J. Hart, Mickey G., Ian Daniels, Sean Rider, and Mark Davis Initial Expectations: Im not quite sure what to expect here. The cast is good, but something about the cover makes me leery. Initial Reaction: Its nothing special, but it is a nice diversion Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for a straightforward porno Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting nastier sex or a plot Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty average. The sex scenes normally have decent sound, but the audio is often just a little muddy. Theres normally a bit of dialogue to start things out, but sometimes its very hard to make out. The video is much the same way. It has a small bit of grain, and looks just a little better than a VHS transfer. Its nicely lit, however, and the grain is very uniform throughout the presentation.

Review brief: Having used opera as an inspiration for LElisir DAmore and A Sicilian Tale (Cavalleria Rusticana), Lucas Kazan has now taken the plot of Leoncavallos I Pagliacci to create Under the Big Top. The strolling commedia del arte players of the opera have been updated as circus performers. Nedda the unfaithful wife becomes Nello. Other characters names remain the same. The opera opens with a sung prologue. A favorite among operatic baritones. Unfortunately Kazan has made the disastrous choice of having it sung by a singer who cannot sing it. Why, he didnt dub it if he wanted to use it, is beyond me. Wisely the singer does not try for the high notes at the end. He would have been even wiser not to have attempted the aria in the first place. Opera lovers and non-opera lovers alike will cringe and I suggst they just move on to chapter two where we find two supreme examples of masculine pulchritude (Slava Petrovitch, the Nello, and Pietro Rosselli, the Canio) kissing on the beach. The lovers are then discovered under the big top where Pietro is licking Slavas balls and luscious uncut cock.

Viewers that like a full plot with their adult fare or tamer sex will probably want to skip this title. If you are unsure of the film give it a rental and find out if it is for you.

Review brief: Acid Dreams Directed by Michael Ninn Overall Impression This is Ninn's second live action feature film for Private. It has the burden of some relatively high expectations considering the success of "Perfect". "Acid Dreams" is not perfect if you'll excuse the pun. It has some very strong scenes, but is a very uneven film. I'm generally a huge Ninn fan as well usually impressed with so called "artsy porn". Unfortunately Ninn lost me with his constantly skewed yellow color pallet and effects that failed to compliment the sexual action. This disc does manage to produce a few quality scenes and a great find in Mercedes. Plot "San Fransisco 1965 and the CIA is using brain bending techniques to test the psychosexual extremes of their subjects. Mind control is the name of the game, and mind blowing chicks are the bait. Set against the background of the cold war, Washington is going all out to win the race for mind control supremacy.

Review brief: Having used opera as an inspiration for LElisir DAmore and A Sicilian Tale (Cavalleria Rusticana), Lucas Kazan has now taken the plot of Leoncavallos I Pagliacci to create Under the Big Top. The strolling commedia del arte players of the opera have been updated as circus performers. Nedda the unfaithful wife becomes Nello. Other characters names remain the same. The opera opens with a sung prologue. A favorite among operatic baritones. Unfortunately Kazan has made the disastrous choice of having it sung by a singer who cannot sing it. Why, he didnt dub it if he wanted to use it, is beyond me. Wisely the singer does not try for the high notes at the end. He would have been even wiser not to have attempted the aria in the first place. Opera lovers and non-opera lovers alike will cringe and I suggst they just move on to chapter two where we find two supreme examples of masculine pulchritude (Slava Petrovitch, the Nello, and Pietro Rosselli, the Canio) kissing on the beach. I cant go into his movies with anything but extremely high expectations. Initial Reaction: This DVD should come with a drool rag! I think its the hottest movie Ive seen from Jules Jordan, and thats saying something! Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting straightforward, down and dirty sex Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting the extremely anal side of Jules Jordan Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Evil Angel DVDs, the technical aspects are excellent. The audio is clear and well balanced, without so much as a hint of background noise. The video is much the same way. Theres almost a hint of grain and its extremely well lit.

Review brief: Acid Dreams Directed by Michael Ninn Overall Impression This is Ninn's second live action feature film for Private. It has the burden of some relatively high expectations considering the success of "Perfect". "Acid Dreams" is not perfect if you'll excuse the pun. It has some very strong scenes, but is a very uneven film. I'm generally a huge Ninn fan as well usually impressed with so called "artsy porn". Unfortunately Ninn lost me with his constantly skewed yellow color pallet and effects that failed to compliment the sexual action. This disc does manage to produce a few quality scenes and a great find in Mercedes. Plot "San Fransisco 1965 and the CIA is using brain bending techniques to test the psychosexual extremes of their subjects. Mind control is the name of the game, and mind blowing chicks are the bait. Set against the background of the cold war, Washington is going all out to win the race for mind control supremacy.

Critically Acclaimed is a compilation disc that combines scenes from some of the slightly older Babes Illustrated issues. The photography and the settings are very colorful. She looks so hot in her black latex high boots, corset and long black gloves. Slayer is in great shape. He shows us a real power move when he lifts Harley to a standing '69. Nice move. The cameraman is right there giving us an incredible view of the action. We like the movement from position to position without lingering too long in one place. No need to fast forward because we have seen the same thing too long. It shows an understanding, on the part of the editor, the importance of timing. Slayer certainly knows how to satisfy Harley, himself and us! We like the cum shot.
