CANDY STRIPERS ALL THERE Bob Chinns 1978 classic, Candy Stripers has been brought to DVD by Arrow Films, who has done a great job of restoring the film as well as giving us ALL of it (sort of). For those who havent heard, there are two infamous scenes in the film (both involving fisting) that have long been cut out for fear of the dreaded porn police. Both scenes are present on the DVD, but not in their original positions in the complete film, which remains edited in this presentation.

Review brief: Description This is a couples feature with condom use, and filmed in French, but with an English soundtrack option. A group of young men and women visit a friend in the countryside, and they wander off in pairs to have sex. General Impression It's beautifully shot, with both indoor and outdoor scenes, and the cast are very good-looking young people. The sex is also good, but slow in places. There's a positively dreamy, slow, languidness to a lot of the scenes. The women often seem very passive. And some scenes are abruptly interrupted, to continue later. It has a few things that I really liked -- for example, realistic tease. Not just women teasing the men, but the men teasing the women a little. And not "Spread your butt-cheeks, baby," tease, but natural tease like pressing up against each other, withdrawing a bit, giving an inviting look. Bruno SX, John Walton, Xavier, Pascal, Jean-Michel and others Cut to the chase: This is a French version of an Italian movie. The credits at the end are missing, so I'm not sure about ID's. I have no idea why the movie got this title, other than the fact that the original "La Femme Du Pecheur" did so well. At any rate, Jennifer Dior plays some kind of psychic who can transport people to their fantasies, or something like that. Angelica is her girlfriend/lover, and spends most of her time looking at Jennifer's photos. There are a couple of decent sex scenes in the movie, but it's really fairly bland. There appears to have been a little tracking problem during the mastering of the DVD, as we get an occasional line across the bottom.

Although I gave this one the same rating I gave to the last Chi Chi LaRue movie I saw (All About Steve), I personally liked this one much better. I've only seen a couple of gay porn movies before, and frankly I felt they were very heavily yang, with no yin. Many sweaty macho men getting it on. Okay, duh, right -- I've had a bit of alcohol, but bear with me here. This movie has a more relaxed humor, some boyish uncertainty, and some intimate, affectionate energy. Angelica is her girlfriend/lover, and spends most of her time looking at Jennifer's photos. There are a couple of decent sex scenes in the movie, but it's really fairly bland. The audio is pretty well balanced, but there are a few areas where the background noises creep into the scene a bit loud or where the interviews seem slightly out of balance.

Review brief: Description This is a funky Chi Chi LaRue feature. Ryan Yeager plays the title character, Jumper, an angel sent back to earth to do good deeds. General Impression Fun. Although I gave this one the same rating I gave to the last Chi Chi LaRue movie I saw (All About Steve), I personally liked this one much better. I've only seen a couple of gay porn movies before, and frankly I felt they were very heavily yang, with no yin. Many sweaty macho men getting it on. Okay, duh, right -- I've had a bit of alcohol, but bear with me here. This movie has a more relaxed humor, some boyish uncertainty, and some intimate, affectionate energy. This balance worked better for me. Sex Adam plays an uptight fashion designer, though he also has cute, wistful, worried eyebrows. Ryan goes home with him and sensuously wets his fingers to trace lines over Adam's chest, before displaying himself in Adam's jacket and asking how he looks in it. "Hot as hell," says Adam, wrapping his lips around Ryan's meaty unit.

Before, I've seen and had the pleasure to review "Heavy Metal 1" and I'll say now that Lexington Steele is one of my five favorite male porn stars.
