French Teen

Release date: 3/24/2009
Reviewed on: 2/7/2016

Studio: Cal Vista Classics

Starring: Sharon Mitchell, Bobby Astyr, David Christopher, Pepe, Clea Carson, Peter Andrews, Paula Morton, Susaye London, Bobby Niles, Marcia Minor, Jacqueline Martin
Directed by: John Christopher, Jack Bravman

Review brief: It's all about naughty nookie and horny hijinks when two young ladies, Sharon Mitchell and Susaye London, decide that they need a break from the city and opt to rent a party home out in the 'burbs. Of course, the two nubiles always find themselves short of cash, as women of their age are wont to do, and they soon discover that the best form of payment for just about anything (...including the rental...) is ass. Fortunately for all involved, this suits the girls just fine, and they happily make good on their payments. Such is the case in "French Teen", an overall-good, 1977 release from Cal Vista and director John Christopher.

Review brief: It's the early 1970s, a time of political, social, and sexual change and unrest, when the new, the old, and everything in between is clashing, and only one Presidential candidate, the uber-popular sex star, Linda Lovelace, can unite the various factions of the country and bring peace and harmony to the land. Such is the case in "Linda Lovelace for President", a decent, 1973 release from Gourmet Video.

Not only had the period seen some of the best moments in the history of the biz, but it was time again for Elegant Angel, a true powerhouse among production companies in the industry, to gather together the best of the best--the cream of the crotch, if you will--of the female talent and release its annual "Performers of the Year" title, this time for 2013...

Directed by: Kemal Horulu

Review brief: "The Sexualist", a 1975 release from Gourmet Video and Kemal Horulu, lies somewhere between a narrated adult film and a faux-documentary that largely takes a look at the underfunded work of a fictional hippie director, Dale T. Fuller, with an era-appropriate vision--that sex, masturbation, and astrology are all linked to humanity's ultimate development.

Featuring Ms. Andrea True--who went on to a good deal of disco fame shortly thereafter (i.e. with her hit, "More, More, More")--as a dopey, though sexually liberated, southern belle who's been locked up for indecent exposure, this film finds the Tennessee tart sucking and fucking just about anyone who happens to find his or her way into her cell.

Review brief: Despite the fact that they have two eager and willing boyfriends chomping at the bit to get into their pants, Marsha Wolfe and Yvonne Green decide that it's far more interesting to whore their way around San Francisco--fucking older strangers as they do--than it is to play with someone their own age. Review brief: "Wacky World of X-Rated Bloopers", an overall-decent, 1989 release from Gourmet Video and narrated by Kimberly Carson, is exactly as its name would imply--a collection of bloopers and behind the scenes material from a number of 1980's releases. Funny moments, true missteps, wood issues, and micromanaging directors are all highlighted. A number of stars from the era make appearances, some more so than others, and the release does provide a nice look at life on a porn set from a time period when BTS material really wasn't mass-produced and readily available. While it's not so much a production to get off to, it's certainly interesting and reasonably worth a watch.

Directed by: Ted Roter

Review brief: When a desperate girl on the street sells Kevin James a ring that she stole from her father, his (...sexual...) luck changes...and so does everyone else's who comes into possession of the bejeweled band. Such is the case in "Ring of Desire", a good, 1981 release from Peter Balakoff and Gourmet Video. Indeed, the ring finds itself passed around the various corners--and between the assorted characters--of Hollywood, from lawyers to actresses to writers to prostitutes and so on, and whoever owns it at the time finds him- or herself quite lucky (...as in "getting lucky"...). With a clever, though simple plot, good acting, a number of shorter sex scenes, and a strong cast, this little fuck-flick from yesteryear is actually a lot of fun and worthy of a watch...particularly for fans of the classics.

Review brief: It's difficult to find anything "violating" about a tepid girl/girl scene, a good-but-standard boy/girl scene, and three masturbatory sequences...yet we still find ourselves saddled with the improperly titled "Violation of Cadence Lux" from AMK Empire. Sure, there's a tiny bit of peeing in one segment and some dick in another, but nothing in this release even remotely rises to the level of action that the title would imply...nor does any of it really justify a purchase or a even a rental.

Review brief: When a vulgar, crude-talking ladies' man, John Leslie, chances upon a married-but-unfulfilled Jesie St. James upon a beach, he gives himself three days to get into her pants. Such is the case in "Talk Dirty To Me 1", an exceptional, 1980 release from Dreamland Entertainment and Anthony Spinelli. Directed by: Joe D'Amato

Review brief: A famed western gunslinger, Rocco Siffredi, and his gang can't say no to women in distress, especially when they're offering up some ass as payment, in "Outlaws". A very good, Old West themed flick from Joe D'Amato and Sin City (1998), this one features far more sucking and fucking than plot, but it does make it to the point where Siffredi and his gang are on their way to take on the bad-guys. The sets, setting, costuming, and grit all feel authentic, and the cheesy English overdubs (presumably from the original Italian) only add to the spaghetti western flavor. Further, the sex is hot--with plenty of anal--and so are the actresses. All around, this one's a winner and will definitely appeal to fans of the Wild West and its harsh, though romanticized, way of life.
