review from 3/7/2017:
Director Alex De Renzy's 1977 film, BABYFACE, tells the story, and details the wild adventures, of a gentle giant named "Dan"(Dan Roberts), and how he ended up being the new hot commodity at a high end all male brothel, owned and operated by a woman called "The Champ"(Kathryn White). Via flashback, we lean just how Dan arrived at that point. [read the full review]

review from 2/27/2017:
Babyface is one of the best films that Alex de Renzy made with a good plot, some great sex scenes, and the weirdness that de Renzy tends to have in his older films. Vinegar Syndrome has done an amazing job with their Blu-ray/DVD combination pack release of Babyface with a stunning image, beautiful sound, and even some extras. This is a release that is definitely worth picking up. [read the full review]

Finding herself strangely (and a bit drunkenly) unsettled by her father's (John Leslie's) marriage to a younger woman in Virginia City, Desiree Cousteau (as "Peaches") races off down a canyon in her jeep, only to veer off of the road and crash...leaving her with a bad case of amnesia and a lost identity. Of course, it's just her luck that two low-life characters find her, steal her transportation, and exploit her for their own ugly purposes...setting off a cascade of difficult events for the young Desi that only seem to go from bad to worse. Such is the case in "Pretty Peaches", an exceptional, 1978 release from director Alex DeRenzy which has been remastered exceptionally well by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

review from 11/28/2016:
The fine folks at Vinegar Syndrome have cleaned up and re-released Alex DeRenzy's PRETTY PEACHES (1978) with the original 91 minute 35mm film intact and looking better than ever in all its wide screen glory. Bouncy and bubbly Desiree Cousteau plays Peaches, who takes a knock on the head then wanders about not knowing who she is, which is a recipe for horn dogs and other assorted sleaze bags to take advantage of her. No condoms but plenty of wacky dialog accompanying the sexual shenanigans in this xxx comedy concoction. [read the full review]

Emboldened by a female colleague's wanton activities, a newly-minted, cosmetic industry Vice President, the stunning legend, Lesllie Bovee, embarks upon a quest of sexual exploration and gratification around her home base of San Francisco. Given her rising station in life, she's in need of a trustworthy bodyguard to keep her safe, which she finds in the down-on-his-luck smooth-talker and former Navy boxer, John Leslie, who pretends to be gay to get the job. Of course, John's charade, coupled with both of their prurient proclivities, results in a powder keg that's simply bound to explode...in all manner of fucking. Such is the case in "Champagne for Breakfast", a very good, 1980 release from Chris Warfield and re-mastered by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

Flash's
review from 6/12/2016:
The 70s brought us some great new takes on classic fairy tales turning them into erotic romps but Serena: An Erotic Fairy Tale was not one of these. Instead, this film went the route of being a quickly churned out film to capitalize on the name of the main star Serena. The plot is essentially non-existent, the sex scenes are tepid, and the entire film comes across as lazy. Impulse Pictures has done a decent job with their release. [read the full review]

Golden Age Media's release of the Desiree Cousteau Triple Feature contains the films Getting Off, Pretty Peaches, and Summer in Heat. Getting Off is a rather standard loop carrier by Ed DePriest, and Pretty Peaches is an enjoyable feature by Alex de Renzy, and Summer in Heat is an enjoyable film from Christy McCabe. Whether the Desiree Cousteau Triple Feature is right for you depends on what film(s) you are interested in from the three film collection. All three films appear to be sourced from 3/4 video masters. Getting Off has decent video quality but problematic audio quality, Pretty Peaches has poor video and audio quality, and Summer in Heat has decent video and audio quality. [read the full review]

One of the greatest porn flicks ever, Alex de Renzy's BABY FACE (1977, TVX Home Video-2006) tells the story of a big lug named Dan (Dan Roberts) who is on the lam from not only the cops but also a pissed-off Mom named Molly (Mary Eaton) who catches Dan fucking her sex-crazed daughter Priscilla (lovely Lyn Malone) early in the flick. Director de Renzy and screenwriter John Mulligan bring this trio together for the nutty finale that takes place in a San Francisco brothel where Dan has been hiding out. An overall-good, 1978 release from director Paul Levis and the Alpha Blue Archives, this flick starts out for all the world looking like it's going to have an exceptional plot...the car chases, character development, intertwined storylines, etc. ... but then, somewhat randomly, gives it all up midway through and wraps everything with a massive orgy at a disco. review from 5/14/2006:
As with the TVX release of (Anna) Obsessed, the film "For The Love Of Pleasure" and the TVX release of said film are very different, so different in places that when watching the uncut version it almost feels like a new movie. That said, the following is a review of the original uncut version off of a 1986 Essex Home Video tape. Anyone even marginally familiar with hardcore films of the 1970s has undoubtedly heard of Annette Haven and Jamie Gillis and as familiar as I am with their work, their roles in this 1979 film has always seemed a bit odd, even by 70s hardcore standards. The plot: **HEREIN MAY LAY SPOILERS** Jamie Gillis is Simon, a down on his luck, petty thief who makes the mistake of breaking into the home of a woman who, upon seeing him, forces him to have sex with her then shoots him to death when her husband comes home. It should be noted that Jamie keeps his gym shoes on throughout the entire sex scene... Gillis ends up in the afterlife where he is greeted by Annette Haven (God?) who provides him with an endless supply of women, food, and finery. [read the full review]

John Seeman and his wife, Tracy O'Neil, have been lying to one another for years, pretending to be something that they're not, particularly as it pertains to their sexual desires. Indeed, each has decided that the other is solely interested in a "saint", while they're both secretly yearning to be sinners. When--and how--the sexual dam that holds back their wants and needs will ultimately break is anyone's guess, but one thing is for certain: break it will.
