The fifteenth volume of Jim Powers' unending coed series brings us yet another new Kelly. This time around Crystal Ray fills the shoes of the slutty coed who prefers giving head to hitting the books following the long list of adult actresses who have taken on the role. Honestly, at this point in time Powers might as just well turn the series into a wall-to-wall collegiate sex series. With seemingly a new Kelly for every volume now and this departure from any attempt at an actual plot to the series, the original branding of the Kelly the Coed series has been completely lost.

Powers has yet again been studying the most iconic film about college of all time National Lampoon's Animal House for ideas to poorly rip off for this series. And again he didn't come away empty handed, yet still managed to rip off the stolen elements in the worst possible ways — or maybe he is hoping that no one will notice that he has stolen these ideas. First off, Jay Ashley plays Bluto, a legendary frat hero. Does Powers then use this as a launching board for anything creative or even plot related? Long time viewers of this series already know both answers, no and the plot — well, do you really think there is any plot left in any of these entries. The second place where he unabashedly rips off National Lampoon's Animal House is when Kelly's father (Buck Adams) is talking with the Delta house frat boy Fitch (Alex Rox) and asks him if the Delta's still break beer bottles over their heads. Does this lead to anything comical or useful? Again, no. Just a ripped off moment to fill some of the scant non-sex space. And we will just ignore the fact that Adams was the basketball coach in Kelly the Coed 3 and Kelly's step-father in Kelly the Coed — Part 4.

For some reason, Powers keeps trying to hold onto the idea that this might be a feature movie. It isn't. There isn't anything that could be considered a plot. Nor does this even really qualify as a vignette series, as there isn't enough of a set-up for the scenes to even really qualify as a vignette. Basically there is narration by Kelly as the movie goes from scene to scene. There is some footage shot outdoors at a college, but for the most part it is just Kelly cheering in the quad in between the sex scenes. At least Powers is using locations over the bad sets he sometimes gets the notion to use. Although he really ought talk to the fraternity members at the locations he picks to learn about the Greek system and frats in general since Powers has made it clear in the fifteen volumes this series is now up to that he doesn't have a clue as to how any of this works. This is clear at the blowjob scene in the frat house. Powers actors are easily picked out from the actual fraternity members since Powers actors all have T-shirts that state “Delta” on them and all the actual fraternity members are dressed normally.

Sadly, not that I would expect anything great in this series from Powers at this point, he can't even manage to get the basic technical aspects of the movie done right. He manages to pump music over the dialog that he has written (or someone has written since there is no credited writer). The dialog isn't good, it is bad — very bad — but since he filmed the cast saying it he ought to not pump music over it. Powers seems to like pumping music over the movie though as he does the same over the sex scenes. He allowed the still photographer to photograph during the shooting and keeping the footage with the flashes going off in the final production. The acting is rather atrocious in the movie as well. The sex scenes aren't bad, but with the low production values, and lack of attention to any detail or the movie itself, it makes the movie not worth watching.

Heatwave has done an acceptable job with this release but it isn't likely to wow any viewer. Kelly the Co-ed 15 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The colors look good but the limitations of the video masters can be seen and there are glitches in the video.

Kelly the Co-ed 15 is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track which sounds like it is a monaural track that has just been pushed to both of the side front speakers. The audio is acceptable for most of the movie, however during the Delta house blow job contest the sound his horrific. I am not sure if this was a problem with the original master or something went wrong mastering this disc but the sound during this scene is unacceptable.

Heatwave has included a couple of extras on the disc. There is a behind the scenes piece that runs for a total of 23 minutes. The first 10 minutes are the behind the scenes footage. The remaining 13 minutes are called “Interviews & Extras” which consists of interviews of some of the female cast then the female cast member masturbating. Why these weren't presented as two separate features I am not sure. There is also a photo gallery on the disc. There is also a claim of She's a Brick House as enhanced DVD-ROM content, but all they have included is the trailer if you put the disc in your computer.

Kelly the Co-ed 15 brings us yet another new Kelly but the movie is the same old garbage that Jim Powers keeps recycling over and over and over again. As with most entries, this one is slightly worse than the one before it. Heatwave has done an acceptable job with the release.
