Review brief: Make sure you have good, strong batteries in your remote when you view University Coeds #21. Youre going to need them. Not that the sex is bad here. In fact, its pretty good, and includes some hot girls. But the looooonnnggg interviews and setups are boring and tedious. Also unnecessary. Take, for example, the first girl, cute blond Jodi Roxx (billed as Jodi Roxxx). She sits through an eight-minute interview, telling us about her age, hometown, first kiss, first sex, and a bunch of other asinine, inane questions. Then there are 15 minutes of setup (highlighted by some of the worst acting in porn history) to the story before she and Brandon Iron get to the inevitable screwing. Thats 23 minutes before we see lips touch dick. Zzzzzzzzzzz. After the usual three-position fucking, he comes on her face. 23 minutes to get to an eight-minute sex romp. The second scene is much of the same. Six minutes of yacking, ten minutes of preliminary (again, terrible acting).

Review brief: My Best Friends Wife is a fun, sexy flick that should probably be best left to couples that dont take their porn too seriously. Inari Vachs has been seen in hundreds of movies, but I cant recall her using such an intense Southern drawl as here. Shes married (unhappily, we learn) to Anthony Crane. His hilarious accent is right out of the Ozarks. The movie starts with the two of them in bed. They screw ending in a facial. Across the street is Michael J. Cox, who watches Vachs and Crane through a telescope. His wife, lovely Lola, convinces him that sex in their own home can be as exciting as their neighbors. Lola resembles the mainstream actress/comedian Sandra Bernhard, but much cuter. **It appears the makeup artist for this movie was asleep during Lolas blowjob, as her face appears to have been streaked by a previous facial. Review brief: Description This is a two-disc release of three of Wakefield Poole's pioneering feature films from 1971 to 1986, plus several of his short films of the era, a long interview, and other extras. General Impression For me, this had great value as an historical artifact, partly because I can remember this time period. I was 12 in 1969, when Poole began filming. I lived an hour from San Francisco, and went there regularly, picking up copies of the Berkeley Barb and soaking up the ambience. Our junior high buried a time capsule in 1970, to be opened in the year 2000. We dropped into the capsule a pair of bellbottoms and a Jacksons album, among other things. I was born a moment too late to be on the cusp of many of the changes that took place, but I observed them anyway. I had always heard that Deep Throat was the first feature length hard-core movie.

Review brief: Whoriental Sex Academy 2 is among the finest Asian flicks I've seen. The cast includes cuties like Kamiko, Catalina, Mia Smiles, Poison Envee, and buxom Kirsty Lee. What these women have in common, aside from tight bodies and silky skin, is girlish enthusiasm, which invariably adds an important dimension to their sex appeal as performers. It's always easy to tell when a performer is not enjoying herself: the sex ends up being dull and lackluster, and the viewer finds himself doing little more than fast-forwarding the picture. Not so in this movie. In scene one Kirsty Lee appears in a sexy black corset that gradually comes off as she happily gets it on atop a desk. Scene two showcases Kamiko adeptly handling two guys and culminates in a great DP scene. The third scene is another desk-top encounter, though this time it's with Poison Envy, whose small shapely breasts bounce memorably as she rides away in reverse cowgirl. Review brief: Description This is a collector's edition release of the 1996 Jenna Jameson movie Conquest. I didn't see the original version, but this one has added extra features. General Impression It's fun to watch, the sort of swashbuckling pirate adventure that they used to show on Saturdays at the elementary school auditorium when I was a kid. Well, not quite! This one has less plot and more sex. They spent a lot of money on this movie, and it shows. But they weren't too careful about historical accuracy. That's okay, though. Part of the fun of the movie is giggling over the I Dream of Jeannie hair and fake eyelashes, the shaved pussies, the shiny hair scrunchy, the thong tan lines, and so forth. The plot is going to lose you a bit at first -- not because it is complicated, but because quite a bit of the dialogue is mumbled or at low volume, and the characters speak of several people without any explanation of who they are talking about.

Given a choice between not doing a review at all and just giving a brief sketch of the movie, I opted for the latter. I don't know a fair way to set the value for the movie. Gay movies are priced too high, so I plan to always list the value as $25.00. General Impression Shot on location in Tuscany, this movie has a strong emphasis on aesthetics - beautiful settings, beautiful music, and good-looking men. The rather sweet music is a good fit for the tempo and spirit of the scenes, and was not generally too loud -- the natural sounds were still clear. The characters are mostly 'farmboys' who have very nice haircuts and are sauna-scrubbed and squeaky clean under those shirtless overalls. I almost want to call this one The eye-contact movie, as they seem to have had a lot of fun with that, as well. The plot, such as it is, involves an interloper who visits a small village and witnesses or joins a few sexual encounters.

Music: The music is pretty typical for mid nineties porn, but is nicely balanced with the rest fo the audio.

So heres the idea as described on box: "In the year 2120, a clairvoyant scientist [Teri Weigel], with a curiosity for the history of sex, experiments with time travel. By caressing objects from the past she is transported throughout the eons to experience first-hand the carnal pleasures of eras long gone." Sounds good but now lets see how it was put to video. First of all, we have "clairvoyant" Teri Weigel (yes, they actually used her name as the main character) in the year 2014, working out of what appears to be some basement room. (So what happened to that bit about it being 2120?) She zips herself into a latex bodysuit, puts on some rose-colored goggles, sits down on a modified dentists chair, and plays with certain artifacts until she "vibes" into that period of time.

Review brief: You know, if a sex scene isnt scorching it should at least look like fun. Free Ride has both: a fun scene with Asia Carrera and Steve Hatcher and a hot lesbian encounter featuring Dee and Mia Smiles. It also has three other scenes that arent particularly one or the other, but which arent any worse than average, either. So director Bud Lee hits .400 with this one, and thatll keep him in the majors. If you care, Free Ride is a ghost story about a woman blamed for defiling a rich familys son and forever afterward cursed to walk the same stretch of road until she should witness true love. Or something like that. It even makes a certain amount of sense up until that lesbian scene, when for some inexplicable but wonderful reason Asia Carrera, the ghost, suddenly turns into Mia Smiles. In any case, it all gets started when Randy Spears and Shaena Steele meet pretty Asia on a lonely backcountry road. The first scene, the fun one, is Asias explanation of how the curse came about. Steve Hatcher is the beloved son; Asia is the star.

Review brief: I had decent expectations of this movie following a good review of the first film in the series, but mainly because of the picture of the delectable Brianna Blaze on the box cover. The title is supposedly an indication of how these fresh faced young girls take on big cocks, but this is really the pretence for most gonzo movies and so there is little different to be found here. The opening vignette sees oh so cute Brianna, jiggling for the camera in white underwear and black high heels. Brianna just has that certain something, perhaps its those smouldering eyes or maybe that irresistible girl next door look, and those perfect breasts of course. A beautiful sight, and a great way to begin the movie. We then cut to the opening scene where we see her wearing a strapless top and denim skirt, viewing a house with owner, Brett Rockman.

The video helps give the feature a bit of an artistic feeling without getting too carried away. Music: The music is a bit on the loud side, but its unique and pleasing to the ear.

For example, when watching the DVD "Sex Shot," I compared those scenes of Laura Angel directed by Antonio Adamo with Lauras extra scene shot by Frank Thring. The latter contained the raw and unscripted sex that was unfortunately lacking in the former. (I admit that Laura was prettier and younger in Thrings work). Having preferred Privates earlier smut, I havent given their new stuff much of a chance. However, having been one of my favorite producers of porn over the years, I decided to give them another try: I picked up a copy of "Private Xtreme #9, Wet Young Bitches." It had come recommended to me, and after viewing the film, I found myself pleasantly surprised. The sex, although sometimes still too choreographed for my taste, appeared spontaneous and dirty, peppered with a lot of nasty sex acts. Review brief: Description This is a two-disc release of three of Wakefield Poole's pioneering feature films from 1971 to 1986, plus several of his short films of the era, a long interview, and other extras. General Impression For me, this had great value as an historical artifact, partly because I can remember this time period. I was 12 in 1969, when Poole began filming. I lived an hour from San Francisco, and went there regularly, picking up copies of the Berkeley Barb and soaking up the ambience. Our junior high buried a time capsule in 1970, to be opened in the year 2000. We dropped into the capsule a pair of bellbottoms and a Jacksons album, among other things. I was born a moment too late to be on the cusp of many of the changes that took place, but I observed them anyway. I had always heard that Deep Throat was the first feature length hard-core movie.

Review brief: Whoriental Sex Academy 2 is among the finest Asian flicks I've seen. The cast includes cuties like Kamiko, Catalina, Mia Smiles, Poison Envee, and buxom Kirsty Lee. This one has less plot and more sex. They spent a lot of money on this movie, and it shows. But they weren't too careful about historical accuracy. That's okay, though. Part of the fun of the movie is giggling over the I Dream of Jeannie hair and fake eyelashes, the shaved pussies, the shiny hair scrunchy, the thong tan lines, and so forth. The plot is going to lose you a bit at first -- not because it is complicated, but because quite a bit of the dialogue is mumbled or at low volume, and the characters speak of several people without any explanation of who they are talking about.

General Impression Shot on location in Tuscany, this movie has a strong emphasis on aesthetics - beautiful settings, beautiful music, and good-looking men. The rather sweet music is a good fit for the tempo and spirit of the scenes, and was not generally too loud -- the natural sounds were still clear. The characters are mostly 'farmboys' who have very nice haircuts and are sauna-scrubbed and squeaky clean under those shirtless overalls. I almost want to call this one The eye-contact movie, as they seem to have had a lot of fun with that, as well. The plot, such as it is, involves an interloper who visits a small village and witnesses or joins a few sexual encounters.

Review brief: I had decent expectations of this movie following a good review of the first film in the series, but mainly because of the picture of the delectable Brianna Blaze on the box cover. The title is supposedly an indication of how these fresh faced young girls take on big cocks, but this is really the pretence for most gonzo movies and so there is little different to be found here. The opening vignette sees oh so cute Brianna, jiggling for the camera in white underwear and black high heels. Brianna just has that certain something, perhaps its those smouldering eyes or maybe that irresistible girl next door look, and those perfect breasts of course. A beautiful sight, and a great way to begin the movie. We then cut to the opening scene where we see her wearing a strapless top and denim skirt, viewing a house with owner, Brett Rockman.

For example, when watching the DVD "Sex Shot," I compared those scenes of Laura Angel directed by Antonio Adamo with Lauras extra scene shot by Frank Thring. The latter contained the raw and unscripted sex that was unfortunately lacking in the former. (I admit that Laura was prettier and younger in Thrings work). Having preferred Privates earlier smut, I havent given their new stuff much of a chance. However, having been one of my favorite producers of porn over the years, I decided to give them another try: I picked up a copy of "Private Xtreme #9, Wet Young Bitches." It had come recommended to me, and after viewing the film, I found myself pleasantly surprised. The sex, although sometimes still too choreographed for my taste, appeared spontaneous and dirty, peppered with a lot of nasty sex acts. Spitting and both boy-to-girl and girl-to-boy rimming were commonplace.
