Synopsis:
The Chinese Triad sends a female hit squad, the Daughters of the Dragon, to get back the Jade Goddess from Private Investigator Peter Magnum. Also two crooks, who had been caught and arrested in an earlier movie with the Jade Goddess by Magnum, come for him after they escape from prison.

Video/Audio:
Daughters of the Dragon is presented in a full frame, 1.33:1, aspect ratio. It looks like it was shot directly on video, not onto film. This presentation of the film is in good shape. There are few to no picture blemishes present. The color levels are good and the images are sharp.

The available audio track is an English 2.0 Stereo track with Cantonese portions. The audio is clear and easy to hear. There are subtitles burned into the film in English for the Cantonese spoken portions of the film. There are no other language selections available and there are no other subtitle options.

Special Features:
There are seven chapters available for the film one for each sex scene, which don't allow for easy navigation to most of the film. The available trailers are for Jade Goddess, Naked Angels, Blonde Fury and Daughters of the Dragon. Behind the Scenes Footage is a 29 minute piece showing how Daughters of the Dragon was filmed and the work that went into making it. Main Menus Translated into Five Languages is exactly what it states, the menus are translated only, the film still plays with the English language track.

Although this disk doesn't have much in the way of features, what is here adds to the value of the disk since so much of it has to do with the feature film. It is also nice to have the trailer for Daughters of the Dragon present on the disk, something I wish more companies did, especially with the older films that had theatrical trailers.

Review:
What do you get when you combine legendary adult film writer/director Bob Chinn, legendary adult film star Herschel Savage and adult film funny man Anthony Crane? You get a well written massively plot driven adult film. This is the third, and supposedly final, film in the Jade Goddess series from Bob Chinn (the first two, in order, being Jade Goddess and Naked Angels) which he has done a great job with. This is a very cheesy film, but in a fun way. Large amounts of humor have been added to the script including the parts of the American Crooks Blake and Moretti, Anthony Crane and Kyle Stone, who are the comic relief for the film.

The cast is attractive and does a really good job with their material. Some of the best casting choices in the film are Anthony Crane, Kyle Stone, Autumn Haze, Herschel Savage and Tina Tyler. Unfortunately, Chinn made some very poor casting choices with Lee Stone and Dee. Lee Stone and Dee may be fine for non-plot driven films, but do not have the acting range necessary for this film. This is an especially poor choice with Lee Stone since he has a major role in the film, and the series from which it comes. They both look very out of place here.

The music used was very good. It didn't have the normal adult film sound to it. The sets were well done. As per Bob Chinn's usual, the photography in the film is beautiful. The sex scenes are really well done with a little something for everyone thrown in. The scenes feature anal, DP, and a few scenes with three or more people in them as well as your standard scene material. Some of the sex scenes don't feature condom use, so fans of no condoms will be especially happy with those scenes.

The Money Shot:
Although this is a very good film, it is not for everyone. I would definitely not recommend this film for those who dislike plots and movies that have long amounts of time between sex scenes. I do recommend this film for those who enjoy the works of Bob Chinn and films from the golden age of adult films. Although this film isn't as good as Chinn's earlier work, and pales in comparison to most of the plot driven adult entertainment from the golden age, it stands out from many of the films made today.
