Up in Flames review summaries:
Flash's
Up in Flames is sure to disappoint any fans of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers who are looking for an adult take on the comic strip. Other than the names used, there isn't much to remind one of the comic strips. If you aren't looking for an adult version of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, Up in Flames is a cute adult film that is amusing and not a bad way to spend an hour. Impulse Pictures has done a good job with this release with a good image quality and good audio. [read the full review]

Devil In Miss Jones (VCX 40th Anniversary Edition) review summaries:
Big Raider Fan's
The Devil In Miss Jones is the 40th Anniversary Edition from VCX. This is a 2 disc set, presented in widescreen format. The transfer looks pretty good, considering the age of the film. The first disc contains the XXX feature, with optional commentary from Gerard Damiano, while the second disc has the softcore version. Worth having if you enjoy classic porn. [read the full review]

This is a classic film that I’m sure everyone has heard of. VCX has just released a 40th anniversary edition (never mind that it’s only 36 years old) in a special 2-disk “Definitive Collector’s Edition). Every porn fan should at least have an understanding of the classics and should view this film at least once. Porn has evolved greatly since DMJ was mad (and for the better, IMO). Devil In Miss Jones, The (Collector's Edition) review summaries:
Flash's
Devil in Miss Jones is a dark drama that is a must-see adult classic. The story of Justine Jones, who commits suicide and finds herself trapped in between heaven and hell, holds up well and the sex scenes and acting make this a true classic. This is an adult film that if you haven't seen it yet, it is time to correct that. Media Blasters has done an excellent job with their Definitive Collector's Edition two-DVD release through the Raincoat Theater line of Kitty Media of Devil in Miss Jones. The video and audio are in great shape and there are some excellent extras on the release. [read the full review]

Debbie Does Dallas & Devil In Miss Jones: Box Set review summaries:
Flash's
VCX's Ultimate Classic Collection combines two of VCX's most popular classic adult films Debbie Does Dallas and Devil in Miss Jones. Debbie Does Dallas continues to be an extremely popular adult film even to this day and is likely one of the best known of all adult films. The story of Debbie, a cheerleader, is one that transcends time and remains as fresh then as it does today. Debbie Does Dallas isn't the greatest adult film ever made but it certainly is fun to watch. If you haven't seen it yet and you are a fan of the genre, it is time to correct that. Devil in Miss Jones is a dark drama that is a must-see adult classic. The story of Justine Jones, who commits suicide and finds herself trapped in between heaven and hell, holds up well and the sex scenes and acting make this a true classic. Again, this is an adult film that if you haven't seen it yet, it is time to correct that. There are far better versions of the two films out on the market. [read the full review]

Maraschino Cherry review summaries:

"Maraschino Cherry" is an interesting release from 1978, Radley Metzger, and Video-X-Pix that, once again, appears that I'm going to be the only one who really likes it. That's not to say that it isn't without its flaws, of course. Indeed, this film--to a large degree--comes off as "trying too hard" to replicate the type of nonchalant, sexual action/attitude that pervades films like "Barbara Broadcast" and so on. Still, in many ways, it's enjoyable and sexy...enough so that I found it a worthy purchase. [read the full review]

Don't be fooled by the fact that this was directed by Radley Metzger, who directed such acknowledged classics as The Opening of Misty Beethoven. This film just doesn't come close to the level of Misty Beethoven, or Metzger's other efforts. The DVD was transfered from an extremely distressed print of the movie. This thing is simply terrible to look at, and there is little eroticism, despite the presence of the superstars of the era, including Leslie Bovee, Gloria Leonard, Constance Money, and Annette Haven. For example, Constance Money's scene consists only of a short handjob. About the only thing that saves this film from being a complete waste is the nasty, kinky S&M scene with C.J. Lang. NOTE: This is not your typical review. Others have done an excellent job reviewing the content, scenes, performances, etc. of this porn classic. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. MARASCHINO CHERRY DVD IS THE PITS! Radley Metzgers last hardcore effort under his Henry Paris nom-de-film is finally available on DVD from Video-X-Pix. Well, they saved the worst for last and by that, I dont mean from a content standpoint! While Maraschino Cherry is generally regarded as the weakest of that group of films, even Metzgers weakest efforts far outstrip those of most of his porn peers and successors, IM (and many others) HO. The Little Details Running Time: 67 min. Production Date: 1972 Director: Gerard Damiano Cast: Clair Lumiere (aka Judith Hamilton), Georgina Spelvin, Sue Flaken (aka Erica Havens), Harry Reems, Levi Richards, Marc Stevens, and Rick Livermore in sexual roles and Gerard Damiano and John Clemens in non-sex roles The Short Story Initial Expectations: This movie is a true classic thats come back time after time. I cant help but look forward to it. Initial Reaction: Although the DVD as a whole leaves plenty to be desired, the movie definitely deserves to be seen. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants real looking women and artistic porn Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants long sex scenes The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty well done. The audio is clear and well balanced, although some of the scenes only have music for audio. The video has a bit of grain, which is to be expected with a movie which was shot on film in the early seventies. [read the full review]
