Review brief: Love Asian Style Studio: AVE Format: Single Sided Starring: Some pretty Asian ladies and guys First Impression: I bought another DVD based on pretty girls on the cover and back. Oh why oh why do I keep falling for it? AVE is a notoriously terrible studio in regards to its asian movies. Review: On the cover, Dual language English and Chinese. So this movie is dubbed in both english and chinese. Thats right dubbed in chinese. The original langauge most likely is japanese. So hearing it in either language seems very odd. You don't get to hear the women's moaning. And from the sound of it they seem to have only hired two voice actors. A man and a women. So they do all the voice overs in both english and chinese. This was a rather plot driven movie, which the plot kinda sucks. This lady is hired to do sexual things for her friends. Well anyways, the action isn't too bad. But I can't seem to get past the bad dubbing. I really like hearing the natural moaning not this dubbed shit. That is a problem I've had with the AVE vcds i use to own.

Review brief: This film has the elements of being an excellent film, but unfortunately, due to the execution, the film ends up falling below average. The sex scenes are nice, but don't flow well with the rest of the film and there are costume and sex toy problems. If you are a fan of western theme adult films, you might want to pick this film up, but I'd recommend a rental or making sure the film was on sale before buying it.

Review brief: On display in the New Machine compilation Felicia Exposed is a six-scene selection of Felicias work with 4-Play and Evil Angel directors Ed Powers and Randy West. So right away you know what youre in for: six straight cheesy motel/bedroom sets, low-budget production values, a bunch of third-tier lookers, one-camera shoots, and a lot of cross talk with the director/cameraman. Of course, after a list like that, Im supposed to say, And lots of great sex!to punch it up with a little twist, you know. But Im not going to do that; not because its expected, but because it isnt true. Ed and Randy make films on the cheap and sometimes they work. A film like this gives you an idea why. In addition to the revolving door that constantly brings in new girls, there are those little interviews that begin each scene and which give the viewer a slight sense of who hes looking at. The formula succeeds because, in a porno sense, these young girls arent generally very experienced and dont have a lot to say: one scene is about all we need.

Initial Reaction: Its pretty hit or miss, with the hits being just as strong as the misses. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a light all girl feature with a decent balance between natural sex and toys Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants implants, girls going at it naturally, or girls seeing how nasty they can be Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear and decently balanced. I didnt notice any background noises, but some of the audio gets a little muddy and hollow at times. The video is also okay. Theres some natural lighting used in a few scenes that occasionally causes a few extra shadows, as well as bleaching out some of the colors.

Initial Reaction: This explosion is more of a dud than a blast. Who Should Watch It : Fans of internal pop shots Who Should Avoid It: Fans of high technical qualities Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear and well balanced. Theres a few background noises, but none of them overtake the scene with the exception of sometimes hearing the performers being given directions. The video is extremely grainy, looking a little worse than film when it isnt treated right. I know that some directors occasionally use filters to give scenes a little more artistic feel. I dont know if it was done here or not, but regardless it hurt the feature. The lighting is mixed, with much of it being natural lighting.

Review brief: The name Basket Balling is the best thing this one has going for it. Duh, guys have baskets (Yup) and they got balls. (You bethcha!) Unfortunately the same cleverness doesnt carry through to the film itself. If you are into feet you might want to pick this one up. Foot lovers know there are few enough films that cater to the delectable toe-suck as a prelude to sucking something larger. But if you are not into this particular fetish you wont get much of a rise here. The first scene features Corky Adams, who now goes by the name of Shawn Young (is this name twinkier or something?) discovered in a locker room with a sort of rough looking but uninteresting newcomer. They have a few lines of dialogue but it is so poorly miked and, as the echo of the empty locker room distorts it even more, we get only a bit of it. It is enough to know that the so-called straight guy with Shawn/Corky has never fucked his girlfriends ass. Would you believe Shawn/Corky volunteers for it? Well he does. But first he has to suck some dick.

The audio has quite a few background noises and the balance isnt always the best. The video shows some slight grain, and theres more than a few shadows and lighting changes in the scenes.

Bettina is as pretty & does have a very enchanting quality about her. Saying that, I can't say she's that great of a performer though. In all honesty, I was pretty bored throughout this Private Life of... installment. There's 7 scenes on the first disc & 10 on the second. Out of the 17 scenes on these discs, I can't say any of them really stood out in my opinion. A lot of the sex felt mechanical & even the orgies (which I like) did nothing for me. Gabriel Nine gives a much more elaborate take on this & I'd reccomend his review before I reccomended this title. He pretty much covers it all. I own a lot of Private titles myself so I knew what to expect, but even so, this all seemed rather tamed & boring.

Review brief: The series is one of private's bests, the only reason I am giving it such poor marks and it should be noted to those who like the tower series, that it doesn't contain ALL the scenes from the tower 2 and 3, it more like a best of. I was SO disappointed, it didn't have my favorite two scenes, one from tower 2 with a short woman with curly hair that sucks cock like a vacuum, and from the third one, the scene with the hot asian girl in the beginning. I don't now how they could fuck up like this, it one of privates best.

For all others, I recommend that you wait in hopes that someday VCX will allow another company to distribute their films and they will do a better job with it.

Review brief: Faust: The Power of Sex Directed by J.M. Ponce Overall Impression With all of the unbelievable talents involved like Belladonna, Sophie Evans, Rita Faltoyano, Nacho, ect, plus how good some of the screenshots looked, I figured that this had to be a solid, movie. Even after reading a two star review from possibly my most trusted reviewer aybesea. I still had to see for myself despite his obvious warning. It turns out he was 100 on the money. I guess it just goes to show how important a good director and a solid crew are for a successful feature. In my mind it just reinforces how talented directors like Adamo are. All the elements are here, for a terrific film. There is a star studded European cast, strong performances, and a seemingly huge budget. Although the picture quality is top notch on this dvd, and there are moments that are beautifully lit, there are quite a few moments when the lighting stinks. Ponce goes for mood and feel totally at the expense of the sex. The problem is the lighting is often so poor I have trouble appreciating the action.

Review brief: Expectations I have no idea of what to expect. There are two reasons that I chose to review this DVD. First, because I have never seen a Digital Playground feature and I want to check one out. This one came highly publicized, so it seemed an opportune time. Second, because I have never seen Devon in a flic and her stills are positively tasty. So I want to check this girl out and see what she has to offer. Capsule Review This is a very weird disc for me. First, it is seriously lacking in the porn department. I mean, the sex scenes are very short and scattered, and the sex is not at all dirty. Positively not my cup of tea. While Devon is a hottie, she might as well have been on Playboy. Anyway, the other weird part about this disc is that it is a well made movie. I mean, like a real movie. As you know, I NEVER watch porn for the plot... yet I ended up watching a fair amount of the story in this disc. Anyway, I will not review the plot for you.

Review brief: Expectations I have not been having great luck with Diabolic titles recently. I'm hoping that this one breaks the streak and brings me a pleasant surprise. Capsule Review The streak continues. This title is not bad, but it is far from the excellence that I expect from Diabolic. The girls vary significantly in terms of looks and sexual ability. The scenes are nothing special in terms of sets, wardrobe or performances. Looks like Diabolic is in a serious slump here. Technical This disc is acceptable from a tech standpoint, but it is nothing special either. Diabolic needs to examine their competition (e.g. Evil Angel, RLD or DVSX) because they are quickly becoming outclassed. Review brief: By looking at the scores you would think that this title is rubbish, and in many cases it is. But what the scores do not account for is the unique content of the film, which will attract many avid viewers. But the title does something more too in the process, and therefore is quite important to the industry in general. Let me explain... The industry is flooded with very similar titles by very similar companies that range in quality. Some are crap and cashing-in and others take the a new idea but apply their own style to it. Often, it is only by buying films from a range of studios that you can determine who is hot and who is not for yourself... For example, Hustler have high production qualities, but their films do not appeal to me because they are not gritty enough - more something I would watch with a girlfriend. Jules Jordan is an excellent example too as he has introduced many themes to the mass market that were either left for the niche market or not dealt with at all.

Review brief: Like Leisure Time's other feature, "Amateur Video - Public Sex In California", Public Pleasures is another limp effort to cash in on current popularity. This 4 hour DVD contains 18 scenes...about 2 scenes in which chancy public sex is involved (and even those, I'm not so sure about). The first 2 scenes depict the same woman stripping down and masturbating in a parking lot, then in a back alley. The camera pans around to show nearby cars and building, in an effort to portray authenticity. No other people are in sight...which leads me to believe these areas are pretty secluded, and the participants have no real chance of being caught. The rest of the feature contains mostly old footage from various other porn flicks. It's mainly a "greatest hits" of videos featuring sex outdoors...but not depicting any true element of risk. The bottom line: These are not "secret videos...of ordinary people" as it states on the cover.

Oh why oh why do I keep falling for it? AVE is a notoriously terrible studio in regards to its asian movies. Review: On the cover, Dual language English and Chinese. So this movie is dubbed in both english and chinese. Thats right dubbed in chinese. The original langauge most likely is japanese. So hearing it in either language seems very odd. You don't get to hear the women's moaning. And from the sound of it they seem to have only hired two voice actors. A man and a women. So they do all the voice overs in both english and chinese. This was a rather plot driven movie, which the plot kinda sucks. This lady is hired to do sexual things for her friends. Well anyways, the action isn't too bad. But I can't seem to get past the bad dubbing. I really like hearing the natural moaning not this dubbed shit. That is a problem I've had with the AVE vcds i use to own.

Review brief: On display in the New Machine compilation Felicia Exposed is a six-scene selection of Felicias work with 4-Play and Evil Angel directors Ed Powers and Randy West. So right away you know what youre in for: six straight cheesy motel/bedroom sets, low-budget production values, a bunch of third-tier lookers, one-camera shoots, and a lot of cross talk with the director/cameraman. Of course, after a list like that, Im supposed to say, And lots of great sex!to punch it up with a little twist, you know. But Im not going to do that; not because its expected, but because it isnt true. Ed and Randy make films on the cheap and sometimes they work. A film like this gives you an idea why. In addition to the revolving door that constantly brings in new girls, there are those little interviews that begin each scene and which give the viewer a slight sense of who hes looking at. The formula succeeds because, in a porno sense, these young girls arent generally very experienced and dont have a lot to say: one scene is about all we need.

Review brief: The name Basket Balling is the best thing this one has going for it. Duh, guys have baskets (Yup) and they got balls. (You bethcha!) Unfortunately the same cleverness doesnt carry through to the film itself. If you are into feet you might want to pick this one up. Foot lovers know there are few enough films that cater to the delectable toe-suck as a prelude to sucking something larger. But if you are not into this particular fetish you wont get much of a rise here. The first scene features Corky Adams, who now goes by the name of Shawn Young (is this name twinkier or something?) discovered in a locker room with a sort of rough looking but uninteresting newcomer. They have a few lines of dialogue but it is so poorly miked and, as the echo of the empty locker room distorts it even more, we get only a bit of it. It is enough to know that the so-called straight guy with Shawn/Corky has never fucked his girlfriends ass. Would you believe Shawn/Corky volunteers for it? Well he does. But first he has to suck some dick.

Ponce Overall Impression With all of the unbelievable talents involved like Belladonna, Sophie Evans, Rita Faltoyano, Nacho, ect, plus how good some of the screenshots looked, I figured that this had to be a solid, movie. Even after reading a two star review from possibly my most trusted reviewer aybesea. I still had to see for myself despite his obvious warning. It turns out he was 100 on the money. I guess it just goes to show how important a good director and a solid crew are for a successful feature. In my mind it just reinforces how talented directors like Adamo are. All the elements are here, for a terrific film. There is a star studded European cast, strong performances, and a seemingly huge budget. Although the picture quality is top notch on this dvd, and there are moments that are beautifully lit, there are quite a few moments when the lighting stinks. Ponce goes for mood and feel totally at the expense of the sex. The problem is the lighting is often so poor I have trouble appreciating the action.

Review brief: By looking at the scores you would think that this title is rubbish, and in many cases it is. But what the scores do not account for is the unique content of the film, which will attract many avid viewers. But the title does something more too in the process, and therefore is quite important to the industry in general. Let me explain... The industry is flooded with very similar titles by very similar companies that range in quality. Some are crap and cashing-in and others take the a new idea but apply their own style to it. Often, it is only by buying films from a range of studios that you can determine who is hot and who is not for yourself... For example, Hustler have high production qualities, but their films do not appeal to me because they are not gritty enough - more something I would watch with a girlfriend. Jules Jordan is an excellent example too as he has introduced many themes to the mass market that were either left for the niche market or not dealt with at all.

This 4 hour DVD contains 18 scenes...about 2 scenes in which chancy public sex is involved (and even those, I'm not so sure about). The first 2 scenes depict the same woman stripping down and masturbating in a parking lot, then in a back alley. The camera pans around to show nearby cars and building, in an effort to portray authenticity. No other people are in sight...which leads me to believe these areas are pretty secluded, and the participants have no real chance of being caught. The rest of the feature contains mostly old footage from various other porn flicks. It's mainly a "greatest hits" of videos featuring sex outdoors...but not depicting any true element of risk. The bottom line: These are not "secret videos...of ordinary people" as it states on the cover.
