Private Gold 19: Sex Voyage

Review brief: Directed by Jurgen Woolf Released 1997 VHS, 2001 DVD Cast: Dina Jewel, Susan, Petty, Danielle, Susanna, Orsolya, Roxy, Karen, Orsolya Blond, Eva Tyson, Jack Slater, Zoltan Hess, Attila Hun (aka Nick Lang), Francesco Martin, Andrew Youngman, Rudolf Antrim, Mike Foster (one of the guys is Zenza Raggi under a different name) Sex Voyage is the red-headed step sister to Private's Operation: Sex Seige, shot at the same time with the same cast on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean. The ship, painted with the Private logo, sailed to various ports in the western part of the sea, where Nic Cramer shot intensive set- piece action sequences (and some mediocre sex) for the big budget Sex Seige. My impression is that Sex Voyage had to shoot what it could, when it could, resulting in a so-so movie, one that does not hold up to the Private standard. It doesn't help that the video quality is abyssmal for a DVD, under-lit and with mucho grain. Still, things can't be too bad when Dina Jewel is on hand as star.

I had heard that there was a lot of violence towards females in anime, and after seeing this, I can confirm that it's worse than I heard. There are four segments, or 'operations' on this disk. Operation 1: Curious Fruit Operation 2: Sacred Girl Operation 3: Lover Doll Operation 4: Kirei Each one is divided into chapters, but nothing links the segments together, other than the overall similarity in the look and mannerisms of the characters. You know the look ~ the huge eyes and tiny mouths that, were it not for the giant boobs, you'd think these girls were 10 years old.

Sitting through "Fade to Blue" is like watching a collision between an extended "VH1"-style music video and a porno flick while zonked on Quaaludes. Imagine gorgeous photography, high production values, a good-looking cast, and dull, slow motion sex set to a bland, ever-present music soundtrack, and you have a good idea of what's in store. "Fade to Blue" tries very hard to be a slick, glossy stab at "art", but does this at the expense of any real excitement in the sex scenes. It's a very pretty flick, really, but its looks can't make up for the fact that I was sorely disappointed with the action. Juli narrates between the scenes, telling memories of her upbringing with her father at a small diner/gas station in the desert, and this is where all the action is set.

Review brief: This video is a collection of scenes from various Private movies. It is narrated by two women who match the women in the scenes w/ the astrological symbols; these women go through various states of undress while narrating this and star in their own scene at the end. You can see a full list of the scenes and where they are from here. I won't waste space describing the scenes. What I will spend time describing is the video quality, production, and what the girls look like. The girls are all predictably amazing looking except for the old blond, Helen Duvall, and Julia Spains. What disappointed me the most about this video is that some of the scenes look like they were dubbed off a crappy VHS tape. This includes scene 2 and scene 6 and scene 7 and scene 8. On the amazing babe side, Regina (scene 10) has legs that go on forever. It's too bad the scene was screwed up by being obviously shortened. Lolita (scene 7), Laura (scene 8), Diane (scene 5) and Cecilia (scene 2) area also awesome.

Are decent cartoonists that well paid here, as opposed to Denmark, Germany, Spain, and the Lesser Antilles (whatever THAT is), where these were originally done? When exactly they were dubbed in English, I'm not sure, I assume sometime in the 1900's. This is volume 4 of several, but the only one I've seen. It consists of 10 cartoons of varying quality, but all had a washed-out, old look to them. The sound is terrible and you'll need to keep your remote handy to keep adjusting it. There was no main menu, no chapters, and no extras. I suppose if you're into cartoons more than I am, you might enjoy these. I'm not a big fan of Japanese anime - but after seeing this, I might learn to appreciate it more.

Video/Audio Quality: Picture had a grainy look but it was only slight. Picture overall was okay. Audio was descent for the most part too. Themes: Touching/masturbation, oral, and toys. Review: Nina starts off with Midori and her guy friend (husband?) explaining the intricacies of touching and learning about one's partner. She takes us through the process of sexual awakening and arousal. She points out tips for guys and also emphasizes listening to one's partner. At the end of this segment, Nina helps Midori climax to one hell of an orgasm. Midori shook like a person having a seizure almost. It was something to see. After this Nina whacks off Mickey G. with Missy nearby. There really wasn't much else to the scene. Defintely not as much instructional matter to this scene as there was in the Midori scene.

Although the sex was fairly nasty, much of it felt rather drawn-out and tedious. Some of the other "Butt Row" installments were significantly better than this one; here's hoping that those efforts make it to DVD before too long, and that they leave this disc in the dust. I can't say that I could get much out of this one.

There's nothing here we all haven't seen done better some place else, and even though a couple of the girls on this DVD are more than nice to look at, they're not presented as they should be. I'll go on record and say I'm a fan of Chonnone, the French starlet who came and went like so many other second tier porn actresses. I'm convinced if she spoke English she'd have been a bigger star. Her body is really quite impressive, especially the ass part of it. It's that body which graces the this movie's box cover, and while she may not be recognizable to some, she is to me.

I had high hopes because of the beautiful cast, but I also remembered watching an Adamo video some months ago, and hating it due to the lack of heat in the sex scenes. As I watched Dangerous Things 1, I noticed again and again that Adamo put in touches that screamed out, "This is ART, dammit!" Subtlety gives way to ostentation. The movie begins with Sylvia Saint (gorgeous blonde Czech with a perfect body, as if you didn't know) describing the recent lack of success in her writing career. Actually, it is another actress with less of an accent, and her voice isn't nearly as sexy as Sylvia's. I wondered if this was a bad sign. As the voice over describes her love for her boyfriend, he appears in the person of David Perry.

Review brief: Scene One - Drive In Lovin - Kristi Myst The first 2 minutes or so shows Kristi out side a 50s style drive in / burger joint set. She is dressed in a Pink sweater and a strapless top with her hair done in a bee hive style do. She flirts with the camera in various poses flashing her breasts and ass. I have been a fan of Kristis for a while and she seems to be enjoying herself more so than usual here as she genually smiles at the camera while teasing the viewer. A nice feature was some of the camera shots were done in black and white, complete with the moving vertical black lines, to try to enhance the 50s style of TV. Cut to an in car make out scene with a combo hand / blow job from Kristi. it surprised me how much she was smiling throughout this. Review brief: This DVD isn't completely awful. Its biggest flaw is that three of the four scenes couple one guy I really find attractive with one guy I find utterly repulsive, to varying degrees, while the fourth features two handsome-deficient performers. Here's a breakdown: The package: Pretty standard stuff. At least the cast pictured in the artwork actually appears in this title! Stars: Paul Morgan, Emilio Sands, Kody Fields, Frankie V., Leo Masters, Rickee, Danny, and someone who apparently wishes to remain anonymous. To be honest, I don't know who any of these guys are except Paul Morgan and Emilio Sands, and the credits don't match actor to name, so I won't be addressing anyone by their stage name except them. The Menu: Actually kind of nice. It's animated, which is sort of unusual for something done on the cheap. Paul and Emilio appear in the background while a not-bad jazz theme plays, and then the two ugliest cast members rise up in the middle, which totally ruins it. Oh, well.

Review brief: As a rule, I generally ignore Vivid releases. After all the Vivid compilations Ive seen in my day, Ive come to the realization that they generally dont have much that Im interested in. Sure, every now and then theyll have a good scene, but that seems to be the exception to the rule. That being said, it looks like Vivid found out what it would take to get me to buy another Vivid flick. Jockstraps! How could I pass up a movie called Jockstrap? Not only that, but one of the special features promised on the back of the DVD is called VR Technology experience the Virtual Reality World. That sure sounds cool! So I was actually pretty excited to get my grubby little hands of this flick. Disappointment #1: There is only 1 jockstrap in this movie! Disappointment #2: There are no football uniforms in this movie! The guys may be wearing football pants on the cover, but they sure arent wearing anything like that in the movie! Disappointment #3: There is no lockerroom scene! All the sex happens outdoors.

Review brief: This DVD is your typical no-budget porn disc. There are a few girls who could rank as "cute", and the only girls who are borderline hot are Asia Carrera and Kitty Yung. In fact, Asia Carrera has been in the business so long that it seems like she's in every single video that has the word "asians" in the title. I don't even watch her anymore! Too many of the other chicks are skanky ho's. In fact, some of these girls don't even look asian. How did they get on this DVD? The sex is mostly uninspired and boring. The only redeeming quality I could mention is that in a couple of scenes it's fun to watch small Asian girls get pounded by huge black dicks... but even in those scenes, the girls really don't seem like they're into it. They make noise, but in some cases it sounds more like cows mooing than chicks getting rammed. The only extra feature to speak of is a series of phone sex ads. Boooooooring. If you get this disc, I'm guessing there will be maybe two or three scenes (out of 16) that you'll like and the rest is pretty lame.

Juli narrates between the scenes, telling memories of her upbringing with her father at a small diner/gas station in the desert, and this is where all the action is set.

Review brief: Scene One - Drive In Lovin - Kristi Myst The first 2 minutes or so shows Kristi out side a 50s style drive in / burger joint set. She is dressed in a Pink sweater and a strapless top with her hair done in a bee hive style do. She flirts with the camera in various poses flashing her breasts and ass. I have been a fan of Kristis for a while and she seems to be enjoying herself more so than usual here as she genually smiles at the camera while teasing the viewer. A nice feature was some of the camera shots were done in black and white, complete with the moving vertical black lines, to try to enhance the 50s style of TV. Cut to an in car make out scene with a combo hand / blow job from Kristi. it surprised me how much she was smiling throughout this. She also made some good eye contact with the male actor (name unknown). She rides him while in the car for awhile before he does her doggy style outside the car.

He has toured the country in search of the most desirable woman in America. He is now down to four finalists that he proceeds to showcase for our viewing pleasure. Finalist #1: An ugly hairdresser named Carolyn Carter (Carol Cummings) with dark hair and a bad boob job. Review brief: This DVD isn't completely awful. Its biggest flaw is that three of the four scenes couple one guy I really find attractive with one guy I find utterly repulsive, to varying degrees, while the fourth features two handsome-deficient performers. Here's a breakdown: The package: Pretty standard stuff. At least the cast pictured in the artwork actually appears in this title! Stars: Paul Morgan, Emilio Sands, Kody Fields, Frankie V., Leo Masters, Rickee, Danny, and someone who apparently wishes to remain anonymous. To be honest, I don't know who any of these guys are except Paul Morgan and Emilio Sands, and the credits don't match actor to name, so I won't be addressing anyone by their stage name except them. The Menu: Actually kind of nice. It's animated, which is sort of unusual for something done on the cheap. Paul and Emilio appear in the background while a not-bad jazz theme plays, and then the two ugliest cast members rise up in the middle, which totally ruins it. Oh, well.

Review brief: As a rule, I generally ignore Vivid releases. After all the Vivid compilations Ive seen in my day, Ive come to the realization that they generally dont have much that Im interested in. Sure, every now and then theyll have a good scene, but that seems to be the exception to the rule. That being said, it looks like Vivid found out what it would take to get me to buy another Vivid flick. Jockstraps! How could I pass up a movie called Jockstrap? Not only that, but one of the special features promised on the back of the DVD is called VR Technology experience the Virtual Reality World. That sure sounds cool! So I was actually pretty excited to get my grubby little hands of this flick. Disappointment #1: There is only 1 jockstrap in this movie! Disappointment #2: There are no football uniforms in this movie! The guys may be wearing football pants on the cover, but they sure arent wearing anything like that in the movie! Disappointment #3: There is no lockerroom scene! All the sex happens outdoors.

Its well written but quite sick in parts. Who Should Watch It : Fans of science fiction, mythology, and porno. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants to see consensual sex all the time. Audio /Video Quality: Both the audio and video are very good. It looks and sounds as good as Ive ever heard anime. Music: The music has the feel of a lot of anime. It fits the feature very well and adds a lot of emotion to it. Menus: Theres some decent animation that fits the feature pretty well. The Feature: Imma Youjo: The Erotic Temptress 4 takes a more feudal approach once again.

Music: The music has a definite eastern feel to it and matches a lot of the feature. Disc Problems: BEWARE of this DVD! Many of them are missing the English language subtitle. This is okay if you speak Japanese, but I cant say that I know anybody who does. To my knowledge, all of the Imma Youj0 Box Sets contain the defective DVD. Im going to break from my normal rule of not mentioning a specific e-tailer here. I received the Imma Youja Box Set for review and had the bad DVD.

Who Should Avoid It: People with a mild nurse fetish Audio /Video Quality: The audio varies. You can hear most everything, but that includes some background noises and directions as well as the sound. The outdoor scene also have a few problems with wind noise and some of the pop shot sequences are poorly dubbed. In a couple spots, the audio cut out completely for a second or two. The video is pretty clear but does show some grain at times. Music: None. Menus: As normal with Outlaws DVDs, the menus are very simple.

Who Should Avoid It: Fans of nasty sex. Audio /Video Quality: The audio is okay at best. Some of it is dubbed, and much of the dubbing is done very poorly. The video isnt much better. Theres a slight grain to the video and some of the pixelation is very bad. There are also a few flashes of other colors and color blocks at some points in the movie.

Review brief: This DVD is your typical no-budget porn disc. There are a few girls who could rank as "cute", and the only girls who are borderline hot are Asia Carrera and Kitty Yung. In fact, Asia Carrera has been in the business so long that it seems like she's in every single video that has the word "asians" in the title. I don't even watch her anymore! Too many of the other chicks are skanky ho's. In fact, some of these girls don't even look asian. How did they get on this DVD? The sex is mostly uninspired and boring. The only redeeming quality I could mention is that in a couple of scenes it's fun to watch small Asian girls get pounded by huge black dicks... but even in those scenes, the girls really don't seem like they're into it. They make noise, but in some cases it sounds more like cows mooing than chicks getting rammed. The only extra feature to speak of is a series of phone sex ads. Boooooooring. If you get this disc, I'm guessing there will be maybe two or three scenes (out of 16) that you'll like and the rest is pretty lame.
