Reviewed on: 10/19/2003

Studio: Adam & Eve

Starring: Mickey Lynn, Mark Davis, Angel, Shanna McCullough, Dyan Cannon, David Wells, Joey D., Eric Jeter
Directed by: Candida Royalle

Review brief: Running Time: 76 min. Production Date: 10 / 1996 Director: Candida Royalle Cast: Angel Smith, Diane Cannon, Micki Lynn, Shanna McCullough, David Wells, Eric Jeter, Joey D., and Mark Davis Initial Expectations: Ive had mixed results from Femmes line. Im not really sure what to expect here. Initial Reaction: Its so tame that I almost fell asleep. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who thinks a typical porno is going to be too intense Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting graphic porn Audio /Video Quality: The audio is fairly average. Some of the dialogue is hard to understand due to the levels changing slightly throughout the movie. The video shows some slight grain, almost as if it were shot on film. The lighting varies throughout the movie, which gives it a slightly artistic feeling at times and at other times it makes it seem like the budget wasnt quite high enough. It also mixes full color and sepia toned footage, which works very nice and makes the feature seem a bit timeless and artistic. Music: The music is soft and sensual.

Review brief: Running Time: 78 min. Production Date: 5 / 25 / 1997 Director: Thomas Paine Cast: Alexandra Silk, Erika Lockett, Mia Ciccero, Asia Carrera, Alex Sanders, John Decker, Michael J. Cox, and Peter North Initial Expectations: Thomas Paine has rarely impressed me much, so I dont have much for hopes here. Initial Reaction: Theres some hot sex, but it isnt close to consistent. Who Should Watch It : Anybody whos a fan of Alexandra Silk or whos just curious about her Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who insists on top notch technical aspects and DVDs packed as far as they can be Audio /Video Quality: This is one of Adam & Eves earliest DVDs, and its not that hard to tell. Most everything here seems very reminiscent of VHS. The audio is clear, but seems slightly muffled at times. The video has a yellowish tinge to it as well as some slight grain. Theres also a few shadows that interfere. Music: The music is soft and rests very quietly in the background for most of the movie, but it sounds more like a loud train wreck for the orgy scene.

Production Date: 4 / 11 / 2002 Director: Nicholas Steele Cast: Jodie Moore, Zana, Dominca Leoni, Kennedy, Majella, Nikki Fairchild, Tawny Roberts, Julian, Lee Stone, Ricky Roberts, and Randy Spears Initial Expectations: Nicholas Steele has made some decent couples features, which is about what Im expecting. Initial Reaction: Its beautiful, but seems to have trouble getting beyond being pretty. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting softer sex, elaborate locations, and soft lighting Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a good look at the action or who wants the sex to push a limit or two Audio /Video Quality: The audio quality is a mixed bag. Some of it is nice and clear, but other areas are a bit hollow and echo. Much of this is due to the locations, but it makes it hard to understand some of the dialogue. Theres also some very obvious dubbing and the levels change a bit throughout the movie.

Review brief: Running Time: 113 min. Production Date: 8 / 29 / 2002 Director: Nicholas Steele Cast: Nikita Denise, Ashley, Cameron Cruise, Becca Bratt, Avy Scott, Jana Cova, Steve Holmes, Randy Spears, Lee Stone, and Steve St. Croix Initial Expectations: Nicholas Steele has been kind of hit or miss for me, so Im not quite sure what to expect. Initial Reaction: Its not a bad investment. Who Should Watch It : Couples wanting something with a light but sexy plot and sex that pushes things slightly Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something extremely soft or with a lot of anal Audio /Video Quality: The audio left a little to be desired for me. First, the level seems a little on the low side and varies throughout the movie. Second, the balance seems off in places, although thankfully its not off so badly that it jumps right out at you. Finally, theres a few background noises throughout the feature that do jump right out at you (especially during the scene between Jana and Cameron).

After how much I enjoyed that one Im really looking forward to this one. Initial Reaction: Ill admit that I had too high of expectations going in, but this one is everything it seems to try to be. Who Should Watch It : Couples Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something really soft or really hard Audio /Video Quality: The audio leaves a bit to be desired, and its mostly with how its mixed. The main audio is on the left channel, while the music is on the right channel. This seems to make it very easy for one to drown out the other, and because of it I had a hard time understanding some of the dialogue. Theres also some of the audio which appears to be dubbed.

Who Should Watch It : Couples wanting something light but sexy Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants extremely tame sex Audio /Video Quality: The audio is okay at best. Initial Reaction: Its a surprisingly great couples movie. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting something soft, romantic, and erotic Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something that feels unique Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but a couple areas seem a bit off. Directed by: Nicholas Steele

Review brief: Running Time: 107 min. Production Date: 4 / 10 / 2002 Director: Nicholas Steele Cast: Inari Vachs, Shelbee Myne, Jessica, Tiffany Mason, Kristal Summers, Faith, Nyomi Arman, Ian Daniels, Evan Stone, Randy Spears, Julian, and Dale DaBone Initial Expectations: I havent heard anything about this one, but with Inari Vachs Im definitely willing to give it a chance. Initial Reaction: Its one of the best fuck flicks Ive seen from Nicholas Steele so far. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting artistically captured sex in a variety of settings Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants a lot of plot or tame couples action Audio /Video Quality: For the most part, the audio is pretty clear, but there are a few background noises and directions that are audible. Theres also more than a little dubbing throughout the feature, and the opening sequence is so problematic that I had no real clue what the plot of the movie was supposed to be. The video is slightly grainy, almost as if the feature was shot on film.

Review brief: Running Time: 94 min. Production Date: 5 / 06 / 2002 Director: Fred J. Lincoln Cast: Jewel DeNyle, Nikita Denise, Bobbi Barrington, Ann Marie, Julian, Marty Romano, Lee Stone, and Billy Glyde Initial Expectations: Ive normally found Fred Lincolns movies to be about as erotic as watching paint dry. Im not really expecting anything different here. Initial Reaction: Its surprisingly good! Who Should Watch It : Couples looking for a movie with a light plot and some intensity to the sex Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting the nastier side of Jewel. Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and fairly well balanced. The video has some very slight grain and the lighting is a little low at times, but theres never anything thats so bad that it impaired my seeing anything. Music: The music has a techno and rock feel to it, and is so loud that you can barely hear anything from the cast. Quite a bit of the music is also easily recognizable, which also brought it down a notch for me.
