Production Date: July 13 - 14, 2000 Director: Nicholas Steele Cast: Ava Vincent, Evan Stone, Dale DaBone, Suzy Sweet, Isabella, Briana Banks, Rita Faltoyano, Alexa, John Decker, and Marty Romano Initial Expectations: Ava Vincent and Briana Banks are really at the top of their game right now, so I have fairly high expectations for Emerald Rain . Initial Reaction: Its almost like if the Discovery Channel made a great porno. Who Should Watch It : Although its a little heavy on the anal sex in the beginning, its a great couples movie. Its also great for couples since theres absolutely no girl / girl action. Its a beautiful location and beautifully shot feature. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for hardcore sex. Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very good and pretty well balanced. The video is extremely clear and does a great job of capturing the Amazon scenery. There are a few shadow problems, but they arent too common.

Production Date: 8 / 16 / 2000 Director: Michael Raven (who also wrote the screenplay) Cast: Jessica Drake, Evan Stone, Ava Vincent, Julie Meadows, Dillion Day, Alec Metro in sex scenes and Anthony Crane, Nicole London, Jim Enright, Jack Palance, Harry Jacque, Danny Wallace and Ric Rodney in non-sex roles Initial Expectations: Michael Ravens Underworld completely blew me away and Michael Raven told me that he considers this one of his best, so I have very high expectations for Adrenaline. Sin Citys overall DVDs, however, have been okay so Im not sure if the movie will get the treatment it really deserves. Initial Reaction: I wasnt even five minutes into Adrenaline (including the opening credits) before I knew I was really going to like the movie. The overall DVD is better than average but a few little changes would help a lot. Who Should Watch It : Fans of almost anybody in the cast and anybody who likes great adult movies (which go far beyond pornos).

Initial Reaction: It might be the best of the three Tina Tylers Favorites . Who Should Watch It : It should be mandatory viewing for all fans of oral sex. Who Should Avoid It: People who think blowjobs are just for foreplay. Audio /Video Quality: The audio sounds great. You can hear almost everything and especially some of the girls as they slurp away. The video for the most part has a very slight grain. It looks about like you expect well done adult movies shot on film to look.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for very tame sex and raincoaters. Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear through most of the feature. Music: The music is well balanced and has a good mix of styles that fits the scenes well.

Initial Reaction: Its really good and although it doesnt go as nasty as Chloe can, it does pushes some limits for VCA. Audio /Video Quality: The audio is normally very clear but there is some unevenness. The video is clear but shows some grain. Its also very bright. Music: The music is well balanced and a mix of funky, classical - like, and typical porn music. Review: Thighs Wide Open stars Chloe in the Nicole Kidman role and Evan Stone in Tom Cruises role in a rip-off that might have Kubrick rolling over in his grave. Chloe and Evan play a married couple whos reached a lull after being married three years.

Tina really knows what to do in front of the camera and if she does half as good behind it, this ones going to be a keeper! Initial Reaction: Its a great oral movie that blends gonzo and normal adult movies very well. Audio /Video Quality: The video has a slight grain but it doesnt interfere with the movie at all. The audio, in a word, sucks (which Ms. Tyler admits and apologizes for on the commentary). The interviews are hard to hear and you can barely hear any of the sex sounds. Music: The music is all electronic and by 13 Music. It changes according to the feel of the scene and does a great job of enhancing the scenes.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio and video quality lives up to the typical high standards one has come to expect from Evil Angel. You can hear everything when Joeys shooting at the convention which makes some of the dialogue a little hard to hear but not too much. The video is very clear and I didnt notice any flaws. Music: None Review: Please! contains five unrelated scenes by Joey Silvera. In the past, Joey has always been somebody whos okay. Id neither look for him nor avoid him.

Its very clear and very well balanced. You can even hear the vibrators clearly which is pretty rare. The video isnt quite as good and varies between fairly pixelized and clear. As the movie goes on it seems to get better. Music: The music is also excellent. It varies a little but not much and is very well balanced. The level varies from being so quiet in the background that you have to actually listen for it to basically being the only audio depending on the scene.

A lot of the movie has a very slight grain and there are some spots with a little soft focus blur. A lot of it appears to be intentional, as there are some tricks played with the video in the movie. Music: The music is very unique and dark. It fits the mystery and the darkness beautifully. Review: A little while ago Brittany Spears dropped Gregory Dark as a director of her music videos because she found out that he used to do porn.

Ive got high expectations. Initial Reaction: Wow. Its beautiful, artistic, and very erotic. Audio /Video Quality: The picture is so clear that I wasnt sure if it was even shot on film. To my knowledge, Blake always shoots on film, so this DVD shows that porn shot on film doesnt have to look grainy. There are almost no sex sounds in the audio. There is a voice over in some parts of the movie which is very clear. Music: The music varies from the Ave Maria to techno. It fits the scenes and, like everything else, is very well done. Review: As with most of Andrew Blakes films, there isnt much plot. Even saying that much might be stretching the amount of plot in Pin-Ups 2 . Instead theres more of a general theme.

The Buttman movies that Ive seen have also been great. I dont have any reason to expect this to be any different. Initial Reaction: Its not a great DVD, but it is very good. The movie is a lot of fun and the commentarys great. Audio /Video Quality: Buttmans Ultimate Workout was shot in 1990 on betacam, so youre not going to get the same clarity as on some of the current releases. Considering that its over ten years old, its a very good picture. Theres some grain, but its to be expected. The sound is a little muffled in places, but it really fits the scenes. Although its not the best, clearest sound, its perfect for the movie.

Initial Reaction: Another great job from Private. Its not a perfect release, but its close. Audio /Video Quality: Except for about thirty seconds the picture quality is great. There are a few night shots of Paris that are very grainy. Except for those scenes, the picture is almost perfect. The audio is noticeably dubbed, but it is a foreign release. I would have been happier if the French language would have matched up better with the video, but both it and the English plot summaries are very clear. Music: The music ranges from Beethovens Moonlight Sonata to your normal high quality porn music. It sits very nicely in the background and there were times I had to consciously listen for it to know it was there.

Although it didnt meet my expectations, its still the best DVD Adam & Eve has done. Audio /Video Quality: Both are excellent. The picture is very crisp. The audio is almost as good as the video but shows a few signs of dubbing.

There are a few problems with the video, as it shows some pixelation and slight grain in a few spots. The audio was very good except that the balance with the music was off a little. Music: The music is done very well. Theres some great blues in the opening bar scene, and theres a lot of suspenseful music throughout the rest of the movie. Unfortunately its a little loud throughout most of the movie also.

Wicked normally does a great job on their transfers and extras, so Porn-o-matic 2000 should get a very good treatment. Initial Reaction: Pretty typical Jonathan Morgan stuff, so its a lot of really funny stuff thats done well in addition to the great sex. Audio /Video Quality: Excellent. This is nothing new for Wicked, who puts out some of the best transfers out there on their new titles. Music: Theres a wide range of music and it fits the scenes well.

Its one of my favorites and I hope that this one is just as good. At the very least, I have a lot of confidence in Evil Angel putting together a very well made DVD with a great transfer and plenty of well done extras. Initial Reaction: It isnt Face Dance Part 1, but it doesnt try to be either. For a gonzo movie, its going to be hard to beat. Audio /Video Quality: The transfer appears to be very good. Theres some focus issues, but nothing worse than any other gonzo movie. The audio synchs great and is very clear in all but a couple outdoor situations. Music: The music feels out of place. Thankfully, its only in a couple scenes, so it doesnt detract from the movie that much.

Audio /Video Quality: Both the audio and video are very clear, which surprised me with a low budget feature such as this. There are a few spots where there appears to be some dubbing, but theyre very rare. Music: None. False Advertising: Envy is listed in the cast but shows up nowhere in the movie.

I have, however heard horrible things about Caballeros transfer. Initial Reaction: Wow. Now I know why there is always a tone of reverence whenever Andrew Blakes name is mentioned. The transfer definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but Ive seen a lot worse. Audio /Video Quality: The video is better than I expected, but the audio is much worse. The video is very soft and slightly grainy. I dont know why, but it worked for me. Maybe it added to some of the artistic feel. For some reason, I dont think a crystal clear picture would have been as good for Secrets.

Production Date: 1996 Director: Christophe Clark Producer: Marc Dorcel (I know that I normally don't mention producers, but Marc Dorcel is the leader in Euro porn from what I understand, so it seems worth noting.) Cast: Laure Sainclair, Anita Blond, Erika Bella, Vivienne, Regina, Illana Moore, Dina Pearl, Donisz, Kristina Swarcz, Jean- Yves Le Castel, Andy Youngman, Zsolt Walton, and Ferenc Extras: Photo Gallery and bios of Laure, Anita, and Vivienne. 'The Loves of Laure' also has the original French language track along with dubbing in English, Spanish, German, and Italian and Portuguese, Danish, and Swedish subtitles. Audio Quality: The French (original language) track is very clear and synchs very well with the video. Since I don't speak French this wasn't too important to me, but it does show attention to technical details.

Production Date: March 19 - 20, 1988 Director: Francois Clousot Cast: Felicia, Taylor Moore, Sana Fey, Tina Tyler, LeeAnna Heart, Tye, Amber, Marc Davis, Vince Voyeur, Tom Byron, Ian Daniels, and Jonathan Morgan Extras: Behind the Scenes (32 min.), slide show, bios, outtakes, trailers, and web access. The bios are pretty standard, but the behind the scenes are a lot of fun. There are two scenes that we get to see the inner workings of: the final scene between Jonathan, Tina, and LeeAnna and the threesome between Vince, Ian, and Taylor. The behind the scenes of Vince, Ian, and Taylor's scene didn't really add too much for me, but the Jonathan, Tina, and LeeAnna's behind the scenes was great. It does a great job of showing the cast as real people and how much fun everybody was having on the set. Audio Quality: Good. Most of the movie is excellent, but the scenes where the spies check in with the 'Evil One' are bad. Video Quality: Very good. Music: Acoustic and, dare I say, tender.

The commentary is a great mix of humor bordering on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and background information. The deleted scene is the submission scene. It's done in black and white with only production sound. It's a very good scene on its own, but I can see why they redid it. The bloopers give a nice feel to the cast and show them as people and having a lot of fun on the set. Audio Quality: Excellent. Everything is very well balanced. Video Quality: Very good.

I really enjoyed the Behind the Scenes. It gave a nice feel to the cast as real people rather than people that you just enjoy watching having sex. Audio Quality: Dolby Surround. I suppose it stands to reason that if a company goes as far as to have Dolby Surround sound, they're going to pay attention to it so that it's good. As always, there are a couple small problems, but nothing that interfered with my enjoyment of the film. One scene showed some obvious dubbing. Video Quality: Above average. Most of the film is very clear, however there are a couple spots that are a little grainy but that's it. Music: Composed by Saint.
