Angel X (Wicked) Review

Description
This is a couples feature with very discreet use of condoms. The bare plot involves Asia tutoring Kaylani in martial arts to fight the forces of Evil.

General Impression
Fun! It has a campy, mainstream feel, with a few zippy special effects, and a nice variety of sex scenes. The box cover reads, "A young woman must face her destiny, her past, and her future. An epic tale of sexual awakening." Tee-hee! It's not all that. Except in the comic book sense, and Michael Raven likes comic books.

The stage sets, costumes, make-up and camera techniques were impressive, the very decent musical score was written just for this movie (by Celina Mynx), and the girls looked great.

Sex
Asia Carrera, in traditional Japanese garb, has tea with Dillion, who has his hair shaved for a mowhawk, and a very convincing dragon 'tattoo' down the side of his head, neck, and shoulder. Wordlessly, they undress each other and Dillion does some aggressive pussy slurping. Asia worships his rod orally before saddling up and grinding on him. Not only was this scene erotic as well as hot, it was artfully filmed, with a nice balance of full-body shots and nitty gritty close-ups. We see vigorous cowgirl, doggie and spoon, before he squirts on her.

In an amusing between-sex-scenes snippet, Mike Horner pays a little visit as an other-worldly wizard who intones some mystical fortune cookie messages for Asia, "Soon is the time, for tomorrow is now." Take note, grasshoppa!

The second sex scene was hot, with Olivia Del Rio as the Empress of Light, wearing gauzy white exotica and gobs of rhinestones. Nick Manning is an evil Force of Darkness, but he has her fooled into thinking he is someone else. Mist rolls over them in their cloudlike bedchamber of lightstrings and paper stars and pink light. It's set up like a scene from a romance novel, but it's well done, and it's tongue-in-cheek fun. They play like two teasing tigers, haughty, and licking each other all over. One of the nice things about this scene is how wonderful it is to see a woman having sex, rather than a girl. Nick works her over with his tongue and fingers, then gets his dick sucked before a hard, pounding mish. He works up a dripping sweat in doggie and spoon. According to the storyline she got pregnant from what followed, but I don't see how. :-)

Kaylani and Asia practice their sparkly-flame martial arts moves in dry ice fog, and in slo-mo, before the candlelit girl-girl ritual. This is a slow and fluffy scene, and very, very pretty. They tongue-wash each other while keeping their toes daintily pointed. They enjoy themselves, though not passionately so. I was a bit snoozy, but my husband said he didn't mind watching it. At all. The scene has enormous visual appeal, and is for that reason one of the best girl-girl scenes I've seen.

The fourth scene is a gratuitous orgy in an underground dungeon, involving Nick's character in his true form as an ugly troll, with two anonymous thugs (Lee Stone and Jon West) and a bevy of goth-grunge generic blondes (Alexis, Lea, Lisa, and Brittney) having somewhat pointless and mechanical sex. Amusing moment -- Nick has to hold his WWF belt up out of the way in doggie!

After Kaylani masters the force to destroy the Force of Evil with a few fireballs, her true love, Dale DaBone materializes to sweep her away to a courtyard with a fountain, for a good boning. This scene is Lite Porn, sweet and easy, with a lot of posing.

Extras
The menu on the first disc has a wonderful little appearance by Mike Horner -- oh, how I wish they'd used that more! There's an audio commentary by Michael Raven and Kaylani, and interviews of them, a Director's Diary, 'Making of' feature, box cover photo shoot, and the usual star stats, galleries, bloopers, trailers, and Wicked promos.

Summary
An entertaining film, with a nice variety of sex scenes.
