Review:
A young woman's (Joan Devlon's) sexual awakening has nightmarish consequences when her curiosity and friendship with Susan Catherine lead her to stray outside of the relative safety of her parents' home and into the clutches of a handful of low-life, urban characters. Such is the case in "Little Angel Puss", a very good, 1976 release from Alan Colberg and Cal Vista. As much a cautionary tale against the evils of promiscuity as it is a porno, this flick works at maintaining a compelling, though dark, plot--at which it largely succeeds--while concomitantly incorporating both sexual and seedy elements. Indeed, Ms. Devlon is something to look at--as is Sharon Thorpe, who's also in the film--and the sex is generally decent enough, despite the ugly side of life into which the heroine falls. There's hard drug use, pimping and prostitution, sexual trafficking, and so on all presented in this production, which cause it to deviate distinctly from the more "chipper" and upbeat tone for which many other releases of the era strived. For those into the classics and / or looking for something dark, different, and gritty, this one's most definitely worthy of a watch.
In terms of the sex, Scene One couples the daydreaming Joan Devlon with Rick Lutze for an oral and vaginal romp in a swimming pool (no-hands cum-shot out of missionary on the bush). In Scene Two, Joan talks her boyfriend, John Schaeffer, out of his pants in her bedroom, and the two get a bit freaky before he's spooked and heads out (oral ; no pop). Scene Three has Joan's more experienced friend, the blonde Susan Catherine, showing her a thing or two about sex with a vibrator (fingers by Joan on Susan). In Scene Four, Joan mounts a seedy dude, Tyler Reynolds, in his bed after the two have gotten to know one another. Scene Five finds Joan in the big city with a "friend" of Tyler's, David Book, and his girl, Sharon Thorpe. The pair drugs her drink and takes advantage of her on their sofa...sweethearts that they are (oral, vaginal by Joan). The trio later gives it a brief second go on a waterbed after some time has elapsed and after Joan has fallen further into their grasp (Scene Six; oral). In Scene Seven, Joan goes out on an assignment for David, uncomfortably masturbating and stuffing grapes up her pussy for a pushy asshole of a client. Scene Eight has a more and more desperate Joan giving David a quick blowjob--albeit an uninspired one--in the kitchen, while in Scene Nine, David and Sharon make love orally upon their bed.
