Video Quality: Much better than one would expect of a twenty year old porno. There are few signs of pixelation. Music: Typical of early eighties porn. It's fairly well balanced, but there are a few spots where it's overpowering. Initial Expectations: '8 to 4' is one of the first pornos I can every remember watching, so I was hoping for a good treatment. Initial Reaction: Great transfer, but not much for extras.

I'm not at all sure that a clear and official delineation between "gonzo" and "wall-to-wall" has ever been made, so let's just go ahead and call this a wall-to-wall hardcore DVD. There's no impish director behind the camera going on about how much he likes butts, or pussies, or tits. And there's no downtime between scenes with the talent proving either how normal they are, or how cool they can be. And you're not going to find any pre-coital interviews with the girls. Instead, you're given six very hardcore anal scenes, and that's it. No filler. Of course, I see that as a good thing. Each of these scenes is preceded with about a minute worth of tease from the girls, then we cut directly to the sex. The first of which features Amber Michaels in one-on-one action with Alex Sanders.

Initial Expectations: I have heard a lot of really good things about Japanese erotica, so I expected a well made adult feature. I had also heard that a lot of people thought that it was quite sick, so I was a little uneasy about some of what I might find. Initial Reaction: Yep. That was different. Extremely well made, but not your usual porn. Review: At some point, I think almost everybody who watches American porn starts to get bored with it in some way or another and look for something different. One of the things I've heard a lot about that seemed like a good place to look for something different was Japanese erotica. Not really knowing much about it, 'Cool Devices' seemed like as good a place to try as any other.

Video Quality: Slightly better than average. Music: Fit the scenes and mood very good. Initial Expectations: It has to be better than the 'Avengers' movie that came out in 1998. I think Nici should do great in her role as Mrs. Peel, but I'm unsure about Wilde Oscar as Steep. I also expected some pretty heavy anal action. Initial Reaction: Fun! It made me realize again how bad the 'Avengers' movie from a few years ago was.

Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations The case notes this is a classic porn release, and briefly describes the plot. Most of the space on the back is used to list the extras included on the disc, and what a list it is, right down to the Dolby 5.1 sound. I don't have a Dolby 5.1 setup, so I can't comment on this. Too bad the case tells one how to find the bonus photos, half of the fun would have been searching around the various menus looking for the hidden tag. The Main Event This is a golden classis from the early days of Porn. It was produced in the early 1980's and stars the one and only Marilyn Chambers. She brings her own energy to any movie she stars in, which is just as hot now as it was the day she shot it. This movie is no exception. There are eight scenes total, with Marilyn appearing in a majority of those. Many of the scenes show actions we take for granted today, but were virtually unheard of back then.

Directed By: Randy West Up & Cummers, as a series, is pretty much a mixed bag and volume 68 serves as a good example of what it does well and what it doesn't do so well. I've always liked the "first time on camera" conceit of pro-am features. At the very least, they save us from typical scripted porn posturing and show us something we haven't seen before. That's pretty much the foundation Randy West's long running series was built on. This is presented well with a relatively clear picture and very sharp sound. But there's a downside to all this. Honest and sincere fucking doesn't always translate into good fucking. Let me explain. Volume 68 is broken into four segments. Of the four, only two are worth the price of admission. The first segment, for instance, is easily the best.

The picture is pretty good for most of it, but there's a couple spots where the picture gets really grainy. Music: Light classical for a lot of it. The music blends extremely well with most of the movie so that it isn't even really noticeable. The places when I thought to pay attention to the music it fit perfectly. Initial Expectations: I've heard that this is a great couples film. I think that Asia is one of the best adult actresses out there right now, but Adam & Eve hasn't had many high quality DVDs out there.

Video Quality: With the exception of the first scene, the picture is very clear with little sign of any pixelation. The first scene has several sequences that look like they were recorded on a poor digital camcorder. The pixelation is awful! The quality reminded me of still pictures taken with a bad digital camera. Music: Very good. It matched the many moods of the various scenes. Initial Expectations: Item #1 - Wicked has some of the highest quality DVDs out there.

Initial Expectations: I had fairly high hopes for Miss Jackie. I enjoy the borderline mainstream / fetish movies (such as Vivid's 'Extreme Sex' series) as they can nicely break some of the monotony of many mainstream adult films.

The Plots: The Adventures of Young Jim Powers 2: Jim Powers relates his second porno shoot (he would have done his first, but that involved his old sister, so that was out). The male talent was mouthing off, so Jim fired him and then had to take his place when none of the middle aged, overweight guys on the crew would take the place of the male talent. The Computer: Robbie needs a computer for work, but his father won't buy him one. On his way to try to find a job he finds a computer laying in the garbage.

There are some very different scenes in Taboo 18 that seem like they would be very difficult to film and the transfer does justice to the camera work. The audio syncs quite well to the video and also does justice to a job that does not appear to easy to do. The Plot: Tony Tedeschi plays a mortician who's wife (Chloe) has died in a car accident. A friend of hers (Missy) comes to pay her respects and takes her shoes with her. Tony follows her home and is drawn into a web of taboo fetishes that occur around Missy's house, gradually learning that the wife he thought was so innocent was at the center of it all. Review: I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when I started watching Taboo 18.

Review brief: 'Chameleons' is one of John Leslie's later creations for VCA.. shot on film with a substantial (if not great) plot and (for the time) good production values. It centers on Rocco Siffredi and Deidre Holland as a couple of shape-changers who can turn into any person they like if they drain their sexual energy; and on Ashlyn Gere as a woman who gets involved with them.. They first meet at an orgy-style party where one can briefly see a young and hot Sunset Thomas riding on hubby Zach. Deidre stands in a corner looking bored while being touched by another woman. Meanwhile Ashlyn goes to the bathroom and is interrupted by Deidre who suddenly turns into Rocco, the 'real' Rocco still having fun at the party. A sex scene follows between the two and there's quite some energy between them, Rocco finally shooting on Ashlyn's chin and breasts. After the orgy, on their way home, Rocco is grumpy since his energy has been partially drained by Deidre during her transformation... Things get worse when Ashlyn turns up again at their home.

The video is average and the audio echoes in spots, but is much better than other adult films of this age, such as the Original Debbie Does Dallas. The Review: Centerspread Girls kind of reminds me of my youth. It revolves around MOM trying to stop porn (or at least not let me have it). In this case, MOM is Morality Over Madness, a moral majority group which has been trying to shut down Panther magazine for years.

Review brief: I consider this as a feel-good and romantic gay porn movie. The best part is that the entire cast includes all new faces that bring a breeze of fresh air. Shot in Netherlands, the movie features all young and handsome Dutch actors. The DVD transfer quality is smooth, much better than those of Sunshine releases. Who may like it: People who like twinks, young and smooth bodies, into Europeans, foreskins. Also people who are of romantic type because the whole movie is accompanied by a background music featuring romantic piano solos and melodies that could be best played in a night with your date and candles lighted around you. Who may not like it: People who look for sweaty and raw sex may be disappointed. This may not be the movie for those who like body builder type of porn stars. Some movies do not list their cast members; this is unfortunately one of those. The movie tells a story about a young man who took an Erotic Stimulator pill and landed in the gay heaven and subsequently saw many gay sex scenes.

Review brief: Right from the start, let me say that CASHMERE is a great-looking movie and ana amazing production from VCA. This video directed by the one and only Michael Ninn occasionally goes overboard with the digital effects used throughout the various sex scenes, but unlike his previous efforts like SHOCK, LATEX and the highly disappointing NEW WAVE HOOKERS, they never distract or get in the way of the eroticism (his best work, DECADENCE and DIVA I through III have yet ato appear on DVD. However, I do have a aesthetic complaint about this film, which unfortunately cannot be helped due to the visual setting and theme of this movie. The powder white bouffant wigs which are placed on the head of every girl gets to be a bit much, and makes most of the girls lookalike. Costumes in adult movie are okay, but I prefer spiked high heels and stripper outfits and Victoria's Secret lingerie over period fashion designs any day. In any event, this early DVD release merely represent standard VCA excellence.

Review brief: Directed by Stuart Canterbury, SIRENS really cannot be described as a classic by any means, despite its VCA Classics description. With the (unfortunate) exceptions of Ron Jeremy and former gay actor Eric Price, none of the starlets in this shot-on- video feature are active in the porn industry today. And for porno newbies currently raised on a diet of SODOMANIA and GANGBANG GIRL videos, there may be very little reason to watch, let alone purchase, this rather straightforward, simple early 1990s release. However, for the old-timers like myself who recall when porn attempted to incorporate a story in their movies, and when gynecological close-ups of dilated sphincters were less than common- place, a viewing of SIRENS is almost refreshingly quaint. It also helps a great deal that this video features one of VCA's best former contract stars, namely the hard-bodied and devlishly sexy Selena Steele.

Review brief: "Easy" is a Golden Classic release by NuTech of a movie first released on film in 1979. The first thing that piqued my interest about this title was the prominent placement on the case saying all sex scenes are multiple angle. I was interested in where they found the extra footage and hoped this would be explained in the commentary. When the alternate angle icon showed up on the screen, I switched angles, to find that the "multiple angle" was merely the film reversed. There is no extra footage, and reversing the film has an interesting side effect, the lips don't match the voice. Throughout the rest of the movie, the angle icon becomes a constant reminder of the wool the studio tried to pull over the eyes of the viewers.Getting more into the action of the movie, this seems typical of 1970s porn and reminds me of Insatiable, another classic movie. Considering this is a film transfer, the video is surprisingly clear with good color reproduction. There are some visable flaws, but this look to be from the original film media, and not a side effect of being transfered.

The Main Event This is a golden classis from the early days of Porn. It was produced in the early 1980's and stars the one and only Marilyn Chambers. She brings her own energy to any movie she stars in, which is just as hot now as it was the day she shot it. This movie is no exception. There are eight scenes total, with Marilyn appearing in a majority of those. Many of the scenes show actions we take for granted today, but were virtually unheard of back then.

It centers on Rocco Siffredi and Deidre Holland as a couple of shape-changers who can turn into any person they like if they drain their sexual energy; and on Ashlyn Gere as a woman who gets involved with them.. They first meet at an orgy-style party where one can briefly see a young and hot Sunset Thomas riding on hubby Zach. Deidre stands in a corner looking bored while being touched by another woman. Meanwhile Ashlyn goes to the bathroom and is interrupted by Deidre who suddenly turns into Rocco, the 'real' Rocco still having fun at the party. Review brief: I consider this as a feel-good and romantic gay porn movie. The best part is that the entire cast includes all new faces that bring a breeze of fresh air. Shot in Netherlands, the movie features all young and handsome Dutch actors. The DVD transfer quality is smooth, much better than those of Sunshine releases. Who may like it: People who like twinks, young and smooth bodies, into Europeans, foreskins. Also people who are of romantic type because the whole movie is accompanied by a background music featuring romantic piano solos and melodies that could be best played in a night with your date and candles lighted around you. Who may not like it: People who look for sweaty and raw sex may be disappointed. This may not be the movie for those who like body builder type of porn stars. Some movies do not list their cast members; this is unfortunately one of those. The movie tells a story about a young man who took an Erotic Stimulator pill and landed in the gay heaven and subsequently saw many gay sex scenes.

Review brief: Right from the start, let me say that CASHMERE is a great-looking movie and ana amazing production from VCA. This video directed by the one and only Michael Ninn occasionally goes overboard with the digital effects used throughout the various sex scenes, but unlike his previous efforts like SHOCK, LATEX and the highly disappointing NEW WAVE HOOKERS, they never distract or get in the way of the eroticism (his best work, DECADENCE and DIVA I through III have yet ato appear on DVD. However, I do have a aesthetic complaint about this film, which unfortunately cannot be helped due to the visual setting and theme of this movie. The powder white bouffant wigs which are placed on the head of every girl gets to be a bit much, and makes most of the girls lookalike. Costumes in adult movie are okay, but I prefer spiked high heels and stripper outfits and Victoria's Secret lingerie over period fashion designs any day. In any event, this early DVD release merely represent standard VCA excellence.

Review brief: Directed by Stuart Canterbury, SIRENS really cannot be described as a classic by any means, despite its VCA Classics description. With the (unfortunate) exceptions of Ron Jeremy and former gay actor Eric Price, none of the starlets in this shot-on- video feature are active in the porn industry today. And for porno newbies currently raised on a diet of SODOMANIA and GANGBANG GIRL videos, there may be very little reason to watch, let alone purchase, this rather straightforward, simple early 1990s release. However, for the old-timers like myself who recall when porn attempted to incorporate a story in their movies, and when gynecological close-ups of dilated sphincters were less than common- place, a viewing of SIRENS is almost refreshingly quaint. It also helps a great deal that this video features one of VCA's best former contract stars, namely the hard-bodied and devlishly sexy Selena Steele.

Review brief: "Easy" is a Golden Classic release by NuTech of a movie first released on film in 1979. The first thing that piqued my interest about this title was the prominent placement on the case saying all sex scenes are multiple angle. I was interested in where they found the extra footage and hoped this would be explained in the commentary. When the alternate angle icon showed up on the screen, I switched angles, to find that the "multiple angle" was merely the film reversed. There is no extra footage, and reversing the film has an interesting side effect, the lips don't match the voice. Throughout the rest of the movie, the angle icon becomes a constant reminder of the wool the studio tried to pull over the eyes of the viewers.Getting more into the action of the movie, this seems typical of 1970s porn and reminds me of Insatiable, another classic movie. Considering this is a film transfer, the video is surprisingly clear with good color reproduction. There are some visable flaws, but this look to be from the original film media, and not a side effect of being transfered.

While they make the cake, they speak French and English. One thing that is eye catching is that they are nude with only an apron protecting them. They are mixing the cake mix with a silver dildo.
