Disc is a compilation of scenes from the Beaver Hunt series by Hustler. All scenes start the same, a little chat, the girls playing with a toy and their pussies, and then we cut back and forth between the solo play and the upcoming sex scene. All scenes are one on one and are really devoid of any actual smut that you'd expect from Hustler. What Ive found truly amazing about Hustler offerings are that they are actually kind of lacking when it comes to the sex scenes. Yes, there is attention to detail down to the really minute things, and yes, there are major production values, but other than that, the sex is tame. Smash turns out what's easily the best compilation I've seen from them so far. Every scene here is far above average, and brings together a beautiful collection of big butt babes. There's a nice variety to the action, with cream pies, anal, girl on girl, and cumswapping all to be found inside, but sadly nothing to let the viewer know where the scenes came from if they'd like to see more like it. The Sunny Lane scene here is one of my personal favorite scenes, and there's nothing wrong with Katrina Kraven or Camen Kinsley's scenes either. The technical aspects are well done, but as usual with compilations, there's no real effort put into the extras. This is a very nicely done compilation that can see the hill of greatness ahead of it. Seven Year Itch had a chance to be a very good porn flick. Instead, thanks to some overly-ambitious camera angles and poor editing, it ends up being just middle of the road. Director Roy Karch apparently feels he might just win an Oscar if he continues using distracting, unflattering camera shots during the action. Case in point, fiery redhead Pason is giving a great blowjob to Steve Hatcher in the fourth scene. But Karch shoots the action through a beveled window, distracting this viewer completely. Earlier, brunette Felix Vicious is romping heatedly with Jack Spade on a couch. Karch elects to show much of the action through the bottom of a nearby mirrored table. They're apparently known for their artistic take on pornography. The "Innocence" movies are filmed against an empty white background (I guess to symbolically represent innocence). It's a very stylized, romantic, dream-like way to shoot, very different than typical Red Light District style gonzo. The director Halle Vanderhyden seems to do porn for the MTV generation, with dozens and dozens of quick cuts and edits in every scene. European pornographic powerhouse Private being one of my favorite and most dependable studios and Michael Ninn being among my favorite directors I hoped their coming together might mean a marriage of all the best things American porn and European porn had to offer. Ok so my expectations were a little unrealistic. Perfect is an extremely good film, but not a great film. I was happy to see that Ninn had decided to go with widescreen. There are some phenomenal visuals and some classic Ninn sex scenes, but there are also some scenes that are way too short and unfocused. The cast is populated by a ton of veterans and rising stars, unfortunately we don't get to spend enough time with everyone. As many of Michael's critics often point out, he has a tendency to go for style over substance.
