Initial Expectations: I was nervous about this one until I saw Omar Wilson was involved, at which point my expectations went way up.

Initial Reaction: It’s a great idea, but the execution doesn’t always live up to it.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are a few spots that are a little muddy. The video is realistically lit, rather than showing everything with bright lights. Although I like to see everything, this works for me too due to the reality of it. The picture is slightly grainy, with occasionally flashes of pixelation, but is clear right out to the edge. Unfortunately, you get to see a bit of the crew poking in now and then.

Music: None.

Menus: The menus are very basic. The main menu is unanimated and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature: Sarah, an overly implanted brunette, narrates the story of Laura. Laura’s an office girl who’s mind wanders around the thought of fucking most everybody she comes in contact with rather than her job.

Laura starts out fantasizing about shagging her boss. In her fantasy, she finds him stroking himself and waiting for her when she brings him a file in her bra, panties, and fuck me pumps. They exchange oral favors on his desk before he fucks her in most of the common positions (including reverse cowgirl). Laura gets each of her holes taken care of, and finishes things with a decent facial. It’s an okay scene, but the editing style really held it back for me. Laura gets into it all nicely, but the positions cut from one to the next without showing any of the transition in between. Sadly, this trend continues through much of the movie, although not as badly as it is here.

Next up, Laura takes on a couple of her dishwater blonde colleagues. They work each other over with their tongue and fingers before breaking out the toys, and keep things going nicely between the three of them rather than leaving one out to play with herself. Yes, the other girls working on each other with a double dildo does mean that Laura’s left out, but she still stays right there watching and occasionally caressing them before fucking them with a pair of dildos and letting them team up on her to thank her. They bring the double dildo out for a little more play before finally turning the dildos on Laura for a DP and kissing. It’s a hot scene that most notably, feels like it came to a real ending rather than just having a timer go off. This always strikes me as a sign of a good director, since most of them don’t seem to be able to cleanly finish a scene without a spooge spray. Here, it comes to a natural feeling ending, which helped the scene end a little above average for me.

Laura stumbles upon Omar and Katrina getting it on in one of the back corners of the company. She watches as Omar plays with Katrina’s pussy, lets her suck his cock, and finally fucks the heck out of her. First they go at it standing up, and then Omar lays back on the floor so Katrina can ride his baloney pony reverse cowgirl style. They even work in a little pile driver before finishing things up missionary style and with Omar decorating Katrina’s face and upper body. It’s a pretty good scene, and the voyeurism aspect

Laura gives Michael and Donna a few directions to fuck in the final scene. She has them warm each other up orally before Donna lets Michael fuck her from behind and hops on to ride him. Finally, Laura joins in and rides Michael reverse cowgirl style with her pussy and ass. The girls team up to suck Michael a little after fucking him, but he can’t pop so they resort to kissing each other while Michael strokes himself until he can pop. It’s a very awkward scene. Laura’s directions are done as voiceovers, and as soon as she enters the scene, the chemistry drops. The ending is especially awkward, and makes this the worst scene in the feature.

Mind of a Horny Woman 1 is a great idea. Fantasies are wonderful things, and building them around your workplace is something that I think almost everybody can relate to. It also has the nice touch of using new faces that people haven’t seen a million times before, which means the people having sex in the movie are people you could easily see working in the same building as you. That said, Mind of a Horny Woman isn’t all sunshine. The voiceovers sometimes get in the way of the actual action, and are even a little annoying at times. Laura does a good job, but seems a little lost in many of her segments. Finally, the last scene, although a great idea, flounders so badly that it brings the entire series down a notch. Mind of a Horny Woman 1 uses a good idea for a series, and hopefully will improve with further episodes.

Overall: Currently, most of VCA’s Xplicit line of DVDs can be found online for between $9 and $227, with a few stores offering them near the lower end. Check this one out at the low end or rent it. The sex is pretty good with the exception of one scene, and the idea is great. The technical aspects aren’t the best, however, and there’s barely anything for extras.

Note to VCA: It’s great to see you keeping the price down on releases such as this.
