This Cal-Vista shot-on-film feature from around 1984 has very little to recommend it. The sex is routine. Even the delightful Janey Robbins, one of the unsung heroines of early porn, is largely wasted. The plot has stewardess Juliet Anderson wanting to be the first female pilot on her airline, with sister Tara Aire trying to help her along. There are alot of shots inside airliner shells, and outside of windows during flights, and pirate shots at airports, but we've seen it all before in better films from that era. This film features an extended mud wrestling scene, so if you can remember the mud wrestling fad of the 1980s, you can date this film. I-Candy's DVD release of Insatiable was really well done, with obvious time and attention spent on it. A DVD well worth buying. Now I personally always prefered Insatiable II, so when I saw that I-Candy had released it on DVD I jumped at the chance to buy it. What a mistake. This DVD is almost the exact opposite of the Insatiable DVD release. The menus were obviously quickly thrown together, with a quality so poor that the DVD creators should be embarassed to have their names associated with it (e.g. menu selections indicated by an ugly big handrawn single color red X next to the item). There are no extras to speak of, there's no time code on the movie, and for some reason the movie plays horizontally squished to 50 of it's proper width (imagine the reverse of letterbox) on my Pioneer DVD player, on which I've played hundreds of DVDs and NEVER before seen this effect. And worst of all, the movie is missing LARGE segments from the original release for no percievable reason. [read the full review]

Here is a splendid little classic from 1979, produced by Harold Lime and directed by Robert McCallum. As is usual with "Golden Age" classics, the plot, acting, exterior shots and general production values are outstanding. This flick was shot on location in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. They dont make them like this anymore. Jamie Gillis plays a washed up B-movie star who is down on his luck. He has been reduced to escorting starlets to movie premieres, a service for which his agent pays him a few bucks plus expenses. He still makes the rounds of Hollywood parties, however, and at one such event, his host, J.C. Church, observes him seducing Desiree Cousteau. It is a hypnotic scene; Cousteau was a beautiful girl with wonderful, natural breasts. Georgina Spelvin secretly observes them, while being secretly observed herself by J.C. Here is another porn film that follows the time-honored convention of parodying a mainstream movie or television show. Shot on a soundstage in San Francisco in 1982, the movie has the look and feel of the hit seventies and early 80s TV show, M*A*S*H. In fact, the overhead footage at the beginning of the film is the same outdoor set built for the mainstream show. Paul Thomas plays the Hawkeye character, called Jaybird, and Joey Silvera plays the Radar character. The female lead, hot hips Henderson, is played by Jessie St. James, who looks remarkably like hot lips Hoolihan. St. James does a remarkable acting job, and even seems to have some of Loretta Swits style and mannerisms. Unfortunately, this films close similarity to the show it is parodying is about the only thing it has going for it. Films like this built the reputation of the "golden age" of adult, i.e., the years 1975 through 1982. This 1981 film is, of course, a spoof on the 1980 mainstream film "9 to 5" that starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman. In the adult version their parts are play by Loni Sanders, Annette Haven, Lisa DeLeew, and Herschel Savage. There's even a very nice theme song take-off on the famous Dolly Parton song that went with the mainstream movie. Plot and acting are superior to most seen today, and the sex scenes not only fit the plot, they advance the plot. Although the sex is by today's standards strictly couples fare, this is still a very hot movie and well worthwhile. Technically the disc is quite good, although the reverse angle gimmick was simply annoying. The video quality and audio are very good, given the age of the source material. [read the full review]

There is plot for each scene, but its never part of a cohesive whole. Its like watching the Club Massacre from the beginning of Blade, the boarding of the plane from Passenger 57, and the final inning from Major League on a Wesley Snipes compilation disc. Is there a plot? Sure, but you dont see much of it. Im just going to address the plots in the scene breakdown; its really not worth it from here. The Cast: You know, those of us who are old enough to remember the Golden Age of Porn (i.e., old farts like myself) have fond memories for the great stars of the years gone by. These warriors of the sexual age were the few warm bodies who were able to rise above the tab A into slot B routine and show us how much fun sex could be.
