Synopsis:
This is an all sex film with four vignettes that have minimal to no plot structure.

Audio/Video:
Fresh Meat 17 is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo track which works well for the material being presented in the film. As the film is all dialog and sex, there is no need for any fancy audio tracks. The audio is well balanced and can be clearly heard at all times during the film. Evil Angel hasn't included any foreign language tracks or any subtitle options for the feature film.

Fresh Meat 17 is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. The picture presented on the disc is in good shape, but not quite up to Evil Angel's normal quality. The picture is a little grainy throughout the presentation in dark areas. There are also occasional video glitches in the film. None of these are distracting nor do they detract from the presentation of the film. The color levels are correctly set.

Special Features:
Evil Angel has included a nice collection of extras to compliment the film. There is extra footage, which is 14 minutes of cut and unusable footage from all four of the scenes. There is a fetish menu with links to the portions of scenes that have blow jobs, anal, double penetrations and cumshots. There is the biography of John Leslie, which is an extensive text biography of John's adult film career written by John Stagliano. There is a photo gallery with 39 stills that you flip through yourself. The John Leslie Blues Band hides a three-and-a-half minute advert for his blues album In the Kitchen. It's a nice advert though as it has some footage of John Leslie playing at a venue. There are Evil Angel filmographies for all of the female cast members in the film. There are also trailers included on the disc for The Voyeur 26, Crack Her Jack, and Fresh Meat 16.

Disc Design/Navigation:
The disc is designed with simple animated menus with background music. There are 12 chapters available from the chapter menu. Each one is identified by a video clip, the chapter stop range it goes to and the female stars in the scene. There are 37 chapter stops within the feature film itself. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film.

General Review:
The first scene in the film starts out like it is going to be a sick Clive Barkeresque sex scene where David Perry and Michelle Wild go into the morgue and enter a room where the apparently dead and naked Sandy Style is lying on a table. The two have sex around her body and with her apparent corpse. For better or worse, depending on how you feel about how the scene was going, there is a twist to it that removes the nastier theme from the scene. Although I'm not into necrophilia, I was kind of disappointed with the twist as I rather liked the scene as it was going. Then again, if the scene had continued the way it was going I'm sure there could have been possible legal problems with conditions such as they are these days.

The second scene, with Juliana Kincaide, Aimee Taylor and T.T. Boy starts out with the two girls watching T.T. in the pool before the scene begins. Unlike the first scene, this scene, as with the other two that follow it, have no real vignette structure to them. I loved some of the sexual imagery depicted in this scene. My favorite is the part where T.T. Boy is standing behind Aimee with his dick between her legs and Juliana is in front of Aimee orally working on T.T.'s dick and Aimee's pussy.

The third scene takes place on a boat with Lucy Lee, Bob Terminator and Tristan Segal. Although this was a good scene overall, I didn't like Bob Terminator's constant and irritating laugh throughout the beginning and end of the scene. I'm not sure the purpose behind it and as far as I'm concerned, it didn't add anything to the scene, it only detracted from it. Other than that there are no problems with the scene. The fourth scene takes place in a house on a staircase and has Angel Long, Nyomi Marcela and Mark Ashley. The only problem that I had with this scene is that I found Nyomi to be a little annoying with her over vocalization of pleasure during the scene. She isn't as bad as Bob Terminator from the scene before, but she gets old fast. Other than that this is another great scene.

The cast looks good, especially the females in the film and all of the cast members appear to be enjoying themselves at all times. The sex contains harder themes, but they are presented in a lighter manner, making this film accessible to a wide audience. The sex looks great and contains some nice inventive positions, which adds some extra life to the film. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal and anal sex with male masturbation, blow jobs, anal fingering, pussy fingering, hand jobs, DP, pussy eating, vaginal toy use, P2M, and A2M. For viewers that care about condom use, there are no condoms used in the film.

The film is nicely shot, with a great combination of close, medium and longer shots and allows as many shots that allow the viewer to appreciate the beauty of the performers as to also enjoy the sex that is going on. The locations vary from excellent to average. The morgue is great and a location that I haven't seen before. The pool side location is nice and having an outdoor scene is always nice. The boat is unique and the stairway is similar to several we've all seen before but it works just fine for the scene.

Scene Synopsis:
The first scene brings us Michelle Wild, Sandy Style and David Perry. The scene starts out with David masturbating while he and Michelle caress Sandy. Fresh Meat 17 may be slightly nastier than some viewers are looking for but is tame enough that it should appeal to the majority of viewers out there. The film is well shot, innovative and a lot of fun. Fans of John Leslie or one or more of the stars should definitely give this film a try as I doubt that they'll be disappointed.
