Ecstasy Girls, The (Caballero) Review

All bets are off when a struggling actor who also happens to be a smooth-talking ladies' man, Jamie Gillis, signs on to be a part of a plot hatched by a wealthy, Hollywood mogul to cheat his relatives (a sister and four nieces) out of their inheritance from his dying (...and wealthier...) anti-sex crusader of a brother. Of course, this is a porno, so Jamie and his pals (John Leslie and Paul Thomas) are tasked with bedding all of the women in the family (with proof) to demonstrate their profound lack of morality and to get them kicked out of the will. The only thing that might get in the way of such an "easy", foolproof plan? Love. Such is the case in "The Ecstasy Girls", an exceptional, 1979 release from Caballero and director Robert McCallum. Featuring solid acting and a strong plot that clearly had some work put into it--both of which thin out just a bit toward the end of the film--this production is certainly one of the more ambitious of its era, and that fact is laudable (...even if it doesn't perfectly stick the final landing). Complementing this, the sets and settings are realistic, and the setups for the sex--which itself is well-captured and scorching hot--fit nicely into the storyline. The female cast also might as well be a list of who's who for the time period, counting such heavy-hitters as Serena, Desiree Cousteau, Georgina Spelvin, Lesllie Bovee, Nancy Suiter, and so on among its ranks. Overall, this really is a great adult flick, for both its sexual and its more technical elements, and it certainly deserves its place as one of the "classics". Fans of any of the guys (...particularly Jamie Gillis...) or the ladies (...especially Serena and Spelvin...) are going to want to check this one out, as are fans of the Golden Age and plot-driven features. Again...not 100% perfect...but not too far from it. Definitely worthy of checking out.

In terms of the sex, Scene One brings together Jamie Gillis and his two babes, the lovely blondes, Nancy Suiter and Stacy Evans, who use their nubile, California bodies as a means of fucking him into taking them to a Hollywood party later in the day. The stacked-up, doggy-style trade-off action in this one is quite nice, as is the rest of the fucky-fucky (oral--both ladies, vaginal--both ladies ; spurting pop-shot on Suiter's tummy and tits). In Scene Two, Jamie beds the "Betty Boop" of porno past, the extraordinary brunette, Desiree Cousteau, in a backroom at the party, all as Georgina Spelvin and Frank Hollowell secretly peek in from the doorway. Cousteau looks fantastic taking the "D" here, as she always did (oral, vaginal ; cum-shot on her chest, brief reinsertion). Scene Three finds one of the nieces, the bossy (...and beautiful...) Serena, drugging Jamie in her Vegas hotel room. He awakens nude in a cage, with her taking on the role of the full-on dominatrix, forcing him to lick her boots and fuck her through the bars. Once he's released, however, the tables are quickly turned, with Gillis violently taking her and forcing himself upon her. This one's a bit on the dark side, with the slapping, kicking, whipping, bondage, candle wax, and what not that follow...very harsh. Serena ultimately gets a lit candle stuck up her pussy (not the lit end, however), as Jamie finishes by beating off on her bush. Wow! In Scene Four, John Leslie survives a gauntlet of sports challenges to get into the uber-athletic Laurien Dominique's pants. He ultimately bangs Laurien (another of the nieces) in a hammock outdoors, upon a set of wooden stairs indoors, and over the back of a sofa. There are some exceptionally well-captured angles in this one, particularly in the hammock and on the stairs (oral, vaginal ; spurting load on her tummy, chest, and bush). Scene Five has Jamie seducing the young women's aunt, Georgina Spelvin, who's grown tired of her brother's crusading ways. They ultimately pound it out in a tribal-themed room at the family mansion (oral, vaginal ; ejaculation on her bush, brief reinsertion). In Scene Six, Paul Thomas gets on the good side of the super-gorgeous brunette niece, Lesllie Bovee, by playing into her vanity...and then taking her to his mirror-lined studio. The two eventually have it out right there on the spot (oral, vaginal ; pop on her bush). Scene Seven couples up Jamie and Serena again, this time in the role of her prior character's twin. Of course, this version of the lovely lass is far, far more virginal and appealing than the other one, and it takes a good deal of wining and dining before Gillis can get up under her dress at their secluded, wooded picnic together (brief vaginal). Definitely hot stuff from start to finish.
