There is his trademark fixation with specific body parts on the girls, his perfect camera angles, his well-known close ups, his high-quality lighting, his "play through" style of directing, and his casual editing. He produces a very satisfying gonzo product. I first met Joey at the AVN show in Las Vegas this past January. I remember meeting him at the Evil Angel booth and immediately liking him. Review brief: Acid Dreams Directed by Michael Ninn Overall Impression This is Ninn's second live action feature film for Private. It has the burden of some relatively high expectations considering the success of "Perfect". "Acid Dreams" is not perfect if you'll excuse the pun. It has some very strong scenes, but is a very uneven film. I'm generally a huge Ninn fan as well usually impressed with so called "artsy porn". Unfortunately Ninn lost me with his constantly skewed yellow color pallet and effects that failed to compliment the sexual action. This disc does manage to produce a few quality scenes and a great find in Mercedes. Plot "San Fransisco 1965 and the CIA is using brain bending techniques to test the psychosexual extremes of their subjects. Mind control is the name of the game, and mind blowing chicks are the bait. Set against the background of the cold war, Washington is going all out to win the race for mind control supremacy.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants a lot of nasty sex Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very typical for John Leslie, and very different from pretty much everybody else out there. The audio is clear and well balanced, but there are a few minor background noises that fit into things very well.

Review brief: My Plaything Carmen Luvana Directed by Scott Taylor Overall Impression I was not sure what to expect from this installment of the "My Plaything" series. I know they were sticking with the new HD format they used in MP: Jenna Jameson 2. There were some serious improvements made in the last one, as well as some serious new problems. The other x factor for me was Carmen Luvana. I had only seen one of her titles, a couples feature for DigitalSin. I liked what I saw of her but would I like an entire DVD devoted to her? While the navigation is improved, there are some smarter camera decisions, the intro's are great, the outfits are great, the production values are top notch, and Carmen is a hot Latin lady. However this installment doesn't rate all that high on my all time list of "My Playthings". For starters I was a little disappointed by the complete lack of anal. I know, I know not every thing must have anal sex, but that is one of the reasons I love the series.

Review brief: A realitively new line in the "new girl" brand of porn is the Breakin Em In series, brought to you by one of the most accomplished studs in the business, Vince Vouyer, who is the producer/ director of Breakin Em In. This requires all new fresh young girls, or at least girls claiming to be young at first. The setup for each scene is that the girl walks into Vince's office (you never see Mr. Voyeur in this semi-first-person view), asks for a job, and then is "broken in" in the video warehouse. A very cheap and simple premise with absolutely no overhead, but not completely disappointing either. Most come in just wanting a job, and Vince does just that almost immediately. It gives an interesting insight to the adult industry, except I'm not sure that's really how the industry works. Review brief: Is there anything like a good orgy film? A film where some of your favorite adult performers come together to have a nice long sex romp? Such is the premise for Serenity's Roman Orgy, even if the Roman part of the orgy is rather quickly dismissed. This film is divided into two different orgies, each of about forty minutes with the same cast. The entire cast is dressed in Roman costumes, which look quite realistic, as does the Roman style set. However, this is only a pretense. There is not a drop of plot. A voice over makes mention of the Roman tradition of orgies, but there is not a word of dialogue in this film; it is 100 poure sex, and while personally, I would liked a film called A Roman Orgy to have a greater feel that this was truly in Ancient Rome, not just some actors pretending, the orgies themselves are very good. Some might say the presence of modern condoms also diminishes the moment, but I won't. The Ancients had birth control; we have some idea what it was, yet other methods are still mysteries. Could it be condom like? Possibly.

It has the burden of some relatively high expectations considering the success of "Perfect". "Acid Dreams" is not perfect if you'll excuse the pun. Unfortunately Ninn lost me with his constantly skewed yellow color pallet and effects that failed to compliment the sexual action. Review brief: My Plaything Carmen Luvana Directed by Scott Taylor Overall Impression I was not sure what to expect from this installment of the "My Plaything" series. I know they were sticking with the new HD format they used in MP: Jenna Jameson 2. There were some serious improvements made in the last one, as well as some serious new problems. The other x factor for me was Carmen Luvana. I had only seen one of her titles, a couples feature for DigitalSin. I liked what I saw of her but would I like an entire DVD devoted to her? While the navigation is improved, there are some smarter camera decisions, the intro's are great, the outfits are great, the production values are top notch, and Carmen is a hot Latin lady. However this installment doesn't rate all that high on my all time list of "My Playthings". For starters I was a little disappointed by the complete lack of anal. I know, I know not every thing must have anal sex, but that is one of the reasons I love the series.

Review brief: A realitively new line in the "new girl" brand of porn is the Breakin Em In series, brought to you by one of the most accomplished studs in the business, Vince Vouyer, who is the producer/ director of Breakin Em In. This requires all new fresh young girls, or at least girls claiming to be young at first. The setup for each scene is that the girl walks into Vince's office (you never see Mr. Voyeur in this semi-first-person view), asks for a job, and then is "broken in" in the video warehouse. A very cheap and simple premise with absolutely no overhead, but not completely disappointing either. Most come in just wanting a job, and Vince does just that almost immediately. It gives an interesting insight to the adult industry, except I'm not sure that's really how the industry works. The first scene features the lovely cover girl Foxy Jezel, a lovely 18 year old half-Thai, half-English girl with a delightful accent and an even stronger desire for sex, and she gets her fill.

Review brief: Is there anything like a good orgy film? A film where some of your favorite adult performers come together to have a nice long sex romp? Such is the premise for Serenity's Roman Orgy, even if the Roman part of the orgy is rather quickly dismissed. This film is divided into two different orgies, each of about forty minutes with the same cast. The entire cast is dressed in Roman costumes, which look quite realistic, as does the Roman style set. However, this is only a pretense. There is not a drop of plot. A voice over makes mention of the Roman tradition of orgies, but there is not a word of dialogue in this film; it is 100 poure sex, and while personally, I would liked a film called A Roman Orgy to have a greater feel that this was truly in Ancient Rome, not just some actors pretending, the orgies themselves are very good. Some might say the presence of modern condoms also diminishes the moment, but I won't. The Ancients had birth control; we have some idea what it was, yet other methods are still mysteries. Could it be condom like? Possibly.
