The plot focuses on the remnants of a world that has been destroyed by "the burn"--a nuclear holocaust--brought about by a scientist who was also Kayden's deceased father. Emerging from a protective chamber years after "the burn", Kayden sets forth into this strange land--a land that is fraught with danger and that features a dog-eat-dog, every-man-for-himself mentality. While the storyline gets off to something of a slow start--as does the sex--these items do pick up the pace substantially during the second half of the feature, and there is plenty of both to satisfy most consumers.
