Initial Reaction: Its a nice idea that never manages to get much past average. Who Should Watch It : Asia Carrera fans Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who hates slow motion Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear, although there are a few areas with some noticeable dubbing. The balance seems to change a bit throughout the feature, with some of it being low enough that the dialogue is hard to hear. Theres a few background noises, but they often fit in with the scenes. The video has a slightly soft feel, which doesnt really affect the movie one way or another. Unfortunately, theres several slow motion breaks in the movie which do hurt it, as it breaks a lot of the momentum of the heat in the scenes.

Review brief: These guys are very young looking. Even when they say they are 23 they still look to be around 16 or 17. Review brief: What is the other face of pleasure? It could be, if you buy the storyline in this film, a more exotic, riskier approach to sex. But I think its something more fundamental than that and a little more fun. The Other Face of Pleasure is Antonio Adamos sly poke at himself and his traditional approach to porn. Adamos fans may find themselves doing a double-take at this movie. It isnt what weve come to expect from the director: same amount of sex, same crisp and clear photography, the usual beautiful girls, but with a different emphasis. Adamo, who adores anal sex, provides only two examples of it in six scenes. Each includes double-penetration, another Adamo favorite, butjust twice? Somehow it doesnt seem right. And what about his money shots? All his actors cum, of course, but not one of them is allowed to do so on his partners face; theyre forced to aim instead for her tits. This complete disregard for the facial is damn near sacrilegious for an Adamo film. The other face of pleasure, it seems, is a lighter, more traditional form of sex.

The audio is pretty average, but does have some balance problems. The video lacks much more. Theres some slight grain, frequent remnants, and an overabundance of shadows throughout the feature. With the exception of the remnants, which I assume are due to the age of the feature, almost all of the problems look like theyre from the original filming of the feature.

But I expected the sex with a real-life partner to have more chemistry, and be less for-the-camera. Scenes After a bunch of phone-sex ads, we arrive at the home of Kim Chambers and Scott Styles. They have a nice airy apartment with trendy eggplant colored walls, and hidden webcams around in various rooms, for their website. We see their enormous collection of vitamin pills and protein powders in their spotless kitchen, and then we go to another room to see their pet marsupial rodents. Kim gets her pussy licked, and they do a bit of intense fucking in cowgirl. I liked the stop-start pace of it. Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty normal for gonzo porn. The audio is often a little off balance, and theres a fair amount of camera shakes, soft focus blurs, and shadows. That said, most of the audio is pretty clear, although there is a bit of the dialogue that gets lost. Theres also a bit of grain throughout the feature. Music: None. Menus: The menus are pretty standard. There main menu is very plain but has a small clip of the movie. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the lady in the scene.

Unfortunately, White Angel makes a pale comparison - although it has good production values and some impressive acting by Anthony Crane, it just doesnt have much body to it after 75 minutes. Review brief: Its not easy to imagine. A professionally produced feature film, an acclaimed director at the helm, an attractive castit seems ludicrous, impossible, yet Antonio Adamo has done it. Hes managed to make lesbian sex look pathetic. This has nothing to do with taste or preference. Some people like girl/girl, some people dont. Thats never stopped the girls from getting off just the same. No, what Adamos done here, in the conclusion of his Gladiator trilogy, is put on film a visual representation of the sexual chauvinism that preaches a good fuck is all thats standing between a lesbian and real sex. While Lynn Stone and Barbarella moan with heterosexual orgasmic pleasure in the foreground of the movies second scene, a couple of chicks remain interminably locked in a weak, quiet 69 in the background. Adamos close-ups dont add any excitement to the tryst; they merely clarify how unsatisfying it must be. Bad girl/girl is rife in the porn industry, but its rare to find a scene that makes it look quite as pointless as this one does. Pointless, too, is the Roman setting.

Review brief: Sex on Film tells the story of film student Joel Lawrence who, thanks to girlfriend Jenna Haze, snaps to the bright idea of making a porn movie for his thesis project. And not just any porn movie, eitherevery porn movie. His script (its one of those deal-with-the-devil stories) is so generic that if it had been seen in Repo Man it would have had a white cover sheet with Porn Script written across it in big black block lettering. On his way to an F for originality, writer/director Brad Armstrong burns up most of Joels story with another porno convention, the talent search. I dont suppose any of this would be anything more serious than another wasted opportunity except that in this case the sex is as uninspiring as the storyline. The sex isnt bad, its conventional. Well-produced, crisp and clear, but typical American porn fare just the same; another sad case of a director failing to grasp the pointlessness of grafting narrative onto a sex film without a meaningful attempt at integrating the two.

Adamos fans may find themselves doing a double-take at this movie. It isnt what weve come to expect from the director: same amount of sex, same crisp and clear photography, the usual beautiful girls, but with a different emphasis. Adamo, who adores anal sex, provides only two examples of it in six scenes. Each includes double-penetration, another Adamo favorite, butjust twice? Somehow it doesnt seem right. Avalon demonstrated excellent direction in the former feature and although his style cooled the sex, the movie had some very good scenes in addition to a great story and production values. Unfortunately, White Angel makes a pale comparison - although it has good production values and some impressive acting by Anthony Crane, it just doesnt have much body to it after 75 minutes. The sex begins with the buxom Stacy Valentine and two guys (Chucky & J.J. Michaels).

Review brief: Its not easy to imagine. A professionally produced feature film, an acclaimed director at the helm, an attractive castit seems ludicrous, impossible, yet Antonio Adamo has done it. Hes managed to make lesbian sex look pathetic. This has nothing to do with taste or preference. Some people like girl/girl, some people dont. Thats never stopped the girls from getting off just the same. No, what Adamos done here, in the conclusion of his Gladiator trilogy, is put on film a visual representation of the sexual chauvinism that preaches a good fuck is all thats standing between a lesbian and real sex. While Lynn Stone and Barbarella moan with heterosexual orgasmic pleasure in the foreground of the movies second scene, a couple of chicks remain interminably locked in a weak, quiet 69 in the background. Adamos close-ups dont add any excitement to the tryst; they merely clarify how unsatisfying it must be. Bad girl/girl is rife in the porn industry, but its rare to find a scene that makes it look quite as pointless as this one does. Pointless, too, is the Roman setting.

The video, however, didnt impress me much. It only has a little grain, but its also on the dark side, has frequent soft focus problems, and has an effect done to it that makes it seem jerky. Its almost like watching porn with a strobe light turned really fast, and it quickly started to hurt my eyes.

Review brief: As I understand it, the appeal of Ed Powersthe man, not so much the filmmakeris that hes a kind of everyman with whom the viewer can identify. Watching him make it with pretty, young girls gives hope to the poor slob with a more common physique than all those buffed up porn stars. Be that as it may, Ed Powers does less than nothing for me--less, because I lose all interest in a scene when he makes an appearance before the camera. He exudes that creepy dirty-old-man odor that even today wafts up unpleasantly from the sweaty underbelly of porn. Which isnt to say that Powers, when he stays behind the camera, doesnt occasionally capture a little lightning. Both sides of Ed Powers are on display in Briana Banks Exposed. Briana is featured in three scenes and her unfortunate willingness to screw Powers ensures that he will appear in each as a performer. The middle scene, however, starts differently, with Powers encouraging Briana to let his cameragirl touch her pussy.

Review brief: Expectations I have generally liked Digital Sin's releases. They tend to be targeted to a particular fetish, and then they stick to that target very well. Review brief: Sex on Film tells the story of film student Joel Lawrence who, thanks to girlfriend Jenna Haze, snaps to the bright idea of making a porn movie for his thesis project. And not just any porn movie, eitherevery porn movie. His script (its one of those deal-with-the-devil stories) is so generic that if it had been seen in Repo Man it would have had a white cover sheet with Porn Script written across it in big black block lettering. On his way to an F for originality, writer/director Brad Armstrong burns up most of Joels story with another porno convention, the talent search. I dont suppose any of this would be anything more serious than another wasted opportunity except that in this case the sex is as uninspiring as the storyline. The sex isnt bad, its conventional. Well-produced, crisp and clear, but typical American porn fare just the same; another sad case of a director failing to grasp the pointlessness of grafting narrative onto a sex film without a meaningful attempt at integrating the two.
