Service Trade: Director's Expanded Edit Review

SERVICE TRADE from Titan Studios appears in two versions: a one-disk version sold everywhere and a two-disk Director’s Extended Edit sold only on their web site and at TLA. The first disk is the same in both versions and contains the film. The second disk has an added scene that was not used in the film, extensions of two other scenes, and a watersport sequence omitted from the second scene in addition to other must-haves.

THE FILM.

The film has three positively scorching scenes and one disappointing one. But the three scorchers are more than enough to make this one to get.
As the film opens we see Jace Hunter, a mature stud with white hair who looks very much the head of an international business, talking on the phone in German. We cut to Titan’s favorite superstar (Ben Jakks) who has just arrived from London, calling Jace on a cell phone as the bellhop (Joe Foster) takes his bags from the car. Ben—if you don’t know him from his many appearances for Titan—is quite a hunk. Of mixed African and English heritage, Ben is built like the proverbial brick shithouse. Not only is he quite handsome, but he also looks sharp and intelligent. He is indeed the stuff of which porn superstars are made. Having taken the bags to the room, Joe has removed a pair of Ben’s briefs from the suitcase and is getting a hard-on sniffing them. Ben is not the least disturbed in finding him doing this, and decides to give him the real thing. So begins the sensational first scene. Joe is a perfect counterpart for Ben. He, too has a nice—though less muscular—build and to describe his cock as “succulent” is to underrate it. His balls are large and tight. Ben does both full justice. Rick Rivera and Dante Foxx are at work on the unfinished building when Danny arrives. Once there he does what we all do when we visit a construction site—take off our pants. Clad only in his shirt and socks with his dick leading the way, Danny drops down by a large hole in the uncompleted wall and watches Rick take a piss. At this point in the film, Titan was batting a thousand with three positively scorching scenes and I was sure I was going to give this a 5-star rating for the sex. But then came scene four.

The Alex Leon scene begins with Jace telling Alex that he has something for him that will sweeten their deal. That something is Jon Galt bound to a table. Alex takes a large rubber strap and gently slides it over Jon’s body. The only discomfort here would be tickling. He gives the gentlest little love pats to Jon’s cock. It’s a faux leather scene, very vanilla in its treatment. Alex signs the contract and strips off to reveal himself in a leather harness. Jace follows suit—or lack of suit—and he’s in harness, too. Alex fucks Jon. But it has no passion. For the first time viewing this film, I was bored. The only thing of interest is Alex’s cum shot. A tremendous long distance volley done in slo-mo. A repeat of this magnificent cum shot ends the film.

BONUS DISK (Director’s Cut Only)

A deleted scene with Ben Jacks, Joe Foster, and the incredibly beautiful young bear, Matthew York. There was a problem with the pressing on both copies I viewed and the scene could only be viewed at 2x speed (at normal play it resembled a cubist painting so if you have trouble viewing it put it on 2X. It still wouldn’t play on one of mine.) Of particular interest is that it was offered with or without the directors’ commentaries. It begins with Matthew lying on his back being boffed by Joe. Jakks is sitting in a chair jakking his dick. Joe and Matthew take turns fucking Matthew as he leans over a chair. He sucks the cock of the one who is not fucking him. The directors are correct in that the scene is far inferior to the scintillating one with just Ben and Joe that was used. Yet part of the problem was that Matthew was not photographed to his best advantage. Matthew’s glory is his furry chest. He should be fucked missionary never doggie and should always be photographed allowing us to ogle his hirsute glory. He would have been breath-taking in that "fuck chair"! Thus his photo session is hotter than anything here. I pray that Titan will continue to use this gorgeous specimen of male beauty and will do better by him in the future! There is also a short bit on the bonus disk with Owen rimming Rick prior to the fuck in scene three.
Parts cut from the Jace-Leon-Galt scene are also here. Jace gets into the action and the scene ends as it should have with Jace and Alex cumming on Jon. Leaving this in would have helped that scene enormously. It is good to have it here as it’s probably better than what was left in.

WATERSPORTS SCENE:
Both Rick and Dante piss in Danny’s mouth. It would have been such a fitting conclusion to the scene to have had it in it’s proper context. But this is real watersports, folks, and not just urination. WOW! We can also choose viewing the scene from two different angles. My advice is to view first with angle 1 and then view it again using angle 2 rather than jump back and forth.

One of the highlights of all these extended versions is Brian Mills’ PHOTOSHOOT.
And here is where we get to see Matthew York to better advantage than he is in the deleted scene. Mills is a top-notch photographer and it's fascinating to see him at work. Of course we have to hold our envy at bay when we watch him perform this ideal job.

Most times I tell people that the extended editions are not worth the extra bucks. But here—even with the flaw in the Ben-Joe-Matthew scene—this extended version is worth it.
