with a nice pop on her stomach. It’s another good scene that has some nice heat and chemistry.

Jean Luc Godard returns for the next scene, this time with Brook Lane, an average looking bleached blonde, who immediately drops down to face fuck his cock. She puts some nice energy into it and keeps it going fairly well as Jean starts fucking her from behind. They move on to fuck on a nearby welder until Jean decorates Brook from her pussy up to her throat. It’s another average scene, but I can’t say that I liked Brook from the first time I saw her even on the box cover, let alone in the movie.

Brook finishes things off with Steve Drake on his yacht. She gives him a decent cocksucking before letting him finger and sample her snatch. They move on to fuck in a few common positions, with much of it feeling uninspired and finishing off in a pop on Brook’s ass. It’s a disappointment of a final scene.

X Professionals is a pretty average feature. There’s a plot, but not much is done with it. The sex is much the same way. There’s some great talent here, but if the cameramen don’t do things right, which seems to happen often here, you’re not going to know it. This is the case for most of X Professionals. The camera focuses mostly on close shots and long distance shots, so that the performers are one of many elements on the screen rather than being the focus. If you’re expecting a lot, you’re probably going to be disappointed with X Professionals, but if you’re expecting a typical porno you might be pretty happy.

Extras: Adam & Eve continues their recent trend of having the star bios done in an interview format. Bios are included here for Nikita Denise, Holly Hollywood, Kristina Black, and Evan Stone, lasting between about five minutes and sixteen minutes. Each star talks about how they got into the business, how they got their name, their hobbies, their fantasies, and their plans for after porn. Best of all, you get a little feel for the star as a person. It’s a great way to handle star bios, and a way I’m surprised studios haven’t done more before.

Trailers are included from A Wolf’s Tail, A Devil’s Tail, Beauty & The Bitch, Naked Hollywood 5: Twisted, and Raging Lust. Adam & Eve’s set reel is also included, which offers about ten and a half minutes of sex from Adam & Eve’s movies. Of course, there’s also web site information to find more about Adam & Eve on the net.

The first bonus scene comes from Naked Hollywood 1: Faking It (although it’s listed here as Naked Hollywood 1: Lust or Love) and stars Dee and Daisy Chain. There’s some nice little foreplay leasing up to Daisy sucking Dee’s tits and fingering and licking Dee’s pussy. Daisy keeps moving things along, letting Dee lick her pussy as she fingers her own ass, and then has Dee lay back so she can play with Dee’s pussy some more. It’s a well done scene that once again has some very nice chemistry, as well as good heat.

The second bonus scene comes from After Midnight and Joey Ray and two girls, both of whom have nice real tits. Joey starts things out with his dick in one girls mouth, and as she sucks him, another girl comes in to watch and play with herself. As Joey starts fucking the first girl, who has a super smooth shaved snatch, the second girl whips out a vibrator to fuck herself with as she watches. The first girl continues to move things along by taking Joey in her posterior pucker before he pops on her pussy. It’s a very hot scene that’s very nicely done. After seeing this scene I really hope After Midnight shows up on DVD soon.

Finally, there’s a twenty minute behind the scenes featurette. It starts off nicely with the crew screwing around a little and having fun. From there it goes down hill a bit, focusing quite a bit on photo shoots and bringing in quite a few clips from the actual feature. It also focuses quite a bit on Brook Lane, who did absolutely nothing for me. There’s no interviews with the stars or showing what else is going on behind the scenes, which I always enjoy. Instead it gives another angle on many of the scenes, which normally includes the cameras in the shots. You do get a to see a little of what happens between the shots, but that’s about it. Unless you’re a fan of one of the stars, the behind the scenes is pretty skippable, and even then keep the remote handy.

Overall: Most of Adam & Eve’s Premium Collection titles can be found online for between $15 and $25. It’s a fair range here. The movie itself is pretty average, but the extras are very well done. The transfer comes close to being excellent, but has a few minor problems such as Saint’s music being on the loud side through most of the feature.

Note to Adam & Eve: It’s really nice to see you putting so much effort into your DVDs lately. Also, thank you for going to anamorphic widescreen, but please put a little more thought into some of the arrangements. Many of the scenes appeared to not be thought out and showed it as a weakness rather than a strength.
