Review brief: Unfortunately I can't recommend this film to anyone. The end result is a mangled mess that, despite the decent sex scenes, becomes a chore to watch. As for the diehard Private fans, I recommend that you rent this film before buying to make sure that it is really something that you want to grace your disc shelves. If you are only interested in the sex scenes, this film may be salvageable, but beyond that, it is a waste of the plastic it is encased in.

Review brief: With My Dad's Dirty Movies - Volumes 1 & 2, Adam & Eve has put together an interesting compilation, which will make a good rental for those wishing to watch it for nostalgia purposes or those curious to see what the modern adult film evolved from. This is probably nothing that most people would want to purchase, unless they find it very cheap as rewatchability is really low. Those who require good production values, a plot or nasty sex will want to avoid.

Review brief: Sorority Sex Kittens - Part 1 is a good movie to purchase or rent if you like lighthearted plot-based films and films with a sorority/college theme. Since the story continues in the next disc in the series, I would recommend purchasing or renting this one with its sequel Sorority Sex Kittens - Part 2. If the story really matters to you, you also would probably want to rent or purchase Sorority Pink and Sorority Pink 2 since they hold the origins of the storyline. I would recommend those that don't like a plot to slow down their porn pass on this one.

Review brief: Due to the video problems if you are a fan of the film or it sounds like a good movie to you, you probably want to wait and hope that a better version of it gets released in the future. As this is a limited edition release it will eventually leave the market and anther company may re-release a better print of it. If you are still considering purchasing it, I suggest that you rent it first so you can see how bad the video problems are before you purchase so you don't end up disappointed.

Review brief: Caligula is a mainstream film with graphic sex, not a typical adult film and that should be taken into consideration before purchasing or renting. If you are looking for a film to get stimulated by or get off on, this is not the film to do it. If the film sounds good to you and you are not squemish or easily offended I would recommend this film be rented before purchasing. Caligula is also available in an hour and 42 minute R-rated cut from Image as well, which has had 48 minutes removed from it. I have never seen the R-rated cut so I can't comment on it's continuity.

Review brief: Taboo is one of the true adult classics from the golden age of adult films. Taboo combines a tawdry tale of family love with a great cast, good story, and an overall nice looking production to create a film that has stood the test of time in the annals of adult films. If you haven't seen it, Taboo is a must see and if you are a fan of the classics, Taboo is one that you will want to add to your collection. VCX's limited edition release of Taboo is disappointing with acceptable video quality.

Review brief: After a poor first half, Dangerous Obession picks up and ends up with a very decent second half. Due to the plot problems I have trouble recommending this film to anyone. If you are patient and are willing to watch this film twice it will be worth your time. Don't be fooled by the limited edition tag on the case and feel like you have to pick it up fast. There are few special features on the disk, nothing to justify calling it a limited edition and probably on the regular edition, when released, the only change will be a shortened behind the scenes feature. I definitely don't recommend this film to anyone who doesn't like plot based adult entertainment. New Era has done a good job with their Limited Edition DVD release of Dangerous Obsession.

I-Candy has done a good job with their DVD release of N*U*R*S*E*S of the 407th.
